Cute family small hotel
Reviewed By Tan CWe are staying there for just one night with breakfast. It was cheap and worth money. Rooms were clean and comfortable for staying there some days more. The location is in a narrow valley and has no view. But some few km away you can find a lot of interesting spaces, locations for exploring. Beds in the room were extremely comfortable. The rooms were probably recently renovated. On one side you have local road and in the other small river "Sentanelska reka" We'd dinner in a restaurant opposite the hotel. The food is not typical regional, but you can't go out hungry. We get still warm, fresh backed "gibanica", it was delicious. The staff was friendly and we fill hard-working family energy.

At Guesthouse Krivograd, within our "A la Carte" restaurant, you can discover authentic Carinthian dishes or sample international and mediterranean fish cuisine. In the local surroundings you can find ski slope Peca. There is also the old mine Mežica which offers cycling, kayaking or walking tours, and for the mountain bike enthusiasts a single trail park Jamnica. The guesthouse offers 20 rooms, each with a bathroom, and a total capacity for 60 guests.
A beautiful stay in the mountains

We stayed in this lovely family run hotel to experience what the rural mountainous Slovenian life was like. We wanted to star gaze, switch off from technology, screen time and busy lifestyles and simply enjoy being in nature. I can tell you it did not disappoint. The family that run this hotel treated us like one of their own. We stayed in the newly developed building of the hotel and our room was beautiful. We had a wet room with walk in shower, balcony and lovely modern clean bedroom which was comfortable for our stay. The food and breakfast at the hotel was really enjoyable and we thoroughly enjoyed sampling the local produce (including yummy pumpkin oil on bean salads). During our stay nothing was too much to ask of the lovely staff that run this establishment. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to have a true Slovenian experience. We have fallen in love with the place and will definitely be back again this year. Thank you once again for your kindness and hospitality during our stay. Nish and Zac

Reviewed By Nina ZToday we visited the Kope ski resort near Slovenj Gradec, which is being promoted a lot on the radio. Already in the parking lot, we were directed to where to leave the car and we walked 15 minutes to the ski resort, which is located at Grmovščkov dom. Towards the top, we saw a lot of free parking spaces. At the resort it was no longer possible to buy tickets at the ski slope at 11 am because the whole resort was crowded. We also wrote the e-mail Nitro Kope earlier, if it is possible to rent equipment, to which we were told that yes, but when we got there, they no longer had armor or skis available. You can't rent a snowmobile in the area. So we decided to go for tea at the hut where it was not possible to order a drink as the cash register was not working. The experience was bad. Not recommend.

Located in safe, peaceful area, surrounded by beautiful nature. Rooms are furnished with typical Carinthian beds, decorated by antique walls, wooden floor and stylish furniture. Special features are given by old lamps, original accessories and beautiful bathrooms. All rooms on the first floor have a balcony with a stunning view on the mountains. Double rooms, apartments and family rooms available. Our gastronomic offer is based on the recipes of our grandmothers, for what we received award for the best guesthouse in Carinthia. The recipes are carefully chosen and so are the ingredients which are mostly grown in local environment and on eco farms. Carintia region is very famous for branched biking trails in the valley or surrounding hills.

I brought a group of 27 people from Canada, USA and Netherlands to celebrate my 50th birthday in Slovenia . A magical and memorable occasion. Absolutely LOVED the ice cream. The rooms are decorated in a traditional Carinthian style.

Good choice to stay
Reviewed By Robert BWe spent overnight stay at Hiša Poljana. Accommodation is near fairly busy road and for that is not a really quiet place but it is not a fault of the owners. They just have no lucky to have accommodation house at some more quiet place. But it is not tragic and we still recommended it for your stay. Bar place and terrace is very lovely in the evening where you will love to drink some beverage or cocktail listening good relaxation music. Staff is very kind and friendly. Breakfast unfortunately is more simple as we are used to during our stays. We recommended to use more locally domestic foods, some homemade bread, marmalade ... We would appreciate also a more diverse choice for breakfast.

Restaurant with centuries of hospitality experience, expanded and it is offering you today rooms. Out of the town center, the rooms are much convenient for business travelers as many local business are located near by, however other guests are most welcome as well. The design and colors of the rooms will inspire and energize you for the coming day.

Reviewed By TompilotsailorDisaster. Only 5 tables ocupied, but we wait 15 minutes just for order. We went and we never be back. Four guests, who waits even more, did the same. Waiter passed three times and did not even say hello. They have more then 50 tables and with 5 ocipied tables, they obvious do not make money

Best accommodation near Austria
Reviewed By vik2rijav85This is our second time here and I can't praise the accommodation and the owners enough. Rooms are perfect, super clean and modern. Austria is less than a minute away. Food at the restaurant is amazing and the whole family who runs the business is very friendly. Highly recommended.

The restaurant Delalut is a family company. We can offer you seventeen double rooms with telephone, mini bar, TV, bathroom, WC and balcony. For our guests we have also two different types of sauna - Finnish sauna with colour therapy and infrasauna for relaxation at the end of the day.

Reviewed By RuthpholsImmaculately clean, well equipped hotel. Super friendly staff. It's close to the local mountain Ursula gora and ski resorts Kope and Peca. The breakfast is delicious and varied and there is the option to eat in their restaurant, which serves great food. Enough parking and close to local amenities. Easy check in/out and efficient reservation system. All in all, highly recommended.

Reviewed By tukansky86The negatives: They increased their prices but didn't bother to update the prices on their website. So in the end they charged us 28€/person/night even though the price on their website is 22€/person/night. The service/room quality on the other hand was very underwhelming, especially at this price - got 1 small towel per person, had to make the beds ourselves, all of the zippers on the pillowcase/duvet were broken, mattresses were full of hair from previous guests, the room wasn't cleaned underneath the beds where we found used tissues from previous guests which is especially disturbing in Corona times, the kitchen stove was broken, so no warm breakfast for us. The positives: The staff was friendly and helpful and the wood interior design of the hostel looks nice. Conclusion: The price is high and the room/service quality is bad. Have had much better stays in much better-priced hostels.

Expected much much more
Reviewed By Muri26We went two families on a ski weekend and were very negatively surprised by the accommodation. The outdoor look of the accommodation looks great, totaly renovated and all fine. Also the lobby and the cafe part is renovated and all fine. When we then get to our rooms there was a huge suprise - the rooms were so tiny. We stayed in 2nd. Class rooms which are having a description as: rooms with bathroom: are pleasant and homely furnished rooms with TV and bathroom. Small double bed and a bunk bed for kids, single old dilapidated closet and that was it. With all this furniture in the room the room was literally full. The bathroom was also small and used - the toilet was so near the shower and the sink that you have to sit on the Side that you did not hit the sink or the shower. I think that the size of the entire room together with bathroom was max 18m2. Walls were also anything but clean, there was one additinal mirror in the room and it was broken and taped.the tv in room is also at least 10 years old and the signal on TV was snowing. The positive thing was the food which was normall but nothing special. Also the choice of the meals was not werry varied. And when there was full restaurant with People the food was missing and it took the staff quite a while to be able to reload the new food. When you ordered a coffe it takšen also at least 20 minute but the cafe part was not so crowded.. Overall I Will not recommend the accommodation to familyes and also not to rest of the People.
