Second only to Berlin in size and population, the city of Hamburg is home to one of the biggest harbors in Europe. A stroll along its many waterways and canals illustrates why it has been called the "Venice of the North." Don't miss a trip to the local fish market (Fischmarkt), the Merchants District (marked by its imposing red-brick architecture), a fine dining experience along the river or a night out in the university quarter. And did we mention the Reeperbahn (red light district)? It's quite famous for its… red lights.

Have you ever felt the heartbeat of a city? It’s not that simple, because to do that, it has to have a heart. And then you have to find it. In Hamburg’s spectacular HafenCity, it even has an address: Am Sandtorkai 46. That’s diagonally opposite the world heritage Speicherstadt warehouse district and right in the middle of yesterday, today and tomorrow. Crazy, right? The huge building has 212 inspirational rooms for new visitors and those who already know Hamburg, and sets itself apart from all other hotels on the planet from the first look. What does hotel mean here, anyway? It’s a living thing. A place that welcomes both families with children and business travellers with open arms and never lets go. This is how you feel the heartbeat. Just come straight through the door into the pulsating atmosphere and let yourself be carried through the hotel. In the rooftop garden, MOON 46, for example, you can imagine you’re picking flowers and enjoy a fantastic view of the HafenCity. On the first floor, you can sleep in a caravan in CAMPER CITY if your inner adventurer is calling. But first you need to drop the kids off in the RACKER ROOM and read from your memoirs, or listen to someone else read theirs, at the HAFENBÜHNE theatre. Of course, you can also simply feast on cuisines from around the world in the KITCHENS restaurant, hire a cargo bike at DREICYCLE, browse the hotel’s shop PIERTHINGS for souvenirs for everyone back home or watch one blockbuster after another at the premium cinema next door. Or you could forgo all that and enjoy some well-earned peace and quiet. Does it sound too good to be true? Well, this is the hotel of your dreams!
The hotel is within 10-15 minutes walking distance from the center. Parking is 12€ per day. rooms were large and clean. You can get a room with the Miniatur Wunderland package. breakfast 19€ per person. the atmosphere was fine. The hotel abides by the pandemic rules.

Exceptionally clean hostel located near the central station in Hamburg. The area around the hostel isn’t the best, but felt very safe within the hostel itself. Staff were friendly and willing to help. Cabins are well-equipped and funky - they have dimmable lights and a bluetooth sound system. Overall, would highly recommend and will definitely be staying here again if I return to Hamburg!

Moin! A true hanseatic word that facilitates any conversation to a local Hamburger.
Stayed here for one night over The Ascension weekend in May 2022 with my teenage daughter while visiting Hamburg. I use Marriott hotels a lot but had never tried the Moxy brand before. I found it fine for one night. The price level is lower, and the rooms reflect this. They are small and basic, and things like a closet, fridge, kettle and coffee/tea are not to be found. I noticed the bed quality was lower than other marriott brands too. Having said that the hotel was clean and new. Waited 20 minutes to check in which was a bummer. Ok for a couple nights but not more as it is a more a budget hotel.

The Scandic Hamburg Emporio combines sustainability, Scandinavian design and functionality in a unique way. The concept of "water" as a stylish design theme can be found throughout the hotel. The Hamburg hotel has 340 rooms in two categories, a restaurant and bar "H20", as well as eight conference rooms with a view across the city. Thanks to its location on Gansemarkt in the heart of the city, the Scandic Hamburg Emporio is the ideal starting point for holidaymakers and business travellers. It is part of the Scandic Hotel Group that has more than 280 hotels in Europe and is considered a pioneer in environmentallyfriendly tourism. *Note: To protect the health of our guests and team members, we have introduced special safety precautions and measures. These include special cleaning routines in the public areas and in the guest rooms, the wearing of face masks and the availability of hygiene dispensers for hand disinfection in all areas. Note: Due to the situation our restaurant is temporarly closed. In our Scandic Shop open 24/7 you will still find a selection of snacks and drinks.
I like the hotel from the receptionist to room service. I love that the minibar was served free of charge. At the same time, the hotel's Loyalty programs are also very successful. Having coffee and tea in the room is also an important service for me.

Prizeotel Hamburg-City awaits you here at the exciting location between the Elbe Bridge, Hafencity (Harbor City), Großmarkt (wholesale market) and the Deichtorhallen (Deichtor Halls). An economy design hotel that is just as exceptional as the city it lies in. The New York top-designer Karim Rashid gave the prizeotel its fabulous style by addressing even the smallest of details. Through this, he successfully managed to combine the super trendy design and the hospitality in a relaxed atmosphere. We see our guest not as customers, but as friends and that's how you'll be greeted. With a lot of passion, service and friendliness. With readiness to help and a bunch of gimmicks, we want to create a lot more than just a simple overnight stay. Our goal is for you to leave us with memories of an extraordinary style; a comfortable room; technology, that facilitates life and somehow a unique atmosphere.
Surprising that this hotel is 2 star. Very comfortable and clean. Breakfast is well worth it. Good location for the attractions within the harbour area; Miniature Wunderland, Maritime Museum etc. taxi ride into Reeperbahn that cost about 11 Euros so, well worth it. Having the car park at the hotel is a nice bonus.

