Domaine de La TORTINIERE is a charming Chateau Hotel in the heart of the Loire Valley, in a 15 acres Parc overlooking the Indre River near the Village of Montbazon. Wonderful place with charm and Luxury ideal for a visit of the Loire valley Castle (between Azay le Rideau and Chenonceau, children loves it, warm welcome), nice service and delicious restaurant. At your disposal on the spot: billiards, outside swimming-pool, tennis court, ping-pong table, massage room and sauna.
Beautiful chateau
Reviewed By 55ChrispyA beautiful chateau conveniently located a short distance from the autoroute. We were lucky enough to have our room upgraded, it was spacious and well presented with a tiny balcony overlooking the grounds down to the Indre. The grounds are extensive and you can walk down through the woods to the river where the hotel keeps a small boat which you can use if you feel inclined. Staff were friendly and efficient. The restaurant has 2 menus, one for fine dining and a bistro menu. Likewise there are 2 options for breakfast, full or simple. All are served in the same restaurant below the chateau. We opted for the fine dining menu which was very pleasant. We did feel the décor of the restaurant did not live up to the splendour of the chateau. All in all, a calm and relaxing retreat in the heart of the Loire.

What stood out most for us was the welcome we received on arrival - Bruno and his team couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful! Would definitely visit again.

Reviewed By Travel10056125344Very rustic hotel .It is like an old mansion The rooms were so nice and traditionally decorated Breakfast was nice with fresh croissants etc .The only problem was that the night before,we arrived late and there was no help even for a lite dinner ,Kitchen closes at 8.30 and that’s it .The village is very very small so you can’t find anything to eat there .So be careful The hotel is nicely located near all the main chateaux.

Even before we arrived from the U.S., they were helpful in recommendations on planning, restaurants, chateaus. We would have stayed all 5 nights there if they had had room. We loved the location - walkable in Amboise to all of the restaurants and shopping and the castle and Clos de Luce. The breakfast was elegant, plentiful, and well worth enjoying at least one morning, if not every morning. Rooms and beds were comfortable, quiet, and we appreciated that they had parking at the home for us. It felt magical to stay in what has obviously been a lovely, elegant large home for VERY long time.

Reviewed By lkarpo830858AC was advertised but it didn’t work. Room was like a shoebox with no air. Staff was no helpful with checking in and didnt access with luggage.. Cindy at checkout was very friendly. Garage parking very tight with construction crew.

Great Stay at Manoir du Parc!
Reviewed By aprillove1625This place was great! The location was awesome and it really only does take 5 mins to walk to the main area of town where the Chateau and restaurants and bars are located. We checked in around 430 with no issues. I didn’t get the woman’s name that checked us in but she was very friendly and helpful. She did speak English so that was a relief! There were 3 of us so we had an apartment that isn’t attached to the main house. The beds were comfortable and the kitchenette was equipped with dishes, microwave, sink and fridge. Very clean. There is free off street parking also a big bonus, in my opinion. Also a pool that looked nice but we just didn’t have time to enjoy it. We ordered breakfast the first morning and it was a basket of baguette, chocolate and plain croissants, OJ, coffee, butter and assorted jams. It was really good. You just have to let her know the day before if you want to order that. It is not included in the room price. The WiFi worked well the first night but wasn’t great the other two nights but we’ve come to expect that when staying in hotels in the US and abroad so nothing to complain about. I would recommend and will definitely stay here again if I get to visit Amboise in the future.

Reviewed By 604gcGreat reception on arrival for a three night stay. Covid rules being well applied and enforced. Very clean and tidy, breakfast good choice. Would highly recommend and stay again if visiting Tours / chateau's again. Ideally located and plenty of eating houses near if needed.

Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely owners. Friendly and caring people. Safe parking and ideal location for the châteaux. Only a 15 minute walk to Chenonceaux. A perfect holiday thanks to Clair Cottage.

It’s a small quaint place away from the hustle of Paris, but in the middle of a beautiful middle age village with an amazing castle around the street. The hotel is comfortable, and clean. In my opinion it was the perfect base to explore this amazing area of France!
