Hotel Victoria offers two spacious and beautiful houses with character, 112 and 122 which are linked by a charming private park. In this exceptional surrounding you will find 34 comfortable and personalised bedrooms tastefully decorated and combining the charm of the past with necessary modernity. Hotel Victoria is ideally situated, 5 minutes walk from the city centre and the castle but also close to INSEAD and the forest.
We know Fontainebleau fairly well and have visited the town several times, this is the third hotel we’ve used and without question the best, quiet with a very large garden, good parking at 8 euros a night and superb for the dog. They gave us a ground floor room with French window opening directly into the garden which made the stay really easy. The hotel was very clean as were the private and public rooms, easy 10 minute walk into the town centre or to the chateau or indeed to the forest. Will certainly go back and happy to highly recommend the Victoria

If you're going to visit Fontainbleau, there is no better spot to stay. You are litterally across the street from the entrance. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and loved the location. Friendly service, close to all restaurants. No parking at the hotel but they work with the city parking and validate your ticket from across the street.

Located 75 km from Paris, the Mercure Royal Fontainebleau offers the charm and refinement of an exclusive hotel, ideal for business and leisure travellers alike. 99 fully equipped rooms with bathroom, satellite TV, direct dial telephone and PC connection. The hotel also offers WiFi internet access. The restaurant is open every day.
Unfortunately a less than satisfactory five-day stay at this hotel during an INSEAD course. The close proximity of the INSEAD campus probably explains that the hotel is still in business as the majority of guests are staying because of this reason. The guest rooms are small, the bathroom and separate toilet are tiny and the bed could use a new mattress. The television features only French TV stations which is frustrating since the majority of INSEAD students are not French. The restaurant is truly poor; the breakfast is never set-up complete and every morning we had to ask for something which was forgotten on the buffet - cutter, butter or milk or even croissants. The service team is made up by young kids who probably work part-time and could use some training. The a la carte menu for lunch and dinner is limited and the food very mediocre. The probably best thing about the hotel is the free parking. Other than that there are unfortunately no other plus points. I would not stay here again.

We actually stayed Oct 2018 but couldn’t put in that date. The hotel is part of the Logis de France association which is made up with individual owner/operators. I recommend booking via their web site or direct with hotel. We booked in for a couple of nights en Reuter’s back to Paris. Arrived lunchtime Sunday and walked straight into a restaurant full of happy locals. Madam booked us a table and we dumped our bags in the room and headed back down for a wonderful lunch. Good food, wine and friendly staff. The rooms are fine and reasonably priced. Comfortable with everything you need. There are internal stairs which would be an issue for anyone with a mobility issue. A couple of nights is all you need to visit the Chateau which was well worth the visit. There is an open air large car park 100 meters up the side street the hotel is in. It was reasonably priced and easy to pay and exit. I would recommend this hotel and suggest you pre book for the restaurant.

Well designed rooms, excellent cuisine, beautiful location, ... Enjoying very much the natural 'ambiente' of the surroundings and short distance to the main attraction, the amazing 'Château de Fontainebleau'.

The Château de Bourron offers luxury weekend breaks. This luxury bed and breakfast is opened all year round in this elegant, family-owned castle. Within close vicinity of Paris and 7 kilometers from Fontainebleau, this magnificent and elegant private property was built in the early XVIIth century on the location of a feudal fortress. It is a true architectural example of traditional brick and stone style, and flanked by two small pavilions. Nestled in a private 40 hectare estate, it is surrounded by spring-fed moats. Experience the magic of a stay in this charming French historically classified monument.
Beautiful castle and surrounding grounds. We stayed in a room in the annex which has nice modern rooms, that are quite spacious. Very quiet, perfect for a great night sleep. You can borrow a bike or go for a run on the grounds. Great breakfast buffet served in the chateau. Good service. Close to the village.

Nice hotel, in good location, clean and tidy. Bed comfortable, bathroom without brush for WC, nice breakfast, dinner menu not too attractive. Anyway, during covid period it could be useful to have a fridge in the room.
