Stayed for 9 nights. The room was very clean and comfortable. My room faced the railway tracks but the train sound did not bother me or wake me up. The staff were helpful and polite. I enjoyed my stay and will stay here again the next time I am in Chatham.

We went here to celebrate my 5-year anniversary with my significant other. As I've worked in the industry I can be quite picky when it comes down to hotels that are noted to be the best in the business. This hotel is a great spot for some fun photos (definitely do the photo booth!!) Pre-arrival assistance is warmly received. The team is very pleasant and responsive when you email them for assistance. There are great packages available that we took advantage of! Our stay was in the King William Suite - I could not believe how gorgeous the room was. A minor critique to room quality: 1) the fireplace though heat came out, did not really give any ambiance. felt like the lighting was broken. 2) carpet stains from the furniture black marks aren't always appealing for a 200+ price tag on the room. 3) The heating unit rattled so much we ended up using the fireplace in lieu of the heater. The soaker tub is AMAZING. Definitely a selling feature. Though the shower/conditioner mix would - felt not like premium offerings. Again, would I care at any other hotel? No. but if you're putting Ontario's Premier Hotel on the wall.. you look for those small details. Towels/Bathrobes were a little scruffy but overall good quality. The service here was truly fantastic from the agents who checked us into Taylor at the front office who as there during the majority of our trip. Always so positive and made us feel so welcomed! My only feedback here would be on holidays pre-collecting what is open and to-do in the area. we went completely forgetting our anniversary fell on Family Day - though we asked we did not get the assistance one would hope for.

There was not a single thing I would change about our experience at Bye the Bay. The host was warm and welcoming. Our suite was simply perfect. Very comfortable bed, sitting area and balcony - exactly as pictured and exactly what we were looking for. Joanne went out of her way to create 2 elegant, delicious and filling vegan breakfasts for us. Another big plus for us was the well appointed kitchen for guest use.

Our 2nd stay unfortunately. The hotel is musty smelling and not well maintained. When I complained about finding marijuana in front of our room it took them 24 hours to clean it. When I lodged a second complaint about a clock radio going off cleaning staff listened in. Our first stay was in September rooms are stuffy a/c extremely noisy. Other clients extremely noisy.

When I planned my trip around Southwestern Ontario I expected this to be the lowest budget motel, so wasn't expecting much. In the end it turned out this was the best motel of all three based on price, location, service and room quality. Staff was friendly and professional, room was clean, although there was a bit of cigarette smell, but you sort of got used to it after a while. The decor was outdated, but all motels have outdated decor. Location was great, directly next to a high end restaurant if you want to go for linen tablecloth service. The motel was affordable and the value was better for the price than the other motels. Rooms were all conveniently located on ground floor so great for bikes.

This is place with bare minimums. Room was cozy but have everything we needed, two beds, freeze, microwave, Window AC, free Parking, Bathroom. I think it is operated by a couple living in the hotel. Both of them were very nice and friendly people. It felt like some rooms were occupied by long term residents. Facilities was just basic cheap quality, but appropriate for the rent you would pay. Controlling right water flow and temperature is bit tricky. When we checked in it said No Vacancy but did not see any other occupants in person in brief time we were there. There are not other amenities outside of the room. No breakfast or coffee. We did not use their Wifi.

We weren't expecting much when we arrived at the hotel as the star rating was not super great! The light in the lobby was off when we arrived and thought the place was closed. Once we got our key to our room, we walked in and the room had such a terrible smoky smell. I didn't want to change rooms as we got the king jacuzzi suite. We weren't in the room much as we were there for a wedding. The first night I was going to put my phone in the bedside table and when I opened the drawer, it was disgusting and had an arm band for doing needles...gross!!! Continental breakfast was a bit odd with Covid going on. Room was nice and big and the jacuzzi tub was nice. I liked the microwave in the room and the mini fridge was fairly big. Not much else I can say was great about the place.
