Simple, clean, friendly

However, it is spotlessly clean, the staff are friendly and helpful (but not understanding much else than mandarin chinese, some even only local dialect it seems), well located and amazing value for money. On checking out, we believed they didn´t charge us for all the rooms, or not all the nights stayed, so we had to ask the staff if that was the entire bill!

Wedding galore on China Golden Week
Reviewed By JoeBlokeWe were invited to a wedding dinner in Jingdezhen in Jiangxi and the hotel was booked a year ahead for the wedding guests due to the popularity of October 1 National Day celebration being an auspicious day for wedding ceremonies. The hotel reception area was huge and it is on the same floor as the dinner hall to host wedding functions etc . The room was fairly small with two single beds . Breakfast was definitely all Chinese and if you consider bread toast with butter and strawberry jam as western breakfast. Noodle soup is standard breakfast stuff . We only stayed two days and I noticed that the hotel is located centrally with access to a supermarket across the road . We were taken an ancient kiln park for ceramics by the hosts on our spare day The entrance fee of RMB 95 per person was a bit expensive and it was a huge park inside with ceramics pottery etc demonstrated.

Cold construction site
Reviewed By Thomas CWe choose the hotel for the many good recommondations. We found an old hotel with bad maintenance. The lobby was close to zero degrees when we arrived and construction was going on. The staff was not capable to speak more than 3 words english. The room was in bad shape, the furniture dirty, it was pretty loud, the aircon heater are not working (room temp. at arrival was close to zero) and even hot water was not available. Finally we decided to leave this hotel and take our chance on an alternative.

Visited in July 2020 as the Chinese tourism sector was opening up after pandemic
Reviewed By Oliver CVisiting just after internal travel warnings were lowered due to the pandemic my buddy and I were greeted with exceptional customer service and the front desk - probably the best I experienced in 10 years in China. Travellers from outside the region - especially foreigners - had to provide a lot of health and safety documentation and many hotels in the area decline to take foreigners due to the paperwork but the lady at the front desk was very helpful and patient and sorted everything for us, and was supportive the whole time. And another colleague even hand wrote a welcome card for us and provided a fruit basket. On our second day, we wanted to have a beer but the hotel didn't serve any cold beer, so the barman let us sit in the hotel bar with our tin cans and by himself without asking provided us with two ice buckets to keep the cans cool. The hotel itself is a little old but condition is generally very good, excellent downtown location with really great staff. If visit Jingdexhen again highly reccomend to stay here, really happy experience.

Excellent Service from staff, great Rooms , & Facilities

It was not busy, but the staff service was excellent and friendly , with the cleaning and maintenance staff all saying hi to us & making us feel very welcome & comfortable! The spacious rooms were of a very high standard, large comfortable bed, excellent air conditioning (36C outside) and the room had a safe & a large tv as well as a small fridge for drinks. Also the bathrooms were well appointed with large shower, nice bath and interesting glass wall into the bedroom. Also a lovely touch was a bowl of fresh fruit sent to the room every day. Hotel facilities included a large swimming pool and modern gym equipment, which were empty, so we had a great time! Using these facilities was very easy. The restaurant and breakfast area ( separate ) had an extensive range of Chinese dishes, with some western dishes & also sushi for breakfast. Quality was generally very good though the “cold milk “ was room temperature and did not work with the cereals provided. The lobby area was light, bright & very pleasant to sit in both during the day & in the evening. The hotel is situated on a lake & so the views around it are very nice. The hotel is out of the city centre but it’s just a short taxi ride away & taxis are plentiful. The hotel was therefore a good base for seeing the city & the attractions in it. The Ceramics Expo museum was very close by to the hotel which was very convenient. Overall a very good choice of hotel , good value, excellent service and high standard of rooms and facilities .... Enjoy!

Reviewed By Stephen MI must begin my review with a caveat: my wife and I are not seasoned China travelers, having never before visited. We came to Jungdezhen because of its magnificent history of porcelain production dating back many, many centuries. We were expecting a Western friendly hotel as we were booked into "the best hotel" in Jingdezhen. Simply put this is not a Westerner friendly hotel. On the simplest level, workable English was nearly non-existent among the staff (and we of course speak not a word of Chinese; thank goodness for Google Translator App) which is a problem in general but becomes an unpleasant problem when things are not quite right with accommodations. And, our accommodations were a problem. Starting with the room, it, like most of the hotel appeared to have sustained damage from water leakage over time. While our room was by and large okay to be in, the outer edges of the carpeting and where the wall met the carpeting clearly sustained damage that had moldered. The room itself was clean enough but not very clean, the bathroom was serviceable but not good. But, and I mean but, the most unpleasant thing about this room was the bed. It was essentially without a mattress; from what we could surmise we were to sleep on a bed frame only. From what I have come to learn, this is the "Asian style" of bed furniture and it is not, I repeat not comfortable. We managed to ameliorate the situation by insisting on additional quilts to create some kind of workable bed surface. It was not good. The hotel itself is a rambling, overbuilt concrete and glass building that is in significant disrepair. Hallway carpets are stained with water damage and while we were there we observed workers mopping up water seeping in from the rainy day outside. It is not pleasant. The food service is significantly Chinese, again with staff not speaking English and the offerings very different from the Western palette. No real complaints there as this is not a Western world but it was nonetheless difficult for us. And its distance from town made it inconvenient to do anything else about food. There is more that I could say but you get the gist. If you would like to go to Jingdezehn, a city itself that is rougher than the sophistication of Shanghai by a long stretch, think twice about staying here if you are not used to China.

Art shops restaurants & coffee bars makes this a great place to hang out - we arrived to a night market - and enjoyed the sculpture and refurbished kiln/factory spaces and places by day. Good quality hotel (USA level) good air con & WiFi with Chinese buffet breakfast- with great coffee! (Rare!)

Reviewed By Janelizabeth56This hotel was close to the fantastic Ceramics Museum which is well worth a visit. The room was clean and comfortable, if a little dated. Staff were genrally freindly. Western travellers need to understand: a) Beds in China are firm - it's fact of life and you have to adjust. b) it is unusual to get non-Chinese breakfast options in hotels. Get over it. c) Most people in China do not speak English - learn some Mandarin! Xiexie.
