My boyfriend and I stayed in one of their cottages/cabanas for 2 nights. The land is beautiful and the view on the lake made the stay even nicer. The family that runs this is very warm and welcoming. They made the most amazing smoothies for us, breakfast and dinner. The cottage itself provides some privacy. So you can sit there, relax in a hammock, and enjoy your stay. Also it was not a very far drive to the national park in Yala. Compared to the places in Yala this had a better price and quality.

Fantastic place to stay and do a safari in Yala National Park. We were made to feel very welcome here by the owner. He arranged a safari trip for us which was a great experience. Set back off the main road so very quiet. Food, beer and water supplied at accomodation all at a fair rate. Great curry made by the owners wife. Large room, bed has a mosquito net and private bathroom with hot shower. Has everything you need, great value place to stay.

We offer you comfortable rooms with AC / non AC, hot water and Eastern / Western / Sri Lankan foods.
The name of this place shouldn’t be Hotel. It’s placed in a very solitary and dark road, only few very, very dirty rooms and full of different animals (thousands of mosquitos, small spiders everywhere, many frogs…unbelievable!!! Bed sheets very very dirty and filth on the walls, roof..etc the shower didn’t work and neither the hot water. Worst experience ever in a place for sleeping, I couldn’t sleep in all night.. I had 2 nights but obviously next day I changed my place.

Excellent and clean bedroom, Clean attach Bathroom, perfect meals and friendly peoples. We stayed here one night and it was the perfect stop in Debarawewa . The rooms are very clean. Hotel crew is so welcoming and treated us like family, including serving meals family style - the food was very good (had both dinner and breakfast here). And spend happy pool time.

Cormorant Lake Resort was a recommendation to me and we were looked after very well indeed. Tharindu arranged our accommodation that was very clean, comfortable, homely. Also arranged our safari in Yala National Park the following morning. After safari we ate at the resort and freshened up before Tharindu arranged our onward transport to Ella. Nothing was too much trouble and all our requests/needs were accommodated with kindness and a smile. Thanks you for your hospitality, I can definitely recommend.

A lovely family runs this Guesthouse, very very friendly and generous people. We stayed at this place for three nights, to visit the Yala National Park. The owner speaks English fairly well, and we could ask her about everything we needed. She booked a Safari tour for us with a very good guide and driver for a very fair price, offered to wash our clothes and gave us some drinks and snacks every now and then. She also makes the breakfast and dinner, which are both not only very delicious, but also very generous in amount and variety. She also made us a delicious bag of food to take with us for our day at the National Park. It is possible to use the bikes of the accommodation to visit the nearby lakes and town. There's a little supermarket and other small shops very close. Yet the Guesthouse is a very peaceful and quiet place, perfect for relaxing after a long day. There are plenty possibilities to sit outside in their beautiful garden, including a hammock. Our spacious room contained both an AC and a ventilator. The warm water in the shower might take a while, but it definetly there. Everything was kept very clean. The owner have three dogs, German Shepards. All of them were very friendly and seem to be very trained. The place has unusually good WiFi. Also they have multinational power plugs, there is no adapter needed. It was a very pleasant stay.

We had a great night here last month when we stayed 1 night for a safari tour. Our host did everything in his power to ensure we had a comfortable stay. If you're under a short timeframe Id recommend both his accommodation and restaurant. Conveniently close together, both were great money for value and Arunajith (I think that was his name) helped us coordinate the tour and navigating the local buses. And his wife's food was delicious!
