You'll find rugged beauty and a slow pace in the Cinque Terre. Named for the five towns of Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore, this portion of the Italian Riviera is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cars aren't allowed, so take local trains or ferries to go from town to town—or walk one of the spectacular trails that connect them.

Hotel Margherita is at your disposal to make your stay pleasant and relaxing, in a tasteful and comfortable environment. Located in the center of the historic town of Monterosso, we are just a few steps from the beaches, touristic port, trails, local shops and many restaurants to choose from. Our courteous Reception and Management staff, are always at your disposal to provide you with all the information needed for the famous hiking trails, tours by boat and train transportation within the park of the Cinque Terre. After the mudslide that hit Monterosso in October 2011, the hotel has been completely renovated. The hotel has a common living area with free Wi-Fi, satellite tv, bar and private patio that looks out onto the old fascinating town of Monterosso. In the morning you can enjoy a delicious breakfast in our inviting breakfast room, where you can find a wide variety of choices from our breakfast buffet. All of our rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, satellite tv, telephone, Wi-Fi access, mini fridge and safe. All rooms have private bathrooms with a shower and hair dryer.
There is a wide selection of places to stay in Monterosso from small and cheap to relatively expensive. The Magherita is towards the top end of the scale but it offers an excellent quality of service. We stayed 7 nights and were not disappointed. The staff are helpful in the extreme and the quality of cleanliness throughout is second to non. Breakfasts are included in the Tariff and the range and quality are extremely good indeed. It is well situated in the centre of the old town surrounded by the many attractions of the resort. I commend it to any potential traveller to the Cinq Terres.

The Hotel Porto Roca is located 200 metres from the historic centre of Monterosso and at the start to the 5 terre path. Its extraordinary location between land and sky on the sea offers a relaxing oasis far from noise and stress of everyday modern life. It boasts 40 air-conditioned rooms and 3 suites. Our chef offers traditional and typical local dishes in our panoramic inside and outside restaurants overlooking the sea and harbour.
Gorgeous views, lovely clean, well organised hotel. Breakfast buffet was delightful. Pool was amazing! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff! We stayed in a basic room that had a small outside area backing onto the mountain side, it was plenty that we needed, and actually the shade helped us cool off in the afternoon.

In the historic centre of Monterosso, at only 5 minutes from the beach, there is the Souvenir, a hotel with a unique design that mixes past and modern; it welcomes you with the quietness of its colours and the scents of its garden. It is easily reachable, at the Souvenir you can taste a fresh cocktail admiring the sunset from the common terrace or surrounded by the quietness of the garden.
Just returned from a one week stay with large group . The staff is great . Very accommodating and breakfast was good every morning with lots to choose from . I loved the location right in the middle of old town and easy to get everywhere . Yes there is no elevator but the stairs were not bad I had a great room with a balcony in overlooking the courtyard . Courtyard had tables and comfy chairs to sit and lounge either during day or evening for a drink . Rooms were clean and adequate . Bathroom was a bit small but that didn’t bother me . The only thing is would complain about is the AC unit was pretty noisy and it ended up turning it off at night cause it woke me up. I definitely would stay here again and recommend

Landed in Milan from U.S., with literally no plans to go anywhere except to the coast of Italy. While on my laptop in the airport, searching accommodations near Cinque Terre, I saw the pics of the view of the sea from the hotel. Took a chance and figured for $155/night, and good reviews, what the heck! Book this hotel! The room was basic, no fridge, just a bed, end tables, desk, armoire, and bathroom. The views from the windows and from our spacious balcony were magnificent. Peaceful setting surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, wildflowers, and a multitude of songbirds. A top down view of the closet town, Manarola. A few steps from the hotel and we were walking the mountainside vineyard trails to Corniglia. Every time we ate breakfast on the deck we marveled at the view and the serenity of the local. The breakfast (included) every morning was delicious. Fresh coffee, fresh pastries, fresh varied local fruits, cereals, yogurt, and freshly scrambled eggs delivered to our table. The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and lovely to converse with. The restaurant next door, Locanda Tiabuscion, has a relationship with the hotel and is the "got-to" place to eat superb food. We will be back in the off-season. A view to die for, basic, no frills hotel accommodations, but definitely the place to stay while in Cinque Terre if you desire a base of operations with the best view in town.

