Our albergo (hotel) is located in Chiusi della Verna, a small-but wonderful- village in the Tuscan Appennino, in the province of Arezzo. It is situated at around 1000m above the sea level, really close to the main attraction of the area, La Verna Sanctuary. The Sanctuary is really famous for hosting during the XIII century a.c. Saint Francis, in which he got the stigmata. Whether you are a believer or not, these places, these woods, will conquer you, and they will help you finding again the sometimes lost contact with Nature and its fruits. This is a family business hotel, with cozy-vintage rooms and home-made and typical Tuscan cuisine. We always do our best to make you feel at home.
My family and I felt very at home during our one-night stay at this lovely Albergo in Chiusi della Verna. The staff was extremely helpful. Our room was comfortable, quaint and very quiet. There was a bath in our room's bathroom, which we really appreciated after a long day of hiking. The Albergo also offers clients a quaint little area outside for reading, writing or talking, at tables or in chairs, in the shade or sun. We stayed here with the half-pension option, so dinner and breakfast were included. The dinner was copious, and most memorably, many of the ingredients came from their own family garden! The house-wine was great, too, as was the coffee the next morning.

Giovanna" Hotel and Restaurant offers comfortable hospitality in Chiusi della Verna, surrounded by the Casentino Forests National Park and at the foot of the La Verna Sanctuary. An ideal starting point for excursions, trekking, mountain bike and horse rides, here you can experience the best of nature. It has 14 nice rooms; single, doubles, triples and some with private balcony. All rooms have en-suite bathroom, telephone, tv, hairdryer and mini-bar. The hotel has a lift.
Had a very pleasant one-night stay here, with excellent lunch and dinner, as the last stop after a one-week hike along the Franciscus route. The room was small but clean and comfortable. Very forthcoming service - it was no problem serving me breakfast at 6.30 when I had to leave with an early bus.

Agriturismo Vezzano is a scattered accommodation located in the medieval hamlet of Vezzano. We offer hospitality in independent apartments, derived from ancient houses or agricultural annexes. We are in Chiusi della Verna, right beneath the famous Franciscan Sanctuary of La Verna.

A nice quiet place in the nature. The terraces are nice and level. There are many small huts which can be rented. The sanitary facilities are o.k. The little restaurant which belongs to the site serves lovely meals to decent prices. There is also a shelf with the most necessary what the campers need. The hosts were very nice. We found it an uncomplicated place, which we clearly can recommend.

We stayed one night and found the staff friendly, but very little english. The rooms are basic and the bath room VERY small. The food was excellent in the evening and the breakfast, again tipical Italian.

Pessimo!
