Our accommodations are fully equipped houses/condos located on Yelapa's main beach. Each house has at least one to two private bedrooms, fully equipped kitchens, living room/dining room and bathroom. We have high speed internet in each room. Each house has a spectacular view of the Yelapa bay, the main beach and the river. We have a private beach with umbrellas and beach chairs for our guest. Yelapa has many great restaurants that offer a variety of foods from traditional Mexican and even some american treats. Some of the restaurants have live music one or more nights during the week. There are several grocery stores where you can buy most anything you might need to prepare your meals in our fully equipped kitchens. There are no cars in Yelapa so it is very tranquil. Yelapa has a variety of activities including full service aquatic adventures. Island tours, fishing, snorkeling and specialty tours can be arranged. There is horse back riding, kayak rentals, tours to beautiful waterfalls and much much more.
My husband and I had to change our vacation plans and by chance found this wonderful place to stay in Yelapa. We stayed in Casa Playa two bedroom suite right off the beach. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. Deck chairs and table were a great place to relax. The king bed was very comfortable with a soft bed and warm blankets. It gets cool at night so you don’t need AC there was a fan which worked well. The bedroom door has a lock so you can secure your self at night as the rest of the unit is open air. There is a lock box to secure your valuables and a locked door at street level. They provided drinking water and beach towels. The resort has its own beach umbrellas that are just for their guest. Which they monitor. The day boats arrive at about 11 and leave around 3 but they are on the other side of the beach. The food in town was amazing with large portions. We had a snack at one of the beach restaurant the day we arrived which was 4 huge coconut shrimp. The best. The best restaurant in town is Abuelos. There is a grocery store just down the hill. Bring good walking shoes We will definitely be back

Built in 1977 as a home, the owners have decided to pursue their dream of owning a hotel with the mission to serve others at its core. This beautiful hotel is located in one of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico, so that the beauty of the beach and the warmth of the people that Mexico has to offer can be shared!
Negative: bed and blanket synthetic (sweaty nights for me); obnoxious chemical smell of air-fresheners in room and hotel corridors; no staff at reception; sometimes long waiting times at lunch in restaurant; no cushions avaiable for the hard beach loungers; no parasols on the beach available that can be moved, so one has to stay under the fixed parasols by the hotel, in close proximity to the other guests; no ice-cream in the restaurant; no solo-travellers in hotel, mainly eldlerly Mexican and America couples; no grocery stores nearby; rec Positive: very beautiful, quiet sandy beach with coconut palm trees; yummy food in restaurant; small hotel; colourful walls in rooms

Casa Bahia Bonita is an excellent place to spend a holiday away from the City, where you can explore and get to know the nature it offers us. We have 9 rooms and 2 cabins ideal to have the best stay. There are many activities to do in Yelapa during the stay, you can visit the village waterfall, dine in the restaurants or dinners of the village and even visit our restaurant located on the beach named "Restaurant Domingo's" where you can delight a refreshing lemonade and taste the exquisite food To get to this beautiful village is by means of Water Taxi.
It is our home away from home - we love everything about this place, location, people, view…we come back every year to get charged with positive energy. The best place to stay in Yelapa, if you don’t mind walking upstairs. The Turtle on the top floor has the best view of the Bay and Yelapa.

“El Careyes Club & Residences is a newly renovated beachfront development that has recently opened in the heart of Careyes, Mexico. Originally known as Hotel El Careyes, this property now runs as a condominium association where these units are now available for sale and to book for rent! El Careyes features 5 infinity pools, an onsite restaurant, 2 lighted tennis courts, a private access beachclub
Sadly I have to say that we didn't enjoy our trip to the Careyes Club & Residences at all. The location is of course special and the architecture of the whole area is wonderful. The rooms are nice but basic & pricy. But that's where the magic ends. The beaches are not really to swim at all. Pools are good. But the worst is the costumer service. I had to ask for everything several times and in the end 4/5 replies I got were wrong. One of the most embarrassing moments was that they had an cocktail party planned in one of the beautiful villas in Careyes. I asked twice in the reception if really everyone is allowed to attend the cocktail party. "Of course, it's for all the guests"...so I asked for the directions, I got transferred to a Manager who explained me how to get there and I asked again, if we really could go there. As they had a flyer in the receptions advertising this event. 2h later we drove to the villa. What took us nearly 30 min because of the difficult roads....as soon we entered the property we some guests looking at us with disgust and a woman approached us, telling us that we are not allowed to be here. This is a private property. Then I mentioned the event advertised by the hotel. But she replied me that this event was canceled. I mentioned that I just spook to the manager of the Hotel and who even confirmed me the event 2h ago. She then replied me..ooh then he most likely didn't received the e-mail. Honestly we felt like complete idiots. IMO you should not travel to Careyes if you can not effort to rent villa for 8 -12k a night. If not you're treated like a second-class guest visiting Hollywood. I'm very sad we lost our time and money visiting this place. Not worth the hype at all.

Villa Santa Barbara has 3 luxurious suites Junior Suite, Premier suite and a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom Penthousuite. Beautiful pool and palapa. Located on the corner of one of the 3 canals that lead to the ocean. Large dock where water taxi will take you to town. Short walk to ocean and many fine restaurants and bars.
Four glorious weeks of sun, sand, good food, seeing old friends and meeting new ones! This was our second stay at Villa Santa Barbara. It feels like home from the moment you arrive. Barb, the host, lives on site. She welcomes you at the gate on arrival and gives you a tour of the Villa amenities and your suite where cold beer, wine and a homemade meal await. The suites are spotlessly clean and roomy with a large king size bed and well appointed kitchen. There is additional outdoor kitchen area set with a bar, BBQ and large palapa for eating and socializing. The room view looks onto the pool deck with a background of palm trees lining the canal. Everything is just minutes away by walking or water taxi is available from the Villa dock for a quick picturesque trip. There is a large selection of places to eat, everything from savory vendor snacks, ocean side restaurants to fine dining all within a few blocks. The sunsets are spectacular!!! Barb has lived in Barra for many years. She is very knowledgeable on the area and happily shares recommendations with her guests. This place is truly the gem of Mexico! We are already planning our next vacation!

Located in Barra de Navidad, Jalisco, Hotel La Alondra is placed facing the Pacific Ocean and has its own private beach area. Free Wi-Fi access in public areas and private parking are available on site. The air-conditioned rooms include a wardrobe, a balcony and cable TV. Some units have ocean views. The private bathrooms come with showers and the suite also has a spa bath. Hotel la Alondra has an on-site bar that opens from 16:00 to 24:00 hours, and guests will be able to find a variety of restaurants offering local and international dishes within 350 m from the property. The beachfront promenade is 5 minutes’ walk from Hotel La Alondra, as well as the bus station. A pedestrian street with pavement cafes, restaurants and shops is a short 3-minute walk away.
Location is everything for this hotel right in the middle of the action, people absolutely lovely and service is friendly and staff very efficient. Restaurants are abundant within a short distance, markets of locals with fruit, vegetables, fresh baked goods on every corner. However if amenities in the hotel are what you need scarce, no fridge, kettle, coffee maker without bargaining. Remember also only cash (pesos used) and no bank here have to go to Melaque, credit cards very widely not accepted.
