I could not go into deep dive details of our stay because we had not the chances to stay in! we booked more than 3 months before, on the correct date we arrived around 5 p.m. (so not too late) the receptionist looked at us in saying "sorry, I did an error and I gave out your room to other guests" solution proposed: a tinier room (we booked a superior) with the extra bed as being a mattress on the floor ... honestly unacceptable. problems like that could happen, it's not the first time, but the reaction you are expecting from the hotel has to be: a better room or a room in another hotel, same quality or better. our solution: we found a better hotel with less price just 30 minutes far from this place ... we did it by our own ...

The camp site for nature lovers with a private sandy beach and a view of the Little Belt from the entire site. Ample opportunities for fishing, surfing, sailing and pony riding. Also jumping castles, indoor activity room with a TV room and game room. Small shop, WIFI, nine luxury cabins with private bathrooms and 20 regular cabins.
After staying on some other campsites in the area and being disappointed, I was sceptical about this one. No reason to be however. It's clean, has a great play ground, very friendly owners and a superb location. Plus there are not so many permanent campers with attitudes and noisy dogs. Maybe as it's a bit more expensive to stay here that has kept the campers whom believe their kids can make noise and basically ruin other people's hollidays away. So in short, great site and no horrible campers in site ?.

Cosy Danish inn, with a nice restaurant incl. Trational Danish and international food, country surrounding.
"Den gamle grænsekro"/the Inn by the former Border" is a beautiful old inn, dating back from the 1600's, located few hundred meters from the earlier much disputed border between Germany and Denmark. Across from the inn is a museum dedicated to the topic. The inn, or rather manor house, is kept updated and well maintained, outside as well as inside, and the rooms are spacious, well appointed, and in beautiful colours and materials. The inn is a popular venue for weddings, conferences etc, but does also cater for individual guests. Breakfast is scrumptious with many kinds of cereals, juice, bread, ham, salmon, salami, cheese, fruit, yoghurt, marmalade etc. and service is quick and very helpful, indeed.

This is a kind of difficult review to write, but I think one of the great things about Tripadvisor is to remain dispassionate and to help other travellers manage their expectations, so the Bottom Line Up Front is this hotel was perfectly fine for a 5-night business trip, but there are some caveats. Firstly the good stuff. Great location. The hotel is on the western side of Haderslev, easy access from the motorway and once settled in, just a 5-10 minute walk into the centre of town which has a pretty wide variety of places to eat. Nice views overlooking the grounds and lake, particularly from the dining room. It's clean, has great w-fi, and puts on a pretty good breakfast (which was the only meal we took in the hotel). It also has a comfortable bar, only a small selection of beers, but enough for us. Now for the middling stuff. Once away from the nice, bright reception area, it reminded me of my primary school from the 1970s! And walking into the corridor to my room, a flashback to being in on an overnight North Sea ferry. The room itself was basic. Bed (which was comfortable), chair, fixed desk, one drawer for storage but quite a bit of hanging space. Oh, and the tele, which I never switched on. The bathroom (shower) was clean, but again strictly functional. No fridge, water or any beverage making stuff. Big window across the width of the room, but the curtains were ok for surpressing the early morning light. my room faced the back of the hotel, so sleep was disturbed from 05:00 with delivery lorries reversing into the space. Parking. On first glance, there appears to be loads of parking. However, returning from work at about 17:30, I routinely found it to be pretty full. On one occasion, it was 100% full and I had to find elsewhere. I think it's shared with people visiting the park, or why else would you have to pay extra (45DKK) for an overnight parking ticket? Breakfast doesn't start until 07:00. Our working day started at 07:30, so that wasn't good. However, the hotel was super busy with contractors working at the nearby air base (If you want to discover everything about the F-35 fighter programme, this hotel comes strongly recommended), also in the same boat as us. So kudos for the staff for having breakfast ready to go at 06:30 (the cold stuff only), but that was good enough for us and very much appreciated. Without that, the hotel would have been unsatisfactory for our requirements (you can't fly on an empty stomach). The not-so-good stuff. It seems the hotel is trying to operate with the minimum staff. Reception is staffed within strict hours only. There is a bell, but the person answering it might not be fully qualified, so for example if you have an early check-out, I would offer that clearing the bill the evening before might be a very good idea. Also, one person would seem be doing multi-tasking: reception, bar, dining room. So again, a bell for the bar service. And if paying cash, they would have to go elsewhere to get the change. And one evening I needed some printing done, but I couldn't e-mail an attachment to reception as the staff member didn't seem qualified to print. Being informed that it could be done next morning wasn't exactly helpful as we were leaving at 07:00, just as reception was being staffed. Overall But actually we quite liked the place, it met our needs and was comfortable. We would happily stay again, but for a first-time visitor, do manage your expectations.

Stayed six nights in Room 108. Large room with lots of light. Bathroom: windows great for natural light, night lighting excellent with down lights, toiletries except Kleenex tissues, shower small but useable—good water flow & fixtures, careful not to wet floor as no barrier. Room: good bedside lighting, two twin beds which are soft but comfortable. Good wi-fi. Desk, chair, sofa. Front desk: friendly, helpful. Restaurant: great breakfast, dinner good. Friendly service. Close to center of town and restaurants. Parking available. We enjoyed our stay.

I booked Louiselund as it was close to a business commitment we had in Haderslev. From the picture I expected a B&B in a street, maybe with limited parking. What I didn’t expect (although I might have discovered this if I’d done more research) was a beautiful stables, complete with a horse breeding centre, a range of working buildings and a beautiful house as the centrepiece. The welcome from Niels was warm & friendly; the rooms comfortable & well-supplied; the bathrooms roomy & spotlessly clean and the breakfast communal, friendly & tasty! This was a business trip, but I’ll be bringing my other half for a break here as soon as I can. You should do too. Perfect for business travellers, couples, families with kids. Just a wonderful place whose price is yet another USP. Tusind Tak!

Nice and clean. Friendly staff. Ok comfortable newly refurbished rooms. Good breakfast. The restaurant has a very good kitchen. Pick the old inn barroom for dining, its an experience in it self. Rødding is a beautiful town with historical relation to the danish folk high school movement.
