I had to complete a few circular routes off Brooker Highway as I kept bypassing the entrance. We had booked a Riverview Motel Room and certainly enjoyed the location and lovely views of the gardens, river and nearby mountains. All welcoming and efficiency at reception, everything ready for our 2 night stay, great advice on restaurant and other facilities and a very good selection of brochures for attractions, both local and further afield. Parking in front of the Unit, very good facilities although a little dated, another comfortable bed. Checkout easy.

The hotel rooms have recently been renovated and are clean, fresh and functional. The beds are unbelievably comfortable. Despite its location above a bar, there is no noise. The staff are unbelievably accommodating, a special mention to Andrew and Peter for ensuring that we were accommodated for in every way, their service alone will give me enough to recommend this establishment to any visiting party. The hotel is well priced and exceeds all of the reasonable expectations. We will return. Thank you.

Called in for lunch with my mum. A great place as she has a walker and there is plenty of room. Mum likes it has she can have a roast dinner and veggies and we can have a steak or other types of meals. Staff are great and parking is always terrific. Could vary their menu from time to time.

MONA Pavilions. The eight MONA pavilions overlook the Derwent River and feature artwork from the MONA collection. Four are named for architects who have influenced Australia's architectural landscape: Roy (Grounds), Robin (Boyd), Esmond (Dorney) and Walter (Burley Griffin). The original four pavilions: Arthur (Boyd), Brett (Whiteley), Charles (Blackman) and Sidney (Nolan), have been completely refurbished. All have access to the heated infinity lap pool, sauna and gymnasium. Mona - the gallery and all site facilities are closed on Tuesdays. The Pavilions are open with breakfast still served and in room food and beverage option available for house guests.
We stayed in the Robin pavilion. Pros: The beautiful views and the spacious pavilion. Cons: Flies hovering everywhere in the pavilion and limited choices for breakfast. Video art feature was also not working in the pavilion.

A little bit out of the way of shops etc but has a pub right next door for a drink and meal. The room was comfortable and had evrything you need (except towels which they promptly got when asked) Not the flashest place but did the job with friendly staff and easy parking,

Traveler beware!!! The photos as shown is not how it is - (unless you look at the last few). We were booked there for 1 night in November 2021 (3 rooms for over $520) and had to pay in advance!! We thought we’d drive up a few days early to view so we could anticipate our stay. What a disappointment!!!! This is what we saw. Overgrown, unkempt gardens (not the manicured gardens as per the photos), a for sale sign at the gate, a caravan parked at the side of the house, dining room no longer in use (due to Covid we are told) untidy with washing baskets and linen strewn around the room, billiard room unused and with a significant amount of dust. No one in reception which was “tired”. We could have just walked around so security was non-existent. Eventually the owner arrived and showed us 1 room - certainly not worth $200 for 1 night. We tried to get our money back as none of us were comfortable staying there. The owner became very hostile on the phone when we called to say we didn’t want to stay because of what we had seen at the house and the fact that the photos were a misrepresentation of the reality (see other Google reviews and his response to some reviews there - certainly doesn’t like criticism). Sadly no money refunded (and we didn’t stay) and his attitude and tirade was terrible. Again - traveler beware!!

Hobart cabins & cottages is situated on three acres of park like settings, just seven ( 7 ) minutes from Hobarts CBD and the popular Salamanca market and constitution dock , just a few minutes walk from the entertainment centre and show grounds and five ( 5 )from the ever popular mona museum
Upon arrival there was car bodies, boats, bits and pieces all around the house we booked. The front door area smelt of cats and the park was very run down. Couch desperately needed replacing as the base of it had gone. It did the job for us but wouldn’t recommend for families as somewhere to stay

We stayed for 4 nights at the tail end of a two week tour of Tasmania - we're a family of 5. The house was spacious with 4 double bedrooms (2 with queen beds, 2 with twin beds), a cavernous lounge with large corner sofa, a separate dining room with small sun room attached, a good sized kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Washing machine and tumble dryer was included which, when travelling with kids, can be a god send. There is a small decked area with BBQ and a garden as well as off road parking. The house has lots of lovely original features having been built in the 1930's but has been updated for modern living. We found it very comfortable, well equipped and nicely presented. The location has its positives and negatives. Being right in the middle of Moonah it is walking distance to shops and restaurants, a 10 minute drive to the CBD/harbour. The downside is that it is in an industrial area, on the corner of a fairly busy road junction, with what seemed to be a 24 hour car wash complex opposite. There was a fair amount of ambient vehicle noise therefore which, at times, could be intrusive, more so in the rooms at the front of the property. It didn't disturb our overall enjoyment of the property though and we'd stay again next time we were in Hobart.

Bathroom needs total makeover, shower over bath, very unsafe, not disabled freindly. notice in kitchen to take rubbish bag out to bin outside before leaving.....very over priced. needs to be brought up to 2021 not 1960 standards not recommend at all.