Absolutely an extraordinary experience. This hotel is beautiful- with magnificent views at every turn. The staff are warm and friendly with quite good English. Service absolutely outstanding without exception (although honestly we found this to be true everywhere in northern italy). Breakfast (included) beautiful and tasty. They made dinner reservations for us. Lots of good hiking advice We stayed in the two story suite. I will say the stairs are very steep, which felt a bit treacherous after a few glasses of wine ?. And made harder after sore legs from hiking! I’d probably opt for a single floor room next time The walk to the hotel is quite steep. But no steps and we easily managed with our rolly bags. About 10 mins from the train station. Easy to find. General note: Manarola was actually our favorite town of the five. Charming. Less people. Less touristy tshirt shops. But be prepared for steep climbing everywhere. We are in our 40s and peleton regulars but had quite sore legs after a few days of hiking between the towns.

The inn Il Maestrale is a small refuge for those who like beautiful things and accurate, but informal atmosphere. Stefania and Giovanni are the owners and the managers of the XXVIII sec. building, which has been recently restored following modern stardards. The terrace of the inn overlooks the historycal centre main street and the inn is a short step from restaurants and shops. The beach and the ferry boats dock are just 2 minutes away as well as the path n.2 leading to Vernazza. We will do our best to give you a special holiday at the Cinque Terre
We had a week long stay at this exceptional B+B in the heart of the old town of Monterosso.Superb location to all restaurants and bars; and 10 mins from train station and boat port for easy access to the other villages in Cinque Terre. Giovanni was the most amazing host explaining the hike trails and the ways to explore Cinque Terre. He gave recommendations to local restaurants ( L’Ancora Della Tortuga is a must visit )and even persuaded a local bar owner nearby to screen a football match we were keen to see ,along with another couple also staying there. The accommodation itself is extremely comfortable and cleaned daily by the lovely Connie There was lots of choice for breakfast; including fresh fruit salad ,pastries and eggs cooked to your liking.Tea ,coffee ,fresh fruit juices and waters were available to help yourself to all day on the beautiful flower filled terrace. We can’t recommend this marvellous B+ B highly enough! Thankyou Giovanni and Stefania for making our stay so memorable.

My wife and I had a wonderful overnight stay here during a two day journey to Cinque Terre with another couple. The hotel is on a quiet side street off the main coastal road in Monterosso al Mare, just a five minute (flat) walk from the train station. The front entrance has a large courtyard shaded with umbrella pine and royal palm trees. We arrived early, and the friendly staff stored our luggage for us until our room was ready. Check in time is 14:00 and check out time is 10:30. Our room was well-appointed with a metal shade and security windows. The shower is small - but typical for Italian hotels. We couldn’t get the climate control to work, but it got cooler as the evening progressed and we didn’t need it anyway. Our breakfast was continental-style and the fruit and pastries were very fresh. Coffee and tea are available any way you like (espresso, macchiato, Americano) and the machine is high-end and sophisticated. I can’t say more about the friendly hotel staff. They stored our bags again after we left and offered to let us use a shower and washroom later in the day after we checked out. Grazie Mille!! We highly recommend Hotel Palme for anyone contemplating a journey to Monterosso al Mare and the Cinque Terre National Park. Buon viaggio!!!

With this property, you are (over)paying for the view -- which, admittedly, is gorgeous if you get one of the rooms overlooking the sea. Otherwise, it's a huge disappointment. We had the 'Aargan' room, and the room itself is OK, if a little lacking in amenities (one outlet, in the form of an extension cord, for the entire room). The bathroom, however, is a pit. The shower is so old and discolored, with broken tiles, that I wouldn't set foot in it. On top of that, the bathroom light wasn't working, and the housekeeper (who was very apologetic) said they couldn't get an electrician while we were there -- so, no light in the bathroom for 2 nights. The owner, who communicates instructions for check-in, etc. via email but is never actually present, did not respond to any of my emails and charged us full price for 2 nights with what was basically an unusable bathroom. Buyer beware. The pictures do not match the reality (and you can enjoy the view for free from the walkway outside the property).

5 Terre Pelagos offer 7 double rooms and 1 quadruple room. Rooms are located in the upper part of the village near the church and car parking and in centre of the village, near the train station and the sea. Our rooms are brand new equipped with elegant furnitures and comfort, in respect of the traditional layout of late 19th century buildings. We can offer boat tour with a private traditional boat.
I can’t say enough great things about this place. I felt welcome from the very second as one of the staff met me at the end of the pedestrian tunnel to help with my bags up the steep hill to the hotel (you’ll get used to it). Loris the concierge was so warm and bubbly it was like making an instant friend. I stayed in the charming Shabby Chic room, though I’d argue it was more chic than shabby! Super clean and spacious room/en suite bathroom. Would definitely stay here again!
