If you’re after a winter sports holiday, you can’t find a more gorgeous place to do it than Interlaken, the popular Swiss resort town. There’s superlative skiing, toboggan rides, miles of sledding tracks (which, like the ski slopes, vary in difficulty), snowboarding… all with amazing views of the mountains. In summer, hike among the ibex at nearby Neiderhorn, or shop for watches in the town’s boutiques.

Hotel Rössli, nestling in the old quarter of Unterseen near Interlaken, is a popular base for holidays in Switzerland's beautiful Bernese Oberland. Our hotel offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, a central location, a stylish yet cosy ambiance and attractive rooms to suit all tastes. Rooms with balconies have views of the snow-clad Jungfrau and the Jungfraujoch-Top of Europe at 3454 metres above sea level!
Now that Switzerland has ended all Covid restrictions, I was able to enjoy another stay at this friendly, cosy traditional Swiss hotel, centrally and quietly located, a five minute walk from Interlaken West railway station/transport Interchange, from where you can explore the beauty of the Bernese Oberland. Christopher, Vilma, Khatia and the rest of the multilingual reception team are very efficient and welcoming and provide you with a hotel info leaflet and the Interlaken guest card that enables free local transport and provides discounts at some shops and attractions. They can also help with personal itineraries and tickets on the Jungfrau Railways system. My first floor, very clean simply furnished room had multi-channel TV, shower/toilet, very comfy bed, plenty of electrical sockets including USB charger ports, a free room safe and Wi-Fi access. The room was cleaned daily by very friendly and accommodating staff. Breakfasts were varied and plentiful with cereals, breads, toast, croissants, fresh fruit, yoghurts, jams, boiled eggs, cold meats, local cheeses, extra yummy scrambled eggs and bacon plus cold fruit drinks. Tea or coffee was served at your table. It was nice to see Jean Louis (Christopher’s father) in full swing again, welcoming his many returning guests and dispensing cheerful humorous comments, ensuring tea and coffee pots were always topped up and more importantly having the time to sit and discuss with his guests helpful travel tips. What an amazing host! The ground floor lounge has sitting areas, a widescreen TV, 24hr tea/coffee making facilities, a microwave plus plates and cutlery so guests can heat up their own food supplies and eat-in. There’s also a well stocked multilingual library for guests use. There’s another widescreen TV in the first floor lounge along with a supply of DVDs, laptop computer and children’s toys/games. Across the road from the hotel is a pharmacy, newsagent and pizza restaurant and within easy walking distance are several restaurants and a Coop supermarket that also have sandwiches, snacks and drinks that can sustain you on your daily excursions into the mountains. Thanks again for your hospitality and kindness. It’s much appreciated.

Our 4* Boutique Hotel Bellevue is situated in the heart of Interlaken on a sunny and quiet place directly on the bank of river Aare and is only 5 minutes walking distance away from the train station Interlaken WEST. All our rooms are equipped with A/C and have a balcony offering a great view of the river and nearby mountains. The hotel is the ideal starting point for business travelers and holiday guests: it is close to the city center yet well situated for excursions around Interlaken and to the mountains.
I do want to start out by saying this hotel was gorgeous, the balcony was amazing and the hotel room overall is very nice! However, we found a used condom wrapper next to our bed and the AC did not work. We contacted the hotel and—because we would only be there two nights—preferred a discount or comped night, but they only offered us an upgrade. The hotel staff were very apologetic, but said the only solution was the upgraded room, which felt like a given to me as we would not have stayed in the room after that!

We were very delighted when we chose to stay at Hotel Krebs. Our emails were responded to immediately and positively by Raffaella. The location of the hotel couldn’t be better. We were welcomed by Pauline who was kind and sweet to us. The room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was tasty and had good variety. The USP of the hotel is the staff all are kind and professional including the housekeeping. Angela did the checkout so professionally. We will surely return to the hotel.

A world-famous mountain backdrop, adventure and nature. This is what holidays in Interlaken in the Bernese Oberland are all about. The Jungfraujoch, north face of the Eiger, Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, Grindelwald and Aare gorge. Whether you like it cosy or extremely sporty, there is something for every taste in this region. Relaxation is provided by the wellness area and the restaurant of the Hapimag Resort Interlaken.
We stayed at Hapimag resort for 3 nights. The resort is 12 minutes of walk from Interlaken Ost station. There is a bus stop right in front of hotel as well. The apartments are very spacious. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment and it was quite spacious. The living area and balconies were huge. There were plenty of towels in the apartment and you could still get more from reception if you needed for pool etc. Hotel also has a temperature controlled pool, an adventure pool and steam/sauna rooms. All fun facilities to enjoy at the end of a tiring day or when its raining outside. There are plenty of restaurants at walking distance. We had a garden view apartment and the view from balcony was beautiful. On a clear day, you could see the Jungfrau mountain from balcony. Checkout process was smooth and fast. Reception staff was well informed and helpful. Overall a very good stay. Things that could be better The decor of the apartment was somewhat underwhelming. Things like balcony flooring, and bathroom tiles were somewhat basic. They were clean but not much color or design. Bathroom tiles were plain white, balcony flooring was basic cement and the whole apartment had like two small paintings. They could do a bit more in terms of decor and make it feel more like a 4 star property. Also, our apartment was not quite ready when we checked in. It appears that there was a last moment change of rooms and sofa cum bed was not converted to bed in this apartment. We informed the front desk and the lady present immediately got into action. It took an additional 30 minutes or so to get it all ready from there.

