Reviewed By jarafahnrichIf you want to visit some beautiful places, such as Traunsee, Attersee, Cumberland Wildlife Park, etc., this 3* hotel in Almtal is your perfect choice. The rooms were very good looking and quite spacious, the overall appearance of the hotel was astounding. The staff was very friendly and helpful (if needed). Not to mention the surrounding nature, which was simply perfect, caressing for soul, really. The breakfasts were just an icing on the cake, as there was something for everyone, and I mean EVERYONE. If you choose this hotel for your stay, you certainly won't make a mistake. :)

Although we've been around since 1997, the TreeHouse is still one of the best kept backpacker secrets . Located in a traditional, little village called Gruenau im Almtal, in Upper Austria, you will find beautiful countryside, crystal clear lakes surrounded by majestic mountains and an atmosphere that is sure to make Gruenau one of your most memorable destinations. Gruenau is a town that can be enjoyed anytime of year.In spring/summer/fall, the TreeHouse organizes hiking, mountain biking, horse back riding, swimming and many other ways to enjoy the Austrian countryside. The fairy tale hostel!
Reviewed By giasulaI stayed at the Three House Hostel last June and it was a great experience! I have been in many hostel and i work in a hostel in Vienna too, but this one is really special, situated in the middle of the forest. I went there by bike but you can reach Grünau by train too. I suggest to rent a bike (you can do it at the hostel) and visit the surrounding area. I have been to Almsee, kleiner and große Öddsee but there are much more things to see! My only regret was that i had only 2 days free and i wish i could stay there longer:)! The owner Gehrard is friendly, really welcoming and a fantastic chef! Very spacious and up-to-date
Reviewed By 10ren_nI stayed in this hotel for business. However the hotel is more a tourist hotel. The location is very pittoresk and the building in nice from the outside. The rooms are like a suite with modern furniture and a very good bathroom. Breakfast was good as well.

The hosts are very friendly and give you lots of tips of what to do in the area and hikes for different levels and ages. We had a large comfortable room with balcony and large bathroom with bath, bidet and shower. Breakfast, well, you couldn't wish for more. From fresh fruit, joghurt, muesli, a large selection of cold meats, cheeses, eggs, spreads, home made jam, cakes and strudel. It was all delicious and appetizingly presented. You can also choose on a daily basis half board and I would highly recommend it. The owner and his mum cook and you have a choice from 3 main courses. Everything is made fresh, homemade soup, fresh salad and vegetables and of course delicious deserts. Nothing out of the packet. The garden is lovely, a small pool, sun lounges, table tennis and lots of toys for children. For bad weather, sauna, solarium and fitness room. It's really a lovely place for couples, friends and families.

Best place to stay on the mountain
Reviewed By Dutch_munchyGreat place for any holiday, but for us the skiing holiday is the best. In and out of your skis direct from the hotel. All meals are good, from breakfast to dinner. Service is great and staff is very customer friendly. We can really recommend this place for families with young kids. They will enjoy the "Rutsch" along the stairs. Definitely going back there!

Reviewed By Holger SImmer, wenn wir in der Gegend sind, kommen wir gerne hier her um in gemütlicher Athmosphäre sehr gut zu essen. Diesmal leider nur zum Mittagessen hier gewesen, haben aber auch schon hier übernachtet. Das Essen kam schnell, der Service war freundlich und die Qualität der Speisen hat uns auch diesmal nicht enttäuscht. Sobald sich eine Gelegenheit ergibt, kommen wir gerne wieder.

Reviewed By MikeSalihaDas Frühstück war hervorragend. Freundliches Personal, behilflich mit allem und nie war etwas zuviel gefragt. Schöner Umgebung um zu wandern. Wildpark und Meere sind im kurzen bereich. Breakfast was superb. Friendly staff, very helpfull you could ask them anything. Nice scenery, good for hiking and walking in the summer. Different Lakes are accessible within driving distance 0,5- 1 hour

Reviewed By tatik0Провели две ночи, домик был расположен очень удобно по пути следования и вокруг приятные леса для гуляния. Одна огромная комната на четверых. Небольшой кухонный уголок со всем необходимым. Добродушный хозяин даже предлагал попользоваться тренажерами. Прямо по участку протекает речка, на участке всякая живность. Детям очень понравилось!
