Reviewed By Hany RTo enjoy your visit to this resort you should have a car. The resort is uphill and not very well connected. A bus is available but has very peculiar timing intervals that could reach 1 hour to the next bus available. The last bus available is round 6-7pm during week days. The bus can take you to the nearest town Bad Aussee or to its train station. The distance to the station is 6km and will take 10-15 minutes. Taxi will cost round 20 euros from the hotel to the train station. Hallstatt is another 10 minutes by train from Bad Aussee Bahnhof then a short ride by ferry from Hallstatt train station to Hallstatt town. Be ready to have cash money for Hallstatt, the do not accept credit cards. The nearest supermarket to the hotel is 1.5 km. can be reached on foot and by bus (1-2 stops) but you have to be prepared to go uphill carrying your purchases. The hotel can call a taxi for you if you wish to go anywhere. I have lastly to tell you that the hotel is very good and have spectacular views specially from the seeblik restaurant terrace.

Beautiful locatin, on the lake. The rooms are small, but clean. Excellent breakfast and dinner.
Reviewed By Madalina MThe hotel is situated right on the lake. The rooms have beautiful views of the lake and the mountains. The rooms are small but very clean. We stayed in the quadruple room which has a double bed upstairs. The space was a little narrow upstairs and it was quite hot there on the days with high temperatures. The food was excellent. We had breakfast and dinner and it was one of the best home made food we ate at a hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Reviewed By Bryan CThe hotel has a dining room, inner terrace and outer terrace right by the lake. Service is attentive.The menu is adequate but not extensive. We tried the char and a pasta dish.The cuisine was exquisite, not generous. The wine list was pleasing. The soft drinks were more limited... Wishing for a coke there was only Red Bull Coke. For our coke drinker it was a disappointment.( The property is owned by Red Bull) We were there for lunch, not trying out the rooms.

Reviewed By HakkaPABSOLUTLY RECOMMENDED!!! We spent 3 lovely nights in that pension. The room is really nice and clean. Owners are friendly and helpful. They serve you as the most important guest. There is rich and delicious breakfast. You can feel yourself like in a 5 star hotel. Grundlsee and mountins were very calm with picturesque view during our staying (winter time). We can just talk in SUPERLATIVE about that Pension. Great job Mrs. and Mr. Grill-Ladner!

Reviewed By Arijit81This B&B is located in a very nice and calm place, close to Grundlsee. The owner is very nice and polite. Very good hospitality. Nice cosy room with balcony and good view to the surrounding mountain. Grundlesee is 5 mins walk and toplitzsee is 10 mins walk.Owner also allowed his kitchen to be used. So we cooked ourselves and enjoyed the time.At the first glance itself we felt that we are in our home. The breakfast is very good, probably the best we had in our trip in austria. If you want to feel like a home then definitely you can stay here without any hesitation Cons: The shower place is small.
