I think it's a generous 2 (poor score); we were at a conference with my company for some days and we had quite some lows and some rare high. The meeting venues we got were good and spacious, however, one of the room had a beamer with an old lamp, which gave quite a bit yellow spot on the projector; from the back of the room, it was not really possible to distinguish the text. Coffee machine offered very low quality coffee and the milk was not available more often than not. The food served for lunch was poor and also in very limited quantities; no management what so ever also there. Once we got "frikandel broodjes" which were stone cold on the verge to be still frozen; rather disgusting. I did not find the camera that horrible, but I did not have soap in the shower (I had mine, so ok, but...) and no light in the room, besides the bed side lamps, which I think it's sort of crazy. We had a BBQ organised for us, but I heard my colleagues complaining, during a previous conference, served for dinner the same scarce food served at the buffet for lunch

In 2006 the 1.5 hectares of Dordrecht's former drinking water companysite has been transformed into a large kitchen garden, an italiangarden, an orchard and a flower garden. In the middle of the kitchengarden you will find two monumental buildings. The former pumpingstation (from 1942) which has been reconstructed and now accommodatesa restaurant seating 200 people and a market. The restaurant is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch anddinner in which predominantly organic products are used; right fromthe garden onto your plate! The menu follows the seasons. In Villa Augustus's own bakery sourdough bread, cakes and biscuits arefreshly made and an afternoon tea is being served daily. The water tower (from 1862) now is a hotel totaling 37 rooms; some ofwhich have a magnificent view and some which are situated in thegarden. All rooms have wonderful beds and the informal atmospheremakes you feel completely at home; as if you are staying with friends!
Villa Augustus is not the average city hotel but a great restored water tower and surrounding buildings in the middle of a magnificent garden and at the river side. The staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are large enough and clean. Decorations are largely from recycled objects. Breakfast is very good, with fresh products which are also for sale in the little shop next to the restaurant. The home made bread is very tasteful.

We had a wonderful stay in this small hotel with character! Very friendly owners, very nice large rooms, a great breakfast served at your table and beautiful surrounding with lots of bike routes in the neighborhood. There is a lift available. The dinner in the restaurant was very good. We stayed for 3 nights and we had a great time in this hotel.

140 euros for "superior" double room with extra large bed. Actually they were 2 single beds put together, very dated, I still have bruises on my leg from the wooden edge. So i went to the reception to ask for what i have booked, a superior double room, with extra large bed and balcony. Also, no balcony, like it was advertised. The receptionist was very rude, insisting that i have an extra large matrimonial bed and if I have wanted a balcony, I should have ask for it ahead. I asked why should I have asked ahead, if it was advertised that the room has balcony. Very dark room, I've turn on all the lights I could find in the room and it still felt like I was in a cave. Spider cobs almost in every corner.Thin walls, you can hear from the other rooms, very noisy street in front, traffic till late in the night. I could hear the trafic from the bathroom. I am a frequent traveller and I never give negative reviews, unless I am really upset and disappointed of the accommodation, of the way I was treated, all together do not book this hotel, so overpriced for the room and facilities. Also, 3 level hotel and no elevator. Really! I opened the window and it got stucked. It took me ages to finally close it I stayed in room 16. Do not take this room. I'll continue this review tomorrow morning after I will have the breakfast included in the room's price. Update: breakfast was yoghurts, cereals and a few hard croissants The receptionist from today when I checked out was as rude as his colleague from yesterday. He actually had the nerve to tell me that he is not using internet, when my booking was done online. Outrageous

we booked a room for us 2 (for 2 nights) on tripadvisor. We had to pay 150 € therefor. When arriving, it seemed that our booking wasn't received. After finding it back, the owner was surprised that we should stay 2 nights. It seemed to be a problem for the second night. The owner shown a second room that was free for the 2 next nights. This room was in a part of the house that was still in construction. Despite that, the toilet and shower were directly in the room, there was a double bed in place of 2 single beds, ... The owner asked us to cancel our booking on tripadvisor before getting another room that the one we booked (the aim was, of course, for him to save tripadvisor's commission). Only when everything was done, and despite he saved tripadvisor's commission, the owner mentioned that the price of the second room was more expensive ... :-( (180 € for the 2 nights, including breakfast). The breakfast was planned at 9. The next day, at 9.30, after waiting alone in the kitchen for 1/2 hour, we tryied to call the owner on WhatsApp, without any success. We finally went to the town to have a breakfast :-( When waiting in the kitchen, we saw the price of one breakfast was written: 12 €. The price for our 2 breakfast during 2 days was so 48 €, which is very high. On this day, because we were "not very happy with the first breakfast of the B&B" and because of its very high price, we also cancelled the breakfast of the second day. When leaving, the owner asked ... 170 € !! 10 € less than the 2 nights with breakfast ... :-( Dodrecht is a very beautiful town where we had lot of fun. It was a very nice trip, except for the B&B where we will never go back. Sebastiaan, managing a B&B alone seemed to be very difficult for you. The other good feedback you received previously let us hope it is only bad days for you now. Concerning our stay in you B&B, We are sorry to only keep as memory no sense of professionalism, and no honesty. Some other things you also could improve: - when a room is not ready, ask for 5 extra minutes, don't ask your customer to make the bed . - placing something to hook the clothes in the "zolder kamer" should also be a good improvement. (those things should have stood funny, if we hadn't so bad experience later ...) I place a 2/5 feedback, only for the good location of your B&B in the town. Olivier and Virginie

Water and nature, sports and city trips. Stayokay Dordrecht has a fantastic location on the edge of the national park 'De Hollandse Biesbosch'. The Scandinavian wood used in the building's construction gives it a warm atmosphere and the hostel's bar and lounge are cheerful meeting points for the guests. The rooms are located further back in the building and are all equipped with their own bathroom facilities. A large terrace can be found to the rear of the hostel.
We tried to order some drink at the stayokay. The millenials behind the bar clearly aren't up for the task. The manager however stayed behind the computer and did not try to solve the millenials incompetent innocence. Eventually it took them half an hour to make 2 coffees and a lemonade

Five minutes from Merwekade waterbus stop (with direct connections to Rotterdam or Kinderdijk Windmills) you will find these super nice apartments. The hosts are the nicest people you will meet in Holland. They are very helpful if you need anything and they live in the same house. If you travel with children dont worry. They are family friendly. We got a whole box of Duplos for the kids to play with which was a blessing. We had the top floor apartment with wonderfull views of the passing ships which was enough enter for the kids. No TV needed. If you need TV however you will find a huge one with chromecast installed. The apartment is well lived in, but everything works and everything is spotlessly clean. I loved the rainforrest shower. The location is perfect. Maximum 5mins to the historic center with restaurants, bars, and shopping opportunities. I would stay there again anytime. Dordrecht in general is beautiful and relaxing especially if you have been to Rotterdam or Amsterdam before.
