While Atlanta is the anchor and capital of Georgia, you can aim in any direction to find distinctly different regions – from the tail of the Appalachians in the North to the rolling Piedmont hills and on down to the seaside marshes in the East. Atlanta lays claim to the state’s number one attraction – Stone Mountain State Park. They say it best - “Serious fun. Endless adventure.” Just 15 minutes from downtown, the world’s largest exposed granite dome is surrounded by 3,200 acres of natural beauty and stimulating activities for every member of the family – sky rides and hiking paths, laser shows and pedal boats along Stone Mountain Lake. Golfers tee it up, while red foxes dash across the fairways in a state where the Masters Golf Tournament creates revered green-jacket memories every year. It’s a long downhill ride down to historic Savannah, a ‘stone’s throw’ from the Atlantic and a virtual step back in time to Southern architecture and stately squares. St. Simon’s and Jekyll Islands offer barrier island beauty and a wonderful combination of outdoor activities, historic sites and artistic culture. Originally the private winter playground of wealthy northeasterners, Jekyll Island stretches along 10 miles of coastal beaches and inland marshes. Cycling and walking paths wind under moss-laden oaks, and a tour of Millionaire Village takes you back to those Cornelius Vanderbilt and J.P. Morgan days. The kid-friendly Summer Waves Water Park adds man-made fun to natural water sport activities. Coastal golf courses and sophisticated St. Simon’s Island appeal to moms, dads and vacationing couples.

Built of cobble and ballast stones in 1817, as a cotton warehouse, our converted, historic hotel overlooks the Savannah River, right on world famous River Street. Many rooms are decorated with period furnishings, four poster beds, oriental rugs, hardwood floors and exposed brick walls, maintaining its historic charm. Located just blocks from downtown Broughton Street shopping district & City Market, cars aren't needed, as all is within walking distance; Valet Parking is available. With four restaurants on property (guest are offered a discount) located within the building are many shops, guests don't have to venture far! Sight seeing trolleys pick up / drop off in front of our hotel and the Savannah River boat is docked across from our property.
My wife and I made an impromptu stop in Savannah on our way back from Florida. We stopped at the River Street Inn to book a room and watch the sunset. Nicole made our stop exponentially more memorable. She was personable, professional and kind. Her thoughtfulness made our experience 10x better. Thank you Nicole and River street inn for making our Savannah stay so magnificent.

The Marshall House, voted Best Hotel and Best Downtown Hotel in Savannah 2021, is one of the most unique hotels in Savannah. The hotel's 68 guest rooms offer an authentic historic Savannah experience including fun balcony rooms, authentic historic features, complimentary wine and more.
Aside from the slight inconvenience of the street under construction, this location was perfect. We could walk to all the historic district sites and restaurants and enjoyed the ability to go back to the hotel to freshen up and enjoy the wine social hour before dinner. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful!

We weren’t sure what to expect because it looks just okay from across the river in downtown Savannah but when it walked in the door it was as gorgeous as any Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons we had stayed at. The staff was incredible… especially Maurice (Mo) the Bellman and valet! He was a standout! We were celebrating our anniversary and we were upgraded to a gorgeous room overlooking the river with a balcony. We came in one evening to find gourmet chocolate, Wine, a handwritten letter, two delicious cheesecakes, AND two gifts! Does it get any better? The pool was incredible. Great music, relaxing with plenty of chairs, umbrellas and cabanas. We actually stayed in downtown Savannah for a few nights before we arrived here and here just felt totally different like we were at a beach resort to relax and unwind. There is a free ferry every 30 minutes to take you to River street with all the restaurants, shops, and bars you could want. They are improving the golf course and it will be ready soon. It looks absolutely gorgeous and we can’t wait to try it! We loved our stay here and we can’t wait to return!

Retreat to Mansion on Forsyth Park, a breathtaking hotel in Savannah, Georgia's historic district. Soaring above its namesake park in the heart of the historic district, our hotel offers boutique accommodations in a lovingly restored Victorian-Romanesque building.
Our trip started in Savannah Georgia and due to mishaps at the airport, we didn't check in until 2 a.m. No problem for the Staff at the Mansion! The smooth check in and valet were just the beginning of a wonderful stay. The art, the food, the staff, the location are all welcoming and top quality. Afterward we decided it was like being part of a private club - my husband is now "homesick for the Mansion".

The hotel rooms are nice, but I do not recommend this hotel. Valet parking is the only option (no self parking) and my car was damaged by a valet driver. I drove directly from the hotel to my home about 45 minutes away, where I noticed a literal hole in by bumper. I immediately called the hotel and got the runaround from hotel and parking staff. I suggested they verify the damage by checking the security cameras, only to be told that they don't have cameras at the car drop off or in the parking area. Now, this hotel claims that they offer a secure, safe lot, so I'm confused--no cameras? Not even where guests are dropping off their cars and offloading their luggage? All I hear about is how crime has ramped up in Atlanta, so if you are looking for a hotel with safety features, perhaps look elsewhere. Long story short--my new car was damaged, no one will be accountable for it, and the hotel is lacking in security features.