The Hotel Metropole is located in the Bernese Oberland, surrounded by beautiful mountain landscape. It is towering majestically above the rooftops of Interlaken.
Everything was great: room amazing, buffet for breakfast and for dinner we went on the 18th floor with fantastic view and very fine food. Hotel is a bit expensive, and the only minus is that sauna didn't work the time we were there. A recommendation definitely :)

Interlaken is a town with international flair. The unique location of the youth hostel next door to Interlaken-Ost Railway Station and at the foot of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau mountains offers boundless pleasure for adventurous guests. A train journey up to Jungfraujoch is one of the highlights of a trip through Switzerland. Jungfraujoch also boasts the highest railway station in Europe - at an altitude of 3,454 metres in a high-alpine wonderland of ice, snow and rock. The extensive ski areas with over 200 kilometres of pistes are also very popular in winter.
I have to say this is a world class youth hostel. Beautiful rooms. Ensuite availa Le. Clean. Smart Modern. Friendly. Good access via train to eiger. Great food and some of the best red wine I e ever had. A fabulous family holiday

We’re actually only on our first of four nights staying in this hotel at the time we’re writing this, but had such a great experience on our first day, that we had to go ahead and write a 5-star review! We booked the Salzano through on an online travel agency and didn’t really know what to expect, but loved the rustic Swiss chalet vibe and don’t mind a short (completely flat) walk or quick bus into town, so we booked it. Upon arriving this morning (June 5, 2022) around 11am, the lady at the front desk informed us our room wasn’t ready yet, but should be ready around 2pm. She offered to store our luggage for us, which was nice and we set off to exploring the area. When we returned around 3pm, she not only remembered us, but had already completed the check in process for us AND had taken our luggage to the room—a service we’ve never had done for us in all of our travels. She then gave us all the information for the spa, which was included with our room—being sauna enthusiasts, we were so excited for this feature. She also offered to book us a reservation at the restaurant. We immediately got to our room and got ready for the sauna. We ended up trying every room in the spa and loved the experience. The panorama sauna was our favorite and we really liked the outdoor showers. The spa is a naked spa, but we really didn’t mind and it was not busy or crowded, so we were very at ease. We are greatly looking forward to our next 3 nights stay and hoping to give the restaurant a try before our stay has concluded. Yes, it’s a bit outside of the center of Interlaken, but the #21 bus is super easy (we haven’t spent more than 8-10 minutes on it back into town and the stop is only a few yards from the front door of the Salzano OR it’s only a 20 minute walk, if you’re so inclined… Would definitely recommend the Salzano if you’re looking for a quiet, Swiss chalet vibe with gorgeous views of the mountains (we’re street side and still have an extraordinary view!)

The hotel is very modern and the lobby is like an art gallery. The staff at the reception was new and did not have much valid information. Even though we arrived late, there was a line up and it took a while to be checked in. The room was a good size, the phone in the room did not work and as the bed only had one pillow and 2 cushions(which I do not want to use), I went down and requested an extra pillow but I was told they had no spares. Breakfast is served in a beautiful room, but they had all the doors and window closed . It was full of people and very warm. Post Covid, you still want to be a bit cautious. On the good side, they had cold oat milk available.

Location is very good, room is spacious, but some what outdated, the bed is too soft and there is a big split between two mattresses. Fridge is available in the room, which is great! Breakfast is limited (without milk alternatives lipje oat or soja), but the way it’s served in glass pots is nice. Internet is very bad even on the street view side. Welcome on the check in day was very friendly and professional from the owner, however next day the service was very poor and not professional at all (we asked for an advise on one of the common boat trips and were advised to google it ourselves…, so tourist office in the city center helped us much more and professional). Bus stop is next to the hotel, which is very comfortable, but also the nice walk through the old town is easy and pleasant. There is a coffee & cake time offered for free during the day 14:00-18:00 for the guests - nice touch! Interlaken area public transport tickets are provided with the booking including some discounts too - very well arranged. Parking on the hotel property is easy and comfortable, included in the booking.

Stella Hotel Interlaken puts the best of Interlaken at your fingertips, making your stay both relaxing and enjoyable.
We chose the Stella for walkability from the Interlaken West train station and are so glad that we did. The room was the largest of European hotels on our extended trip, with a mountain-top view. The grounds are lovely and there is a nice place to sit near a fountain to enjoy a morning or evening beverage or just take a breather from your day. The breakfast buffet was AMAZING and everyone was pleasant and helpful. Above all, it is family owned and operated and Elisabeth and Bastian made us feel like houseguests rather than just another room number. They were absolutley delightful and so helpful in assisting us with directions and suggestions for day trips, history of the area, etc. We will recommend to others and would certainly return should our travels find us in Switzerland again.
