Everything's coming up roses at Plaza Hotel Chorley, right at the heart of Lancashire. You're just minutes away from Chorley town centre, and the beauty of the Lancashire countryside is on your doorstep too. The hotel is situated near Yarrow Valley Country Park where you can indulge in walks, cycling and even take a trip on the canal. The Hartwood Hall is a quaint hotel situated on the outskirts of Chorley, set back in its own rustic building. Historical places of interest such as Astley Hall are minutes away from the hotel. Chorley also has its very own amusement park, and is home to the largest Mormon Temple in the UK. The hotel has 10 individually styled en-suite bedrooms, some of which retain period features such as wooden beams. All rooms are designed to accommodate both business and leisure guests, and all come equipped with flat screen digital TV’s, Work desk with unlimited Free WIFI, Iron and Ironing boards, and hairdryers. The hotel is accessed from the M61, and is en route to Preston and Bolton which are approximately 20 minutes drive via the motorway networks. The hotel is adjacent to a fully licensed restaurant and bar, where a wide range of meals are on offer throughout the day and evening, from a great value menu.
We booked to stay at this hotel as we had previously stayed and eaten there. On arrival greeted by Lisa who was very helpful. Stayed in room 3 which was clean and tidy (comfortable bed and pillows) but a bit on the small side for two people. Meal in the Friday evening was average. Good service, again by Lisa. Not much to say about breakfast on the Saturday. Nothing laid out, didn't listen to our requests and we got the impression that the person didn't want to be there!!! What a contrast on Sunday morning. Breakfast table laid out with cereal, toast, pastries, hot and cold drinks. The full English breakfast was much better than the day before. Again Lisa was on duty and checked we had everything we needed. Lisa deserves to be employee of the month!

Family run hotel in West Lancashire, excellent motorway links, rural location, free parking & WiFi, basic breakfast included, pet friendly, onsite Italian restaurant & bar open 6 nights a week.
no complaints at all. It was a half way stop after 7 hours of driving from Scotland and it was perfect for that. We were met promptly on arrival, friendly check in, and shown to our room and shown the breakfast bits. We had an ideal room, as we had our puppy with us, and was close to the exit door to let him out for toilets. we could see our car from our room too. plenty of dog poo bags supplied but had to hunt around for a bin, found it eventually. Big car park. Very nice Italian restaurant next door which we made use of , excellent meal. Our room was very, bright and floral, and dated but it was clean and very comfortable bed, we did chuckle that it reminded us of 'Crossroads' from the 70's. the Bathroom suite was Apricot, never seen anything like it before, however it was fully functional and did the job at a very reasonable price, so all in all, it was great for a cheap clean pitstop. Breakfast supplies are help yourself at reception, toast, and cereals. Orange juice and water in your fridge with milk. All very much well thought out. Basic but clean. Quirky.
