Restoring Hôtel***in the middle of Limousin. Close Dordogne ans mounts of Cantal.Stays, swimming pool, Spa, Hammam.Family, marriage, business. Opening on the 25th of June 2011
Excellent service, food and venue. From the outside this looks quite plain, and gives little insight to the delights that await you inside. On arrival we were taken inside to a beautiful well laid out room. One of our party was gluten intolerant and they had a menu ready for her to chose from. We chose the 29€ meal, not realising that it contained 2 lovely added amuse bouche (I think that’s how to spell it). Each of our courses was full of flavour with unexpected surprises. We all had differing combinations of the menu and were all more than happy with our choices. The staff were all very pleasant and efficient. The best meal out we have had for a long time.

In the heart of the city center The Collonge Hotel do his comback after being closed during 2 years. Ideally situated between the city center and the train station, you will appreciate his kindly welcome and his conformt of today. The Collonge Hotel suggest you 3 kind of rooms (standard, supperior, privileged) with an elegant style. Provision of an elevator, bar, meeting room. And at the proximity of stylish restaurant, brasserie and renom tables.
Le Collonges is a fairly standard city-hotel as far as the rooms go. Don't expect too much (you get what you pay for) . But reception by Gulia was excellent, she made us feel welcome and was willing to go the extra mile to do so. We can only imagine she had a beautiful smile underneath her mask. Breakfast was excellent too.

We stayed here on 26/6/18 en-route back from Spain and were pleased with our selection. Good sized rooms with a/c, free parking and a welcoming arrival by the man on reception. This hotel has an excellent restaurant attached with generous sized portions and the breakfast was good with a particularly friendly & helpful lady in attendance For people who like to eat out there is a McDonalds opposite & other eateries nearby. There is also a Carrefour with a restaurant and cheaper fuel within 200 metres of the hotel. We would definitely use this establishment again when travelling through France

The hotel has changed a great deal, rooms without art. Beds small and minimal pillows. Clean and staff friendly. Sound proofing not great between rooms and much noise outside at night. For the title of he hotel they need to live up to it ‘Grand’ Old lift amazing!

Make a better and stunning breakfast, buy fresh products, not old bread of old croissants. if you offer coffee, then give coffee. And also buy new sleeping couch if you want people to sleep on it properly. Property and surrounding are beautiful. Unfortunately restaurant was closed, reception closed earlier, all spa and other facilities were not available and so it mostly costed a lot of money for poor bedding and very, very poor breakfast.

We had an absolutely fantastic one night stay at Hotel Joyet de Maubec. The views from our room were stunning. The village of Uzerche is well worth a visit too. This hotel is right at the top of the village amongst its cobbled streets and very old buildings. The hotel has been renovated to the highest of standards. From arrival to leaving everything was perfect. The room was clean and luscious with a lovely bathroom too. Breakfast was served to us at our table and was so yummy. We couldn’t eat in the restaurant as we stayed on a Sunday so they booked us a table at a fairly local restaurant within 15 minutes drive where we had the most enjoyable meal. Well priced for the service given. Thanks for making us so welcome, we will revisit again I hope, on our journey to our property in the south of France x❤️??????❤️x

Stayed one night. Large room but not very clean. Coffee stains on the wall. A little run down but a reasonable price. Shower head broken and you had to hold it to wash yourself. Friendly staff and decent French breakfast.

Very clean & fresh, huge rooms, great shower & bedding, excellent under cover parking and general facilities. Front desk (and everything else), Christine, could not have been more pleasant & helpful. Attached casual restaurant/wine bar is also very good. All in all, a welcome refuge on a rainy November night.

This is the second time we have stayed here and unfortunately it wasn’t as good as the first time. We had a nice room on the first visit with a lovely big bathroom that was clean and modern. However our second visit showed us that you can’t always rely on past information. The room was much smaller which didn’t really bother us as there was still enough room to put things however the bathroom was a different story. It had a shower over the bath and at first I was pleased as I sometimes like to have a bath if I have time. Sadly I decided against that when I saw the state of the grouting around the tap area of the bath. I didn’t want to have to lie in the bath and be staring at that during my soak. The other problem was the shower screen was far too short and didn’t reach the top of the bath hence the water went all over the floor when having a shower. The other downside with the Hotel is there aren’t many free parking spaces and big vehicle owners beware the spaces are not massive. There’s plenty of paid parking near by so I don’t know if you get any sort of discount if you have to use those as we’ve always been lucky enough to get a free one so it might be worth checking that with the hotel. The really good point for this hotel is the location. It is only a few mins walk into the heart of the city and it is right next to a lovely park area. There are also lots of restaurants along the street from the Hotel so you have plenty of choice on your doorstep. Whilst we didn’t have breakfast this time we did have it on our other visit and that was very nice with a nice selection of self service items. However be warned that the eggs are not hard boiled. Unless we missed the sign we thought they were and only found out they were raw and to be cooked yourself when Hubby cracked one onto his plate. It may be there was a sign though so that would be our fault for not seeing it. All in all the Hotel has many good points but sadly on this occasion the bathroom was a huge disappointment especially after having had such a lovely room first time round.
