Situated on Ilha Grande on the beach Abraaozinho Bonito Paraíso has a beautiful main house with 3 rooms, sea front and other incredible 4 bedrooms up a pleasant trail in the forest house. This trail offers panoramic views where you can appreciate the immensity of the landscape. All the rooms have a queen size sommier bed, tv, air conditioning, WIFI service, minibar, private bath and beautiful views of the sea or the jungle.
If I could leave 10 stars I absolutely would!!! I’ve been to my fair share of islands and had experiences from almost being stranded on an island with no accommodations, to having the sand brushed off my beach chair at boujee beach clubs. Bonito Paraiso is SPECIAL. Beyond beautiful location tucked away on the edge of the ilha, magnificent beach with sparkly black sand (great photo ops) The staff here is incredible- Sergio in the front goes above and beyond to make sure every single need/want/question is met and answered. From sun up to sun down the team at Bonita Paraiso are so helpful and such a good vibe. I had everything I could have ever asked for here, AND MORE.

We arrived in the Pousada and there was no light in the Island. It would have been ok if the pousada Convés had a generator. The generator was not working. We had to go to the pousada beside(where the generator was working) to have dinner and charge our mobiles. To make things worse, the room we were had no water during the whole night, this means we could not flush the toilet during the night, neither brush the teeth in the morning) Definitely, I do not recommend this place to anyone, luckily we stayed only one night. Portugues…

ASALEM is a seaside hideaway situated in Ilha Grande, a protected reserve of natural land where no cars are allowed. All our 8 enchanting waterfront suites are surrounded by the rain forest that overlooks the spectacular Bay of Abraäo. The forest brings frequent visitors, including monkeys, squirrels, fireflies, blue butterflies and a wide variety of exotic tropical birds. This unspoiled peace of paradise is the perfect spot for honeymooners looking for privacy: we are 20 minutes apart from the main village walking in an accessible path or 5 minutes by the taxi boat we provide. Apart from the taxi boat service, available 24/7, we can arrange boat trips, transfers, massages, scuba diving, snorkeling and guided hikes.
If your looking for a place where time is irrelevant and you just want to turn off your phone, and relax. This is the place!!! From start to finish our stay was peaceful, picturesque and beautiful. We received a warm welcome. The room was amazing. This place really is as good as it looks in the pictures. Better even. Happy hour cocktails were great. Breakfast and dinner is all prepared and cooked by the owner, which gives it a real quaint feel. Also tastes great. We will certainly be back.

Every day we were introduced to a new delicious treat, on the lovely veranda by a very professional chef and staff. The treetop setting surrounded by gardens and Mountain View was exquisite. Best of all, our host Dani took a sincere interest in us as her guests, and my husband and I definitely hope to return!

I stayed here recently for 2 nights. The rooms are quite small and basic but they're comfortable, with safe, TV and (noisy) air conditioning. There's a reasonable range of options at breakfast options, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The beautiful island "Ilha Grande", 140 km / 90 miles south of Rio de Janeiro. The main village, "Abraao", can be reached by bus and ferry in just 4 hours from Rio. Located at the end of the Abraao beach, distant of the commercial establishments to some 500 mts. TAGOMAGO was build in wood, on the slopes overlooking the bay in 2005, and is surrounded by tropical vegetation.
Fantastic place. Delicious breakfast made with lots of love. Good accommodations. Friendly staff. We had fun there. Already missing the place... and the cat! Tips: there are some stairs to go up. The hammocks are very comfy.

Pousada do Preto is a friendly and cozy and simple, where you will have direct contact with the owners who are of Japanese descent. The food is very varied and plentiful. The tours are conducted for the most known points of the Bay of Ilha Grande and Angra Bay.
The hotel saw its best days som 30 years ago. It makes the place somewhat spooky. Everything works though, and the included dinner, for only two-three families (in March, after brazilian holliday), was a buffet of several courses.

Pousada Dolce Vita is all about relaxing. It's about forgetting the world, kicking off your shoes and sitting back. It's about letting the sun, the air and the blue skies in. It's the good life. The life you always dream about. And here it is, waiting for you to embrace it. Surrounded by sandy beaches, la Dolce Vita is a haven for exploration, relaxation and meditation. Leave your troubles behind and rest your soul on Praia Vermelha. Comfortable accomodation awaits you and your family on the scenic island of Ilha Grande.
La Dolce Vita was good for what it was, but I wish my husband had found us somewhere a little nicer to stay. The staff was very helpful and relaxed, and fed us even when the restaurant was closed (lucky, since there was nowhere else to eat). I found the location a bit remote as there is no other restaurant option (in late April) and no stores whatsoever. The view from our window was spectacular. We were eaten alive by killer mosquitoes but can't blame the hotel for that. The power was turned off every day for the day and sometimes it was turned back on by dark. Sometimes not, but eventually...Did I mention the food wasn't very good? Except for breakfast, which was excellent and abundant.

This is one of those rare gems that looks better than the photos! Mainly female staff were so friendly and happy to answer questions. Stayed in the 4 bed girls dorm at the front - if you plan on early nights then maybe not the best choice for you, but once music stops around 11pm, I passed out in the comfy bed. You'll need to sleep with the air con on and grab a fleecy blanket. Shared bathroom was really clean. In fact, the whole place was truly clean. Free welcome drink, also just a really welcoming space. I was pleased to turn up here. Wi fi was good enough to make a whatsapp call back to England for a long chat. Felt very safe walking back late at night, it's right in the middle of everything on the main track through the island but away from the drag of busier restaurants. If you're alone and wary, thought there are many lovely places to stay tucked away up alleyways in the direction of the mountains, this is a better option given its proximity to everything and ease of getting to :) Did have a slight issue with lack of hot water but travelling through Brazil, I think what us English call hot water is hard to come by!
