Reviewed By CainteoirComfortable and understatedly stylish hotel with helpful staff, comfortable rooms and tastefully laid out common areas, with mementoes of past guests who liked the place, eg Pavarotti.. The restaurant is good and breakfast buffet also. Citta di Castello is a relaxed base for visiting art treasures of Umbria and also has a good art gallery of its own. Had never heard of Alberto Burri before going there but the huge warehouse display of his works was also worth visiting.

Great place and lovely staff
Reviewed By Tiziana EWe stayed at Borgo di Celle for a week and loved everything about it! The location is perfect, the hotel is super nice, the staff is amazing. We travelled with our one-year old son and they did everything they could to accommodate our needs/requests. They also gave us plenty of tips about less touristic itineraries, which we loved. We felt at home and would recommend it to everyone visiting Umbria.

Large family birthday celebration!
Reviewed By Megjane_11We stayed for 6 days as part of a 2 week booking for my Aunt’s birthday as a large family group, maximum of 27 adults and 1 child. We booked out all of the accommodation room and made use of the communal areas. The decor throughout is quirky & original. Maurizio the Owner & Andrea were really accommodating and helpful with their local knowledgeable! There is plenty of off-street parking for several cars. There is a local large Gala supermarket a short 5 minute drive away in Città di Castello & a small village shop around the corner from the B&B. Most of the rooms have either freestanding A/C units or fans, some have showers and some have jacuzzi baths. There is an outside hot tub and two small pools. There is a big communal room and a large dining area under a canopy or if the weather is inclement. It was organised with the owners to cook 27 guests a 3 course dinner. It was delicious! There is a well-equipped communal kitchen & an outdoor pizza oven. If you stay during August/September we would highly recommend using a strong insect repellent or burning citronella candles as most of our group got frequently bitten the tiger mosquitos! I would recommend either bringing antihistamine tablets/cream & insect repellent spray/plug-in with you or purchasing from a local pharmacy/supermarket!

Reviewed By GallusCivesWe spent a night and had an excellent experience in the renewed wing: very large room, XXL shower and large bathroom. Quiet and cosy room with comfortable beds. The personnel and owner are very courteous and helpful. Pros: - very clean - air conditioning in the room - comfortable beds - free parking nearby - very large room and bathroom - free WiFi - included breakfast - good prices - perfect location in the perimeter of the medieval city Cons: - none I can think of We didn't try the restaurant of the Hotel.

A hidden treasure
Reviewed By EuroericanThis place if fabulous and feel so fortunate that I got to stay here for a week. The food is phenomenal, and it was such a blessing to get to have gourmet lunches and dinners every day. Breakfast is always provided, though a typically Italian approach with just some pastries, coffee and juice. And of course, Nutella on the side. The staff is very friendly, particularly the owner's wife, who I got to know briefly while I was there. My room was very comfortable and adequate, and the one and only complaint I have about this place is that there is no WIFI inside any of the buildings. Unfortunately to get any kind of cell service (internet or just the phone) you have to go outside. Otherwise, the WIFI does work - just not indoors. The pool is spectacular, and the food again, is out of this world. The hotel is set out very far from civilization, so you really hear nothing at night, except the odd cricket or rustle in the bushes. On site there is an old chapel, and the hotel itself is fairly historic. Make sure you have a car! There is no way to get in and out of this place without one. I don't even think there are buses around for many, many miles. So be prepared! The ambiance, motif, decor and setting is completely picturesque. I hope to stay here again in my life! Highly, highly recommended!

Excellent hospitality
Reviewed By Marianne MWe reached Citta di Castello from all around Europe for an Erasmus project. The staff was hugely helpful and we had an amazing stay. The rooms are lovely, clean, confortable. The breakfast and diner are lovely too and you get to try lots of italien specialities. The staff speaks several languages and is always happy to help, even if they need to come out of their way to serve you a lovely italien cappuccino. Grazie!

The HOTEL UMBRIA offers a sober milieu, where the Ombrien tradition has its utmost expression through the sicere hospitality and the highly rafined cuisine. Its rooms are wonderfully furnished and equipped with bathroom ( with shower, hair-drier, towels),telephone, television.The breakfast is in the dining room to 7:30pm at 10:30pm To the hotel belongs also a congress centre where you can admire exhibitions of local and regional painters.

Reviewed By Paol27Alloggio arredato con gusto ed eleganza in ottima posizione nella zona storica della città. Si trova a pochi minuti a piedi dai principali luoghi di interesse e in particolare nella bellissima Pinacoteca Comunale, vicino alla quale si trova facilmente parcheggio. Non vi è servizio di prima colazione ma a pochi metri si trova una fantastica pasticceria. Il terrazzo (arredato con comode poltrone e a cui si accede dal pianerottolo) consente di ammirare l'incantevole panorama della parte antica della città, da non perdere alla sera con l'illuminazione del Duomo. La signora che gestisce gli alloggi è molto gentile ed accogliente.
