La Marmoire is a beautiful farmhouse dating back to the 1700's. A boutique bed and breakfast - a welcoming 'home from home' with a touch of luxury. Five ensuite letting rooms offering flexible accommodation for up to 12 guests. Full use of the heated swimming pool and hot tub. An idyllic rural retreat set in the countryside, a 10 minute drive from the picturesque town of Chateaubriant. Great for family gatherings, celebrations, tourism & business.
Wonderful Stay
Reviewed By DRIVER2580As a group of 3 couples we stayed for 8 nights to celebrate various 60th/70th birthdays, using the house as a base to visit local areas, Vitre, Nantes (by train), Angers (including a visit to Le Lion D'Angers Racecourse) and Chateaubriant. La Marmoire is a beautiful home set in the countryside and the hosts, Susan and Roger, are really helpful and good fun, and helped make our stay wonderful. All bedrooms are quality and comfortable, the indoor living area and outside spaces are great for relaxing. We made extensive use of the 'honesty bar system' and had huge breakfasts everyday, evening meals and the BBQ, which were lovely and fairly priced. We strongly suggest you stay if passing by.

A great care is taken to ensure that guests' stay at the hotel, whether on business or for pleasure, is pleasant and enjoyable.

Reviewed By CaptainRNThis is a very modern mid-range hotel hidden within a centrally located historic building in the old town. Does not have a resteraunt but helpful staff can direct you to excellent local (and reasonably priced) places to eat. Very good breakfast in lovely room. Limited parking on site so, if you can, arrive early.

Great Wedding Venue
Reviewed By Tim CStayed here as a guest of a wedding party in the main house. The building & grounds were great, perfect for our event & the staff were attentive & helpful in the main. The breakfast buffet was simple, yet well presented & tasty. Our main gripe was that the air conditioning was not working in the main house & we had to have fans. The fan which was present in our room upon arrival was inadequate & so a larger fan was brought which was effective but noisy. In this day & age and in a hot sunny environment (32 degrees..!!) Having air conditioning that works is essential. The hotel is out of the main town, but Chateaubriant is pleasant with some nice cafes & restaurants.

Reviewed By ChrisHWokingThis hotel in the centre of town opposite public parking provided us with a comfortable nights stay and a really good evening meal. The decor is striking and effective in red black and white and this theme ran through the dining room and bedrooms. The restaurant was quite full although not many guests seemed to be staying at the hotel and were presumably local. The food was excellent and included amuse bouche and we tried the aperitif cocktail of the night which was excellent Although Service was a bit staid it worked and certainly was not intrusive. The room was adequate and the bed comfortable and was relatively cheap. The meal was excellent and more pricey but again good value We would certainly consider staying here again if travelling in the area

Reviewed By InductothermAlthough the room was small, it was comfortable and warm. Kettle and Coffee provided. Staff were very helpful. Food in the restaurant was fantastic. Breakfast good. Definitely stay here if in the area again.

Reviewed By SJB1505We stopped over here on the way to the Vendee & it served to be a great stop over . The host was very accommodating and let us check in early. Lovely attic room for the family and a beautiful setting with a great garden.

Reviewed By gillbrown55Excellent value for money, warm welcome, well appointed room, three course homecooked dinner with wine €11.50. Breakfast a bit overpriced at €8, secure parking for bikes. Can't recommend too highly. Quite road near the station.

Reviewed By Sylvère DChambre parfaite entièrement rénovée dans une belle maison en pierre dans un environnement très calme. La salle de bain est très propre et fonctionnelle. A quelques minutes du centre ville de Chateaubriand. L’accueil est vraiment sympa et le fait d'avoir le "label" Accueil Paysan est un vrai plus. Les chambres sont situés à l'étage de la maison. Le petit déjeuner avec des produits issu de l'agriculture biologique locale. Le pain du paysan boulanger est au top. Je recommande cette établissement
