Hotel is very clean and welcoming, and we enjoyed our stay there very much. Breakfast was great, especially the bakes. They also have spa which looked beautiful and a happy hour with nice cocktails and beer in the afternoon. I highly recommend to stay in this hotel while traveling through Iceland

Beautifully renovated hotel. It’s a drive (15-20 min) from Borgarnes but I liked that it’s quiet and a very nice hotel. Room was small but quite functional and clean. Only minor complaint is the design of the shower, you have to actively try not to get water out. There is a restaurant on the top floor but we had dinner before coming. Simple breakfast buffet is provided with all the basics. Also the server will make you eggs and bacon, nice to have some warm food. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you’re in the area for the night. Good to have breakfast included.

Its bright rooms offer views of the surrounding mountains. Free wired internet is also included. Breakfast is served at the restaurant, which has a furnished terrace. Basketball and football can be played on site. Hiking and biking trails surround Bifrost Hotel, which is a 1-hour drive from Reykjavik.
Lovely hotel with very large rooms. My room had a cooker and fridge so would be good for a long term stay. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and did everything possible to assist our tour group. The breakfast was fantastic as was the restaurant dinner. The only negative was the curtains need to be improved to block out the sunlight.

This guesthouse was not on our original itinerary for driving around the country and last minute find but I appreciate this place quite a lot. The staff are so sweet and hospitable. Had a friendly greeting upon arrival. As a vegetarian I asked if they can make anything for dinner and it was so so good. I was really impressed. Cute living room area with cards and an outdoor deck with beautiful view. We woke up too late for breakfast but they brought it back out so we could have something. That's super sweet and appreciated. Clean room and thank you for that. Would definitely recommend this stay. Would have paid more than I did to stay there. Thank you for your kindness.

The Lava Water Accommodation The Lava Water accommodation is located on two places: At the farm Miðhraun 2 and at Lynghagi, both located in west Iceland, on the southern part of the Snæfellsnes peninsula. The farm Miðhraun is located right on the edge of a 3-4000 years old basalt lava landscape from the volcano Rauðakúla, which stands above the farm along a vast line of other scenic mountains making the farm a beautiful sight. The farm is an organic sheep farm, which also has horses and Icelandic chickens, contributing to the farm’s colorful atmosphere. Here you can relax and surround yourself with the sight and sound of the beautiful Icelandic countryside or take a trip around the Snæfellsnes peninsula with all its magical sights and experiences, such as the Snæfellsnes glacier, the Vatnshellir lava cave, the Lóndrangar basalt cliffs and the list goes on.
We only stayed one night and wished we could have stayed longer! We were in one of the houses - it looked brand new, was super clean and cute, and had a lounge, kitchen, two bedrooms (one with double and one with 2 twins) and a bath with shower and washing machine. Pretty, pastoral location (easy drive to the sites on the peninsula) - privacy - comfy beds - good water pressure in shower. Wished we had picked up groceries for breakfast as the kitchen was fully stocked with all equipment you’d need.

The cabin like Cottage is of good size with a double room and a twin room. The Rooms are small but the Lounge area is pretty comfortable and bright. Very clean. The kitchen is very well equipped. We arrived after 7pm. The Reception was unattended but with our Cottage information displayed. We checked in ourselves without much problem. The whole Cottage was already warm with heaters on. However, the beds are quite worn, particularly the double bed. The WiFi did not work well for most of the time. It is located five minutes from the Town Centre where grocery stores open until 1900 or 2000. I found this quite convenient.

This stylish, brand new 4 star hotel provides great town view and amazing scenery views, with sea and mountains surrounding the hotel. The hotel features a luxury spa- and fitness center so it’s ideal to relax there after a hard day of exploring. The hotel is located in Borgarnes, West Iceland. Surrounded by beautiful nature and hiking trails.
We stayed for one night in a suite, Saturday-Sunday. Staff were hospitable and easygoing in their conversation. The room was spacious, on the top floor overlooking the water. The balcony was a nice perk to have in the room, as it was very comfortable at the end of May to enjoy the views from it, or to dry clothes. We had a nice dinner at the hotel. It was a fun atmosphere that evening we ate because of the football championship being on. Even with a few large tour groups staying at the hotel, we barely realized they were there. The gym and spa were well worth having available too. We got a full fitness and health experience using both. The only things we needed to address were the temperature in the room (rather hot when we got in), and the fridge not being cool. Both issues were resolved as quickly as could be. Outside of the hotel, it was convenient to have a Netto across the street, the info center within a block away, and several sites to visit all withing no more than a mile's distance. If you are into birdwatching, you will have plenty to see in Borgarnes as well. If we come back to Borgarnes, we will definitely consider the B59 Hotel.

Came here as part of 10 day tour of Iceland. We learned earlier in the day that the hotel had a golf course so 2 of us decided to play after dinner (this being late May, it being light until very late). We rented clubs which were old and women's clubs. If you're going to play here, bring your own clubs! Views from golf course and hotel are spectacular in clear weather (please see below) Golf course is not particularly interesting - it's pretty short with typical holes. Fairway is quite "bumpy" perhaps because of lava underneath? We were glad to have the chance to play 9 holes - by 9:30 when we finished it was kinda cold. The hotel itself is average for this kind of place. Rooms on the mountain side have pretty views (please ask for one) Rooms on the other side look at the parking lot. Breakfast was ok. Same with dinner.

Hotel Rjukandi offers free ethernet and Wi-Fi, along with hiking, horse riding and glacier tours. Private bathrooms and mountain views are standard room features. Hotel's restaurant serves traditional Icelandic dinners with organic ingredients, wines and beers.
Hotel Rjukandi is a tiny spot, but our travel company put us up here. I’m glad they did. Very nice, clean, comfortable, up to date rooms. The restaurant is special. Creative menu and really good food. A good value spot too. They have a cool little coffee shop up front with interesting baked pastries and cakes. The people who run this place were so nice. When we arrived they gave us a map of the area with hand written notes and directions to interesting sites in the area.

In Fossatun you will find places for hiking, walking, incredible scenery and nature both in the bright summer days and dark winter nights illuminated by the Northern Lights. 12 Hotel rooms with private bathroom, 4 rooms in guesthouse with shared facilities and Camping pods.
We loved staying here. The view from our room was sensational and we got to see the Northern Lights. The rooms are simple but clean and cosy. The best part was having dinner and being able to play records from the 3000+ record collection. What a treat! The food was yummy too and reasonably priced. The staff were all friendly. I would highly recommend staying here. It's a great base to explore the natural wonders nearby.
