No other choice than to accept available slot for the massage. Young noisely kids broke the supposed calm of the spa. Pitty because it is a fantastic place but the sales approach is not on the level of the 5*S

Reviewed By walleyemanWisconsinMy wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in late October. Lovely room overlooking the river. Excellent meals at in house restaurant(including salad bar). Staff was very accommodating and friendly. When my wife got sick the owner drove us to the local doctor's office. Close to train & bus station with free travel throughout area with Konus Card. Very reasonable rates. Will definitely stay again next time in Germany!

We had never experienced this before!

We had to wait a very long time at check-in after the owner had received us while there were no other guests at the desk, when we asked for our key we were almost snubbed. After at het breakfast my girlfriend was verbally insulted by the owner just because she didn't order fast enough! Afterwards the owner promised us that he would make it right but afterwards he acted as if nothing had happened.

Reviewed By Paula1314Loved this pension. The room, the terrace and the view were spectacular. The friendliness of the (I assume) owner was very much appreciated: it makes you feel at home. However, the language is German, which was not an issue for us, and there were no shower/bath soaps provided. This did not influence our stay but might be good to know!

Reviewed By Nesli_001We really enjoyed our stay here, the hosts were so nice and welcoming it almost felt like staying at home! The breakfast they served every morning was really good and tasteful. Room was very clean and we had a Mountain View from the balcony. This accommodation was also very close to the starting point of the Himmelssteig route, great to stay here if you are planning on exploring the Schwarzwald area.

Reviewed By Katy845Being a food lover has one drawback, you come to a point where you’ve tasted and tried so many different dishes that coming across something original gets more and more difficult. Thank goodness there is Hotel Restaurant Schuetzen, real traditional local German food made to a high standard. No nonsense, no frills just cooked to perfection. We truly enjoyed our meal. The team is great and makes everyone feel welcome. The rooms have lovely comfy beds and of course are spotless. Will recommend this place to all weary travelers on any mode of transportation.

It's a perfect house, but never a home.

If you've just come home from a day's skiing or driving through the Black Forest, you want to sit down and a have a nice wine while looking at the night sky, or cook a special meal for the occasion in the wonderful kitchen, but this place somehow just lacks the atmosphere to turn a comfortable stay into a truly pleasant one.

Very clean, everything one needs and the view from the windows is amazing. The owners, Fam. Glatz were, as it is typical for this region, extremely friendly and helpful. 5 stars well deserved!
