Everyone knows Aspen as a top-notch winter resort town. But outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy it in the summer, too, when the mountains become a perfect setting for hiking, biking and horseback tours. Some may be surprised to find it’s a top romance destination—but after all that outdoor exercise, who wouldn’t want to repair to a luxurious hotel room or a cozy, firelit bar?

This hip hotel, built on the site of the storied Limelite Lodge and Ski and Spur Bar, is a 5-minute walk from the Aspen Mountain ski lifts and a 6-minute walk from the Aspen Art Museum. Refined rooms and suites feature flat-screen TVs, iPod docks and Keurig coffeemakers. Deluxe rooms add wet bars and kitchenettes. Suites offer terraces, kitchens and living rooms. A resort fee covers Wi-Fi, airport/local/ski shuttle service, use of the fitness center, loaner bikes, ski lockers and continental breakfast. The hotel also features an outdoor pool, 2 hot tubs, a rooftop terrace, a lobby fireplace, and a lounge with live music and light fare.
The trip started poorly. For the best part of 30 mins we tried making contact with the front desk as we approached Aspen, but to no avail. You can buy more rooms from a central reservations desk, but no matter how many times we called and pressed options, nothing got us to the front desk. The hotel branding is awful. Like fruit salad. For a recently updated hotel, skimping on a brand agency was a massive miss. However, checkin was fast and friendly and before we knew it we were in a lovely, big room. My expectations were low and this was a really nice surprise. The bathroom is great (fantastic shower) and so is the bedroom. So much space for storage! I don't recall seeing an iron, which is a bit annoying. The TV remote was missing, and that was annoying because it was playing religious content and we wanted to go to sleep. Breakfast is nice, in the sense that it is included, but not particularly special. When I went, the coffee machine was broken and the coffee pots were empty. There is a gym, but I went four times and every time I did, the weights area was in use and not available to me. Looks like more investment in this area is required. Parking is $25 to self park (a day) and $5 to street park. Meh. The lift is slow and jerky. We had a fair amount of noise from the room next door. This woke us at 2am and kept us awake for a bit. WiFi is great. Location is the best in all of Aspen in my view. So, a mixed scorecard. Will consider next time but also look around some.

Hotel Jerome has been the social hub of Aspen since its opening in 1889 at the height of the town's silver boom, known as the place where all great stories were born and are told. As the only Aspen hotel to survive the silver crash, the long pre-ski-resort winters, and the Depression, we've seen cowboys ride through our doors, 10th Mountain Division soldiers gather round over pints after training on the slopes, and Hunter S. Thompson holding court during his run for sheriff. You can't experience Aspen, without experiencing Jerome.
Excellent high end lodging experience. Super location. Incredible staff. We stayed 3 nights with Ethel, our black lab. We stayed in the historical section of the Hotel. The Jerome was very accommodating for our family dog. She already wants to return!

This chic ski-in/ski-out resort on Aspen Mountain is at the base of the Silver Queen Gondola and 2 minutes' walk from Aspen Art Museum. Stylish, contemporary rooms and suites come with fireplaces, marble bathrooms, flat-screen TVs with Blu-ray players, iPod docks, and balconies with city or mountain views. Suites add Jacuzzis or steam showers. In-room snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are free, as is Wi-Fi. There's a posh restaurant and an informal tavern, plus 3 bars. A resort fee covers airport, in-town and ski shuttle transfers, as well as a ski concierge, a spa, kids' activities, seasonal loaner bikes, and an outdoor pool and hot tub.
Amazing stay. Exceeded all expectations. Hotel staff went above and beyond. Incredible location, food, room service, responsiveness from staff. Hotel just went above and beyond to make sure we had an incredible stay. Highly recommend, and we cannot wait to return soon.

