Smelly room, noisy from the road outside. It’s a budget hotel, but the room had an appalling odour, which rained out clothing. Most Travelodge are fine, this one is below par. Bed, bathroom both fine, but who wants a smelly room.

The staff were particularly unhelpful. The bar had very limited stock, the a/c in our room was faulty and didn’t work the whole time making the room boiling hot and impossible to sleep. The hotel charged my card twice and still after 5 days I haven’t received the money. The staff were also meant to be giving me a discount code for the parking but forgot to do so meaning I paid more for the parking too. Over all terrible experience.

I have stayed here many time over the years as my head office is next door. It's also currently much cheaper than the Hilton across the road. However, since it changed from Hallmark to a Best Western, it has gone downhill quicker than Franz Klammer! My first gripe is that check in takes forever! Why do I have to fill a form in with my details - surely they're on the booking! My last stay was in a room with no air conditioning, and no fan, on a very warm night. I couldn't open my window either because there was a group of noisy people outside (not blaming them btw). So, I phoned down asking to be moved. The lady on reception said that should be fine and would call me back. After some considerable time, and a couple of unanswered calls by me, I went down to reception only to be told there were no rooms available. Why didn't she call me back and tell me!? Also, while I was talking to her a man just interrupted me to say he was going next door to have dinner! Turns out it was the manager! How rude for the manager of a hotel to interrupt his guest - talk about customer service! I was offered a free drink as some recompense, which I thought was a bit of an insult, so managed to get a free meal as well. I wish I hadn't bothered. My steak was appalling! A large piece of gristle with a little bit of meat attached. The service in this hotel has been dreadful on the last 2-3 stays, with one staff member behind the bar serving customers, usually with a large queue of people waiting, taking room service (I came down and got mine last time it was taking so long), waiting tables, and taking room service orders. woefully understaffed. Finally, a colleague met me for coffee in the bar on the morning of Thursday 26th May and ended up with a parking ticket for £60! Why couldn't someone ask if anyone has that car? I now use the Coulsdon Manor Hotel. Much better value, better rooms, good food, and proper customer service! It's a shame as this hotel is so convenient for my office, but I can't bring myself to stay here anymore unless things significantly improve.

Just a 15 minute train journey to Central London, Premier Inn London Croydon Town Centre hotel is within walking distance of East Croydon train station with Whitgift shopping centre nearby. Our London Croydon Town Centre hotel has everything you'd expect, a super-comfy kingsize Hypnos bed, an on-site Thyme restaurant and free Wi-Fi throughout your stay.
The poor staff at breakfast were run off their feet trying to cover reception, check people in for breakfast, clear tables and replenish crockery/consumables etc. The 2 staff on duty were friendly and helpful but so many people were complaining without understanding that it was outside the staff’s control and they were trying their best. How can a big concern like Premier Inn think it’s acceptable to put staff under so much pressure and maintain standards? It’s not like the staff weren’t trying, it’s just impossible to be in so many places at one time. I understand 1 person had called in sick but even 3 staff for such a busy service is pushing it when they have to check people in and out as well as cover the restaurant. Overall my stay was fine but I felt really sorry for the beleaguered staff who were lovely.

A bad nights sleep, from creaky floorboards and foot traffic in the room above us from 6 am to 8 am. Sadly kept us awake for 2 hours until I had to get dressed and go down to Reception to complain about the noise.

You're only minutes from the town centre, but Premier Inn London Croydon South will feel a million miles away in this quiet, pretty spot. Set back from the main road in a former country house, it's the perfect base for exploring London. Revel in the royal atmosphere of Addington Palace - home to six Archbishops and where Henry VIII courted Anne Boleyn. Take your pick of Surrey's best meeting venues. Or escape to the fairways of the golf courses. Then look forward to dropping off like a king or queen in your spacious room and extra-comfy bed.
We've used this hotel in the past and it was great however on this occasion it fell short for a number of reasons. Initially one of two USB charging points didn't work which I reported to reception as I did not want to be blamed for it. Bedding was definitely used and a lumpy with only one pillow each and no extras in the room like there used to be. Bath towels had a funky smell like they hadn't been dried properly. Room was 21c on a fairly hot day with no fans available, with 3 in a room this became uncomfortable going into the evening. Evening meal was had nextdoor in the Beefeater which initially was very good but when the chef burnt the salmon he was rather peeved it was sent back making us wait another twenty five minutes for our main course again. The ultimate WiFi didn't work in our room which was reported to reception. The lady put me on the phone to their IT support which told me they'd look into it and call back shortly - that never happened. The following morning I requested a refund from reception but that too never happened. We'd only traveled down for a family wedding and needed a relaxed good night's sleep which to be fair we didn't get. The wife was awake at 430am, sat in the car with aircon on to cool down because the room was to hot. In all it wasn't what we expected but as proven before when you complain you do not get a refund as they promise and you don't always get what you pay for either. But once parted with your hard earned, you're not going to see it again no matter what. I use Premier Inn for business and leisure up and down the UK but after the last few I will be trying a different chain to see how it compares even if it means a few miles to drive.

For what it is and what you pay, it's not bad....BUT. The carpet in the room was disgusting. It felt clammy and dirty under foot so we kept our shoes on as much as we could (awkward when getting up for a pee in the middle of the night).
