Reviewed By GlynisHowgegoThe apartment we were moved to was nice and spacious, well equipped, nice view Arties is a nice town and a short drive up the mountain to the slopes. The initial room we were given (I asked for a quiet room) was VERY small, pokey and dark. It had no bath or balcony and the two single beds were separated with a bedside cabinet in the middle, albeit not far apart as the room was so small. Apparently the only other room available was a 2 bedroom on the second floor which was obviously more money. We had no choice but to pay extra although it was subsidised and she gave us parking under the building. I would have preferred a room like the ones advertised in the first place. They advertise a dressing room in the apartments. Neither room had a dressing room. Our new room was noisy. Arties is a busy town and this apartment block is on the main road. The glazing is not great. Cars pass on both roads all through the night. There is a knack to getting hot water which we managed by the end of the stay. Our kitchen sink smelt of rotting vegetables from time to time, the free car park they offer you is a main open car park 100 yards away. Their covered car park is 15€ a night. They have boot warmers but they were never on. The hairdryer they say is provided is not in the apartment but you can get one if you ask at reception. English wasn't spoken. We could have got Casa Irene for the same price we paid for the large apartment which is far superior. Only soap is provided

Reviewed By James WExcellent property, with attentive service from one and all. Short walk to the ski gondolas, and fun snow-shoeing trek to a nearby village. Amazing breakfast, included. And compared with CO or UT resorts, a definite value. Special shout-out to Andres de Lucio, a maitre 'd in the restaurants. Nothing better than receiving expert suggestions about dinner choices and a "special" wine, which turned out to be a terrific value as well as delicious. And another shout-out to Serge, who poured our GTs in the Bistro with aplomb!

Reviewed By phdebaereThe hotel could not be located better. Unfortunately, the quality of the breakfast and restaurant is rather poor. Also, the common areas where taken over by an unruly crowd of children from the next door apartments which made it impossible to enjoy a bit of quiet after a day of skiing.

Reviewed By Rob769We spent a week at the Tuc Blanc with extended family for a ski trip after 3 years away from the slopes ! The hotel is directly opposite the main ski lifts upto the mountain, has ground floor lockers and a ski hire facility and a shop in the lobby. A friendly bar with a nice sun terrace, small swimming pool and large restaurant . The rooms were very comfortable and our ‘superior’ room had a large modern bathroom. The thing that did it for us though was the efficiency of the staff , from the room cleaning, the restaurant staff, the chirpy bar staff and the efficient managers keeping everything on track. If you fancy hiring a car from Toulouse rather than getting a transfer, the drive is easy and the hotel has a car park. We loved skiing in Spain and the hotel Tuc Blanc is a very reasonably priced and excellently run hotel, we’d definitely consider returning !

We have several apartments in a private residential area in Baqueira Beret. You can enjoy a quiet home environment with astonishing mountain views.Each apartment can accomodate from 6 to 8 people. They have 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fully equiped kitchen, a living room overlooking the mountains and an indoor parking place. We are located at an altitude of 1.700 meters, in front of La pleta by Rafaelhoteles Hotel, just 300 meters away from sky slopes. Ski boutiques, coffee shops and pubs are 500 m awayWe offer daily free shuttle from the apartment to the sky slopes every 20 minutes.Wi-fi conexion is offered in the surrounded area and a 10% off in ski hire in the boutique 300 meters away.
AVOID: disgusting conditions + reeking of smoke.

Management contacted me privately and offered me a cheaper price to cancel and book directly so stupidly, we agreed. We rented a chalet for 6 days to spend the Christmas holiday with our 3 young daughters. We arrived to the accommodation in the evening and paid in full at the desk - still 550€ per night!!!! We walked in and it reeked of smoke. Literally every room was impossible to stand, like the previous renters chain-smoked in bed. I asked to change the chalet and even though it was advertised as non-smoking, my request was quickly turned down as everything was booked. As we had paid directly, we had no options. It was clearly not properly cleaned from the previous renters. The floor was so dirty my black socks had grey bottoms. The manager offered to clean the place the next day so we were forced to stay uncomfortably the night in the chalet. They came the next day and changed the curtains and bedding as they agreed. They certainly doused the place some horribly chemical spray to cover the smell, but 2 days after, due to the smoke being embedded in the pillows, couch, the mattresses it came back. It was Christmas so we just didn't want to spoil our holiday further by fighting with management. At the price we paid, we expected a luxurious accommodation but many things were filthy and unkept (dishes with dried food, walls with hand prints, dirty sponges in the kitchen), broken dishware or missing items (no blow dryer) - even old chewing gum on the balcony. But that was not the worst. On the last day, I was packing and the sheet had pulled back off the mattress. There was no mattress protector, and I saw the stains. I was almost sick at the sight. Fluid-drenched and dried. And looked as if it had been peed on, and dragged down the street. Obviously management and the cleaning staff is aware of the poor, unhygienic conditions, and this standard is acceptable for their guests. The manager ignored my request for a response to this matter. I wrote several times and his assistant said I was harassing them!! Do avoid this chalet at all cost.

The Hotel has 142 new rooms fully equipped. Its facilities also include a Spa with sauna, outdoor jacuzzi, Turkish bath, dinamic swimming pool, garage, ski storage, bar-cafe, reading room with fireplace, mini club, gym and facilities for meetings and conventions.

Reviewed By ana cA great hotel, with even better service. Every single person who attended us was kind and efficient. I’d like to highlight the amability of Daniel, our favorite waiter!!! He was always eager to help us with everything. On the other hand, as everybody says, the lifts can finish your patience: they are very very very slow. Also the spa is not really worth it, too many people go there at once and the establishment is quite a deception. IMPORTANT: do not rent skiing things in PROCENTER, even though the hotel gives you a 20% discount it’s still double of what you have to pay in any other shop, and you’ll get the same quality.
