We were here during the start of the Corona crisis (second week of march). We were welcomed by the housekeeper who doesn't speak one word of English. Difficult to communicate with. We were shown the room, but received no further explanation of the building or breakfast (times?). In the room were several things that dissapointed us: the fridge makes a hell of noise, the door to the bathroom is see through, there's a plate behind the tv that is loose, the light next to the frontdoor can not be switched off, so the room is bathing in light when you want to sleep, only one of the bedsight lamps was working, the bath/shower is super slippery and the shower head needs to be held by hand for there is no way to attach it to the wall. We stayed 5 nights but never received clean towels. There's a deadly virus and keeping yourself clean is of the utmost importance! We at least expected a change every other day. What surprised most is that after the partial lockdown of Spain and the island no one told us about the rules (not going on the street, don't shop together, keep distance). The fact that this appartment is quit and not touristic makes up for a part of this, but overall we did not have a good experience here.

José was a very attentive host, pointing us in the right direction (literally) for walks, visits and our morning runs (after which we enjoyed a hearty à la carte breakfast, with good coffee and marmalade, homemade with the oranges just outside.) The old house, abandoned for 20 years has been lovingly and sympathetically restored. Our room was comfortable and spacious, luxurious yet uncluttered with a very comfortable bed and great shower (always top of our list.) Haria is a nice village with just enough restaurants for a few nights' stay. We didn't eat dinner at La Casa de los Naranjos, simply because we like to get out and about, but that is an option. Would highly recommend and wish José and his family all success.

The Perdomo family invites you to live the essence of the island of Lanzarote. An emblematic house built in the 18th century, with a mixture of flavours and modern decor with a warm and intimate atmosphere that allows you to get away from the rush of everyday life and immerse yourself in the subtle pace of life of the locals.
The hotel has lots of character but had a definite out-of-season vibe. Partly because the weather was wet and chilly. Most of the little sitting areas that are shown in the photos were either un-usable or completely absent. The pool area was lovely but usually too cold to sit out. The room was large, nicely fitted out, but freezing. Even when the sun is out I doubt that room (Blue) is ever warm. No coffee/tea facilities. No sign of the sauna. But the worst thing was the communication with the owner: 1. we were asked the day before arrival what time we would arrive (we said 4pm) even though we'd answered this question already via booking.com. But on arrival the place was utterly deserted. After a while we decided to phone. The owner was expecting our call (!) but said he could not be there for an hour. However he would ask the gardener to meet us there in 15 mins. Why agree an arrival time then have nobody there to meet us? Or even explain we should phone on arrival? Not a great welcome! 2. breakfast was provided in the little corridor outside our room. The first morning it was lovely, with the doors open looking out onto the pool. But the food was identical every single day. And on cold mornings we needed coats on as, without the doors open, there was not enough light to eat by. By the last morning we persuaded the owner to let us eat in the dining room with the other guests, which was MUCH better! I know there has been covid restrictions, but restaurants were always full, so why we needed to eat in a cold corridor on our own was a mystery. 3. one day we returned to the hotel to find the electricity off in our room. We phoned the owner and left a message. When no call back happened after half an hour we investigated; we found a fuse cupboard in the corridor in which one of the circuit breakers was off. We switched it on, and lo and behold we had power again! We phoned again to say we had sorted it out ourselves. But the next morning the owner had still not even noticed the missed calls from us! Supposing we had been in pitch black all night? Apparently he had been at the opera in Gran Canaria, but he really should have given us a local contact for emergencies! We did enjoy Haria, esp all the Cesar Manrique attractions and the village and local restaurants. Its just that the hotel was not quite up to scratch. Maybe we can blame covid :-)

The Nada Mas is a very quite and cozy ambient located in a beautiful natural, wild and "kind of desert looking" environment with stunning panoramic views from its about 5-600 meters of altitude, in the central-north side of Lanzarote, far away from the tourist, noisy places. At this location you can enjoy every day both a beautiful sunrise and sunset and plenty of stars at night. Furthermore, from here you can easily and quickly reach all the sites of the island. In the close villages (Harìa, the closest, is really lovely and relaxing) you can find all the services, markets, bars and very good restaurants. Perfect room cleanings, rich and varied breakfast with very good quality sweet and savory products: you won t easily forget the goat yogurt, the fresh and dried fruit salad, fruit juices, the croissant and the very good italian coffee!! Carlo is a very nice host, attentive and caring towards his guests. Very pleasant and nice interlocutor, he can provide you all the tips about the best places on the island, what to do, when and possibly how to save time and money depending on what you wanna do as traveler or tourist. Thank you very much Carlo for the beautiful stay we got at your place!!! Lanzarote is a beautiful island, magic and charming. I will for sure come back here soon and the Nada Mas will be again my choice. Highly recommended. Alessandro & Paola - October 2019
