Highland Spirit is a charming, historical building built in 1830 with many original features. It is the number one rated place to stay in Moray, Speyside and Dufftown and 4-star GOLD Visit Scotland accredited. It has been refurbished to a very high standard with superb beds and showers. All rooms are superking. The two front rooms - the Exciseman and the Architect - have excellent eastwards views down Glenfiddich. The rear part was a Bank. The Bank Manager Room looks back over the rooftops to the iconic Clock Tower. Glenfiddich and Balvenie Distillery Tours are within village walking distance. Many other distilleries, such as Macallan, Glenlivet, Carhu are close. Non-Whisky attractions include Knockando Woolen Mill, Johnstons of Elgin, Ballindalloch Castle, the Speyside Cooperage and Balvenie Castle. Dufftown has its own Golf Course. Highland Spirit is perfectly placed only 2 minutes walk from the village centre yet its long driveway and large gardens give it a very peaceful and calm ambience.
If you want to explore this whisky paradise, this is the place to book! Located in Dufftown, you are ideally placed for short drives to any distillery you'd like to visit. Karen and Alistair are amazing hosts, looking after every detail to make your stay as perfect as possible. The rooms have a lot of space, super clean, with a very nice view on the valley, and the garden. A special mention to the bed large and comfy ! The shower works well and is easy to use. Karen knows really how to treat you for breakfast, everything is fresh, as local as possible, home made (the granola !!). Besides , both of them are extremely knowledgeable about their region and Scotland in general. They were great advisors in helping us choose what we could do and make it happen. Alistair made possible our dinner at the Seven Stills restaurant in Dufftown, which was great. And they do all this in a very friendly and non intrusive manner. We definitely recommend it .

Dunvegan Bed and Breakfast is a large stone built 19th-century house located close to the centre of Dufftown - The Malt Whisky Capital of the World. Dufftown nestles in a valley dominated by Ben Rinnes (840m/2755ft) and has the highest concentration of distilleries anywhere in Scotland. An old saying was "Rome was built on seven hills but Dufftown’s built on seven stills;" this no longer applies as there are now nine. Apart from distilleries Dufftown has something for everyone - golf, fishing, walking, wildlife, history, skiing and much more. We can offer 2 x double, en-suite rooms and a twin room with private facilities. We also offer our guests free WiFi internet connection. There is also a Residents lounge where you can sit and watch television, read the literature about Dufftown and its surrounding area or enjoy a conversation with fellow travellers.
Classy little B&B. Room was quite nice. A sample of scotch provided in the room. Owner/hostess Theresa was amazingly charming, funny, professional and fast at taking care of everything. Theresa is a passionate gardener who grows so many fresh ingredients for her cooking. Breakfast was outstanding and she has homemade jams that are delicious.

Lovely, comfortable, clean cottage In a wonderful, peaceful location just outside Dufftown. Great views from the garden overlooking the surrounding countryside. The friendly helpful owners live in the house next door, on hand for any help or enquiries but not intrusive at all. Some great local walks and of course several distilleries to visit in the nearby area. Didn’t want to leave this tranquil place and can’t wait to return.

We can't thank Linda enough for her hospitality. She was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond to help us. The bedroom was super clean, quiet, beautiful and with a charming view. Did we mention the ultra comfortable bed? We're giving it at least a 10 star rating. Waking up to the snow outside our window was our favourite part each morning. We want to praise Linda, also, for the delightful and delicious breakfast that she serves in the dining hall. Perfectly laid out with a menu of items to choose, that met our vegetarian needs. Fresh fruits, a variety of drinks, coffee, tea, eggs - you name it. We came with a group who were staying in a larger busier hotel near by, and we were so much happier with our own cozy choice, to come home each day to our quiet countryside experience in this bnb. Thank you Linda for being so attentive to every detail. Conval House was such a big part of our Scotland experience and we're sure to be back :)
