Reviewed By I5389JSjuanlThe air conditioners in the rooms did not work properly. All inclusive isn't as advertised. If you wanted name brand products you were asked to pay extra. A large percentage of the activities were closed. If you wanted to be transported within the compounds you'd have to wait at least 15 minutes for a ride. You're given a certain time frame to get the food that's offered. If you wait till the last minute you basically eat whatever is left & can't ask for anything else. They have people there trying to scam or force you into some membership for traveling. I didn't allow them to do that. I wouldn't go there again. They don't understand the concept of all inclusive & the website pictures are misleading.

Not safe bathrooms

The staff were great and the room was very nice but I have to report that the bathroom is an accident waiting to happen. The floor of the bathroom is extremely slippery when wet, there are no grab handles . This bathroom is for an elderly person or someone with a disability very dangerous. Access to the hotel is also very bad for people with disabilities and older people. I did enjoy my stay. Very poor wyfy

Great Location but Extremely Noisy and Poor Service.
Reviewed By albernioLocation is great but it's located in an extremely noisy and busy intersection of downtown Machala. Noise insulation between rooms is nonexistent. Absolutely everything can be heard from the rooms beside yours. Rooms get cleaned but the floors rarely get mopped or vacuumed. Reception staff, with very few exceptions, seem more interested in texting and checking their mobile phones than taking care of the clients. Door guys are great. Occasionally they organize extremely noisy social events until 0400 AM that can clearly be heard all over the building. Bring your own insect repellent as for some reason the rooms are full of mosquitoes. Breakfast is basic and their breads and pastries suck.

Reviewed By yvonne2710Do not stay at M07. Small, very loud because of 4 aircon splits outside. Minuscule window like in a bathroom. Breakfast ok on the first day, almost empty on the second and no wilingness to add anything.

Breakfast was pretty poor considering the price, the hotel itself is old but they make a good effort maintaining the accommodation making it look like a classic place. I didn’t like the decoration however it is secondary. What i didn’t like was the air conditioner, it was pretty noisy and old. I think they can improve some things.

Reviewed By Beth PHostal Gualingo is a few minutes’ drive from Santa Rosa in Puerto Jelí, where local fisherman offer tours of the mangroves. The hostel is attractive, clean and comfortable. The Ecuadorian couple who own it, Magaly and Edison, are simply wonderful hosts!! They go to incredible lengths to make sure that their guests are happy. They also make the most delicious artisanal ice cream! Most visitors just spend a night here on their way to/from Peru, but the region is full of hidden treasures!! Hostal Gualingo makes the perfect base from which to explore. Magaly and Edison are keen for visitors to experience the joys of their province and will happily help you to organise your itinerary. They offered to drive me to the Puyango petrified forest for a very reasonable rate and we had a marvellous day out together. They also took me to the Happy Fruit farm, which I loved!!
