Worse Than Sleeping on a Board
Reviewed By Donna SI stayed here 3 nights in Feb. 2019, on the same tour as another reviewer here. I also stayed on the 3rd floor. There is no mattress provided--the bed consists of two box springs, one on top of the other. Harder than sleeping on a board! I did not know that a mattress pad was available--it would have been nice if someone from Tropical Birding told us that! As it was, my arthritis was inflamed so much by the bed that I was in extreme pain every night. The staff speaks very little English. When I told them that the Internet on the 3rd floor was not working, they either didn't believe me or didn't understand me, probably a bit of both. Finally, someone interpreted for me. When the Internet is working, it is not very good, especially if other people on the floor are using it. It's too bad that this is currently the "best" hotel in Fang.

Reviewed By Odyssey158713Phumanee Home Hotel is not a 4/5 star hotel, but it offers an amazing experience. We stayed for two nights and this was the highlight of our 14 day trip to Thailand. We were taken on a bike rider around the temples of Fang and treated to a selection of local dishes for dinner. On the second day we were given a background to the families Lahu village history and then we were taken to the village where we were involved in the preparation of lunch and shown basket weaving. We then picked tea for salad back at the hotel. We also visited the waterfall and the hot springs on the way home. Again in the evening we were treated to a fabulous evening meal. The whole experience was amazing and really interesting as although the village receives visitors its main income is still from the production of tea and coffee so it is largely unspoilt. We will be recommending the hotel to everyone we know.

Pampering in top-class
Reviewed By StigSorAt our motobike trip we had a stopover at Gumbie’s. The first we noticed was the garden that was absolutely beautiful with flowers and nice trees sorrounding the buildings. After check-in the owner pair came to us and told about the stay and the possibilities. We borrowed bikes and visited the nearby nationalpark with hot springs up to 20 meters. The dinner was served in the absolute tastefull decorated restaurant with fresh flowers and romantic atmosphere. The dinner and breakfast was exellent and we felt generally pampered through our stay. The place is totally quiet at night, whics is quite rare in Thailand

Garden Oasis
Reviewed By Ariel TLocation There are a lot of lodging options in Fang, but not many have English reviews. We are lucky to have found this little gem tucked away in the residential area; but walkable distance to Fang Sunday Market, food and convenience shops. Tesco, a very large supermarket and shopping complex is only about 5mins drive away. Resort Small resort with 5 individual chalets and 1 main building where there is a dining area and the owner's quarters. It is very well planted and beautifully landscaped. Luggage friendly as everything is on ground level. There are residential puppies to welcome you back home too. Carpark might be a problem during peak holiday season as there are only 4 lots within the compound. Consider reversing into the compound to leave easier. Owners can understand English quite well, and google translate (if needed) can help with the rest. Room Simple room with an ample sized fridge, non-Flat screen TV and sitting area. The TV selection and reception is not fantastic, so bring your own entertainment. Personally I love the floor as it is tiled. It keeps things tidy and clean as we go trekking in the forest and may bring in soil and mud. Water supply looks faintly cloudy but we had no problems bathing and brushing our teeth with it. They replenish bottled drinking water daily. Will return to stay again.

Noise
Reviewed By Richard HStayed here for 5 nights. The entire place, including the beds, is made of concrete. Very modern. The downside to this is that there is zero sound insulation. It is next to a main road. Every passing vehicle clearly heard. And there are bright lights outside the room - & inadequate curtains - so the light shines straight in. The combination of the two makes for dismal sleeping. I attempted to switch off the lights - but they were almost immediately turned on again. In the 5 nights stay not once was the room serviced in any way- noone entered the room to change bedding, towels, clean, add new toilet rolls, toiletries, water, etc. The are almost no facilities- no breakfast, no bar, no restaurant, no anything except a fridge with cold drinks in reception. Not even a bedside lamp. Stay elsewhere.

Reviewed By SIMON19742013Over all are good especially rice fields near by our room. I love the room look like English Cottage House. Room amenities was good. A lot of Car parking lot. But uncomfortable for food and drinks on room service as well. We are come to stay and relax don’t want to going out to find food on our period staying here.

A comfortable boutique hotel in a small town
Reviewed By HPLIMThe hotel is a four story shop house situated at the road side. There is no lift in the hotel. So it will be a bit troublesome for the elderly hotel guests. There is a hypermarket next to the hotel. There is no amenity in this hotel. Besides, I can’t find any recommendable eatery near to the hotel. There is no convenient store around the hotel either. The reception is simple and the lobby also serves as the cafeteria for breakfast. Nevertheless, the room and washroom are big, spacious and clean. They provide hair dryer, fridge and free wifi. Breakfast is simple, just porridge and bread, tea or coffee. It is an ideal stop-over between Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. There is not much to do at this town.

Very Convenient Location

My Thai friend recommended Kasarin Court as base for me to rent motorcycle to ride to Doi Ang Khang and Fang Hot Springs and Wat Tha Ton in Mae Ai district. Room was clean and air-con was strong. Shower water pressure was strong and T.V. usually shows local programmes. Many birds chirping every morning as near to plantation. Free parking with night security within Kasarin Court compound. I ate Tim Sum breakfast near wet market and ate roast duck rice dinner on main road beside hospital. I bought drinks and snacks @ Tesco Lotus front of Kasarin Court. I took shared mini bus back to Chiang Mai from bus station opposite Tesco Lotus. I will definitely stay here again in near future.

Ontbijt was voortreffelijk en onze kinderen hebben leuk gespeeld met dochtertje van de eigenaren. Eigenaren spreken Engels. Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding voortreffelijk. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.
