Baguio, perched high in the Cordillera Central Mountains, is a great place to escape the heat of the Philippine lowlands. Camp John Hay, originally built as a recreation area for U.S. soldiers, now is a full-fledged resort complete with a world-class golf course. Definitely stop at the city market, where you can buy almost anything (just be prepared to haggle).

Swell place for meetings because of the ambience and the view. The grilled salmon for our teambuilding was also great. Had it for both lunch and dessert (yes, dessert). My only nitpick is the feel I got when I walked the halls of each floor (2nd and 3rd). The very identical room doors are right beside each other along the hallway stretch. Other than this, the hotel felt home-y.

Microtel Baguio is a 92- room hotel beside the modern Victory Liner Passenger. A bridge way connects the hotel to the bus terminal thus ensuring greater accessibility for the guests. It is the same great hotel everywhere you go with Microtel's consistency in cleanliness, comfort, safety and value. Of course, Microtel Baguio's service is further enhanced by the Filipino's warm sense of hospitality.
It was nice to return to Baguio and to be billeted at Microtel (which was very close to everything). I like that the breakfast buffet menu changes everyday; and that there are acrylic shields at the food trays.

Still staying at the hotel. Day one of the checkin the room key does not work after been twice down to the reception area lock not been fixed. Reception staff does not care even acknowledging the issue. Day 2 issue same issue not fixed over all the room and bathroom was so dirty with mould. See photos We have stayed many hotels in camp John bay and this is by far the worse one. Room moved was done by the team but look almost 3 PM to get the room sorted …. Bad service and after requesting multiple times to talk to the manger no response.. The team leader at the desk did her best but bad management who could have come out and acknowledge the issue.

although parking was limited, we're still able to secure a spot. the receptionist was almost asleep when we entered the small lobby. we didn't bring a lot of suitcases to carry, still, nobody offered to assist us to our room, which, by the way, was spacious and very neat. reasonably priced, our overnight stay was relaxing and peaceful. an electric fan added to the cool ventilation. breakfast was brought to our room upon request with an additional 100 pesos for service fee. we ate our meal in the balcony equipped with a small table & two chairs, overlooking quirino hill. you'll get your money's worth in this place.

Located at a prominent location at the top of Session Road, at the heart of Baguio City’s central business district, on a small 200 m² lot, the building is shaped to maximize daylight and natural ventilation, slowly tapering into light wells on the northern side.
Chic hotel across SM Baguio and a few steps from Session Road. I like this hotel. Still new and well maintained. The dark theme of the hallway is not to my liking though. The whole checkin experience was a breeze. The corner unit room has a weird shape but I dont mind. We did not include breakfast in our stay since we are always out of the hotel and we wanted to eat somewhere else.

Is your getaway place from the stresses of city life. Situated on a quiet area along Outlook Drive, 60 rooms was built around pine trees, offering a unique experience for guest to relax and commune with nature. Amenities includes a SPA, Fitness Center, Basement Parking, Mini Library, National Artist Gallery, and Garden, We also installed rain catchers and treatment facilities to make rain water usable. Rooms come in four categories and all come equipped with wifi cable TV Mini bar in room safe as well as room fan and air conditioning.
place is pretty and spacious, beds are big, food are sumptuous (both breakfast and those at the outlook resto), nice room view, walking distance from the mine's view park. we got the family room, the one with a loft and it seems clean until I lay down and noticed the dusty-smell beddings (perhaps it is the sheet, or the may be the cover). ignored it though because i feel like my bed is the only one smelling like that. but then, after the first night of no sleep, coupled with itchiness and rashes, and after seeing a bug in my bed, decided to ask the housekeeping to replace everything (hahahahaha). second night, was able to sleep peacefully.

This hotel is one of several hotels right next to the historic Burnham Park, and is very near to another hotel I reviewed on this very site, Inn Rocio. I recently stayed here for work. How do I feel about it? The room was reasonably comfortable, if a little small, and I didn't really like the fact that the closet for clothes was right next to the bed because it created some issues opening the closet door. Before the COVID-19 pandemic I wasn't very particular about things like this but nowadays it is important to me to be able to set aside clothes that have been exposed to the environment outside, so the fact that the closet is right next to the bed and difficult to open is a bit of a minus for me. The food is all right but not spectacular. There was a reasonable variety to the dishes served over the three days of my stay. Of course, I appreciated the free-flowing Benguet coffee at the conference room, as well as the very spacious venue, where social distancing was easy to implement. The best part, though, was how remarkably close the hotel was to every major location in Baguio City. Burnham City, Session Road and SM were all within walking distance, while all of the other major locations that I could think of, like Wright Park, the Botanical Gardens, the Baguio Mansion, Mines View Park, the Good Shepherd Convent, and Camp John Hay were all within driving distance, even for a person with a sense of direction as terrible as mine. As a staging point for a comprehensive tour of Baguio City, it's hard to do better than this. Just don't expect much by way of food though the desserts are pleasant and very affordable.

My review is based on 5 days/ 4 nights stay here. PROS: ✅ Cozy ambiance and spacious room ✅ Toiletries including slippers are available ✅ Daily supply of complimentary water, coffee and tea ✅ Reasonably priced hotel rate ✅ Accessible - walking distance to Burnham Park. Easy to get a cab. ✅ Luggage - they allowed to store our luggage upon check out since we had to wait for our travel time CONS: ⭕ Check in process takes time but reasonable due to number of guests and only one person is in front office ⭕ Breakfast - set breakfast during weekdays and buffet during weekends; That Little Cafe has good vibes yet nothing special on the food they serve. Missed those times when breakfast are being served in King Chef ? Hope they'll have an option to have breakfast there again ⭕ The noise is annoying - either the guests next room or the staff radio in full volume. We can hear any noise from outside the room, hope the hotel can do something about this. ⭕ No taxi waiting area - it's quite inconvenient to wait for taxi during rainy days. Hope they'll have a covered waiting area.

Perhaps one of the most selling point of this hotel is its location and affordable rate, and probably also the reason we choose it. Booking this hotel was a breeze and even got confirmation email, got assisted with making sure the tourist pass dates are same as with our check in and out date. We opted for a standard triple room located on the 4th floor but upon checking the room, it has no windows and the AC is not working well, one of my companion asked for a different room and they were able to get us a deluxe room on the 6th floor for an additional fee facing Maharlika Center. The room has a Queen bed and a Single bed with all your standard room amenities. Take note though as this room is facing a busy area tent to be a little noisy. The room comes with a free plated buffet breakfast with limited options from scrambled egg, tocino, tapa, and fish. Breakfast is not to be proud of; nothing fancy or even inviting. If you want just to fill your tummy then their breakfast is to go. By the way, if you opt to have your breakfast delivered to your room pay P30. There was a time when the remote control of the tv was not working a helpful man came in to have a new remote delivered. As for my friend who dealt with front then with the overall stay, he has no problem dealing with them as all his queries was attended. Overall, a no frills hotel, nothing fancy. If you just need a room to sleep and roam in the daytime, go here. Close to almost everything, Burnham, Night Market, Baguio Market to name a few has helpful people to deal with.