Centrally located next to the UNESCO world heritage site of Hamburger Speicherstadt, is the brand new Adina Apartment Hotel Hamburg Speicherstadt – your other address in Hamburg. In the heart of the city and close to the main shopping district, the Elbphilharmonie, the 202 room apartment hotel offers studio rooms as well as one & two bedroom apartments. Situated on the famous Spiegel Island right beside the beautiful Elbe River, the hotel´s three creative conference spaces, all with natural light, are catered by the stunning restaurant. The hotel´s lobby bar will be sure a place to meet and unwind for the local community.
Nice hotel, got everything you need in a decent size room (kitchen, washing, stove if you want to use that) Very friendly front reception staff, good size of the room, nice design bathroom, nicely furnitured, great location (cloose to the Speicherstadt, Elbphilharmonie and city center) Could imagine myself booking the same hotel if im returning to Hamburg in the future.

You'll have Hamburg's top attractions right on your doorstep when you stay at our Premier Inn Hamburg City Centre hotel. Kids will love tasting some local chocolate at the Chocoversum museum, before having a go at making their own. The model railway centre Miniatur Wunderland is well worth a visit for families, too, and the exciting rides and amusements at Heide Park are only an hour's drive away. Discover Hamburg's culture with a walk around the picturesque Altstadt, as well as the historic Speicherstadt district. If you want to venture further out, the nearby Messberg U-Bahn station makes it easy to get around Hamburg. After a long day of exploring, you can look forward to a tasty meal back at our in-house lounge restaurant.
We recently spent a week in this hotel whilst visiting family. We have stayed in Premier Inns in the UK before and found them to be fairly basic but adequate for a short stay but this Premier Inn is in a different class. It is only 3 years old, one of which it was largely unused due to the pandemic, and as such, it is very clean and new. There is a very comfortable bar/lounge adjacent to reception where a relaxing drink or coffee can be had at reasonable prices. We opted for the buffet breakfast which had everything you could want (cereals, fresh fruit, cheese, cooked meats, scrambled or boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, breads, toast, pastries etc). We found the breakfast room a little crowded during the weekend but much quieter on weekdays. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are kept spotlessly clean. Only suggestions for improvement are largely down to the design of the rooms which we know are standard across this chain but we thought that for stays of longer than 2-3 nights more hanging space and some drawer space would be helpful. Also a hook in the bathroom for the hand towel would be good. Finally, there are some tables and chairs outside the breakfast room and, on a nice day, we thought it would be nice to sit there in the afternoon/early evening with a cold drink. However the chairs are chained up making this impossible. I assume this is for security reasons, which I understand, but I think the hotel may lose business during the summer as it is a nice spot. The location of this hotel is great - right next to Meßburg u-Bahn station for easy access to the airport and other places and easy walking distance in one direction to the Rathaus, Alster and main shopping area and in the other direction to Hafen City, Minatur Wunderland etc. There are plenty of bars, restaurants etc within a short distance.

Above St.-Pauli-Landungsbrücken and the historic Alter Elbtunnel, in the center of maritime Hamburg, is the Hotel Hafen Hamburg located and offers an exclusive view over the Port of Hamburg and the River Elbe. The 380 rooms of the Hotel Hafen Hamburg are divided into six categories and are all equipped with wireless internet, telephone, mini-fridge,safe and flat screen television. The hotel restaurant "Port" with its summer terrace serves regional maritime and international cuisine. Guests may choose between the pub "Willis Bierstube" and the bar "Tower Bar", the latter 60 meters high above the port with a wonderful view overlooking the River Elbe and the St.-Pauli-Landungsbrücken. Since March 2015 the Hafen Diner Burger & Bar upgrades the gastronomic facilities within the Hotel. For business and social events of all kinds there are six conference rooms, among them the "Elbkuppel". The Hotel Hafen Hamburg is located in St. Pauli with acces to Underground and S-Bahn train in only 2-minutes-walk.
My experience in this hotel was horrible: a very unpolite and rude receptionist refused my vaccination with boosting even though corresponding not only to the EU rules but also to the rules of the City of Hamburg published on the webpages - see the picture. I recovered from covid in December 2020 and afterwards I received 1 vaccination instead of 2 and the booster on the 16/1/2022 so my EU vaccination certificate correctly indicates 2/1. It is allowed to enter everywhere without any additional antigenic or PCR test in Hamburg (GENESENE MIT 2 IMPFUNGEN). The lady at the reception told me that I should have been recovered from Covid less than 3 months ago with 2 vaccinations and not recovered more than 3 months ago and vaccinated afterwards. She also accused me that I was showing a false test because I had a test made on the same week but more than 48 hours before my arrival. She cancelled my booking and invited me to leave immediately the hotel. I will send a letter to the Hotel Manager and also to some hotel association and to the Mayor of the City because it is unacceptable to be treated like this only because the receptionist was not aware about the current rules and her app for covid check not fully updated to it. I was in a hurry due to another business meeting and reached another hotel found where I was accepted without any ssue. If I had had more time I would have called the police in order to face the receptionist who also refused to call the Hotel Manager. Anyway my meeting was held in the hotel restaurant Port where I was allowed to enter without any issue with my Covid certification!