The newly renovated Inn at Aspen Hotel is the only ski-in, ski-out hotel at the base of the Buttermilk Ski Resort (home of the Winter X Games). The free guest shuttle will take you to/from Aspen (2 miles away), and the Aspen airport. There's an onsite restaurant, Home Team BBQ, serving breakfast, lunch, apres ski and dinner; free wireless Internet, heated outdoor pool, hot tub, sauna, health club, and courtesy airport shuttle.
The hotel is conveniently located just about 5+ minutes from downtown Aspen, which makes a good base to visit this area. The exterior looks somewhat depressing, especially in the back where the parking area is. Inside there is lots of work going on right now, apparently some renovation on many of the rooms so there are construction materials in the hallways & everywhere, certainly not a sight to behold. Our room (#2267) is clean and reasonably pleasant, except for the bathroom sink and the way it is built that makes it hard to wash hands without splashing water everywhere. Staff could not care less who comes and goes, particularly a proper greeting when you try to check in. There is a BBQ restaurant on site, so the smell of BBQ is everywhere in the building. We did have a quick bite at the restaurant on site, which appears to be well run. Not sure about high season here but a visit during this time (off ski season) did not leave much of a lasting positive impression. The location & price are relatively good value for this expensive area.

stayed for business. The location is great, but we are talking about a small city, so everything is close. I got a room facing the pool. This has a small indoor room looking into the pool. (sort of hard to explain) Which the hot tub was heated... it was not

Embrace the extraordinary at The St. Regis Aspen Resort, a five-star luxury destination nestled at the base of Aspen Mountain. From our hotel's enviable vantage point, guests can enjoy world-class skiing or stroll over to historic Aspen, where luxury boutiques and charming restaurants beckon. Remède Spa, our award-winning wellness destination, is renowned as one of the world's premier hotel spas, while our heated outdoor pool and hot tubs overlook stunning Aspen Mountain.
This is the first TripAdvisor review I have ever felt compelled to write and its because the St. Regis Aspen staff helped me create the amazing memory of proposing to my Fiancé. I want to take a moment and thank the amazing effort by Stephanie Madrid and the concierge team who helped me plan an engagement I could have never done myself. Stephanie helped me plan my proposal at the amazing Maroon Bells State Park as well as the reservation as Betula Aspen after. Upon returning to the room, Stephanie had coordinated a romantic turndown service with roses and a warm tub for my Fiancé as well as a handwritten congratulations and a bottle of champagne. Throughout the weekend, the entire staff was attentive and accommodating to all my requests to plan my "fairy-tale" engagement. I would say this was "enough" for an engagement, but there are a few more individuals I need to specifically thank. Lexa Chase at the Remede spa made booking a treatment for my Fiancé simple. Lexa continued to follow-up and provide communication after my booking was complete. While my Fiancé was using the spa, the Remede staff treated me to the spa ammentities; including steam room, hot-tub, cold-tub and oxygen bar. I need to give a special thank you to Jamari in the Remede spa for providing the highest level of customer service and professionalism. To us, the St. Regis Aspen is a special place because of our engagement. Because of the amazing experience we had due to the above we are planning to make our stay at the St. Regis Aspen an annual tradition. Really, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for making our engagement weekend the memory of a lifetime.

We had a very nice stay. The lodge is cosy and the staff is very friendly. The location is also very convenient. The basic breakfast with bagels, danishes, boiled eggs, and fruits is adequate. The lodge also offers wine late afternoon. We will be back, but ask for a room facing the swimming pool!

I contacted them several times via phone and left at least two voicemail messages regarding booking several condos but no one has responded. I called the front desk and asked for the name, email address, and phone of the right person to contact regarding a group reservation. I was given a lady's name. I called the lady and her greeting stated that she had left the company two weeks earlier with no recommended person to call. I called the front desk again and explained the situation and was given a different name and email address (for Brad). I wrote to Brad twice but have received no response. Either they don't care or they are really disorganized. Don't expect good service or communication from this company.

As one of the only Alpine Escapes in North America, W Aspen is poised to carve out a new era of luxury. You'll find our hotel nestled at the base of one of the world's most fabled mountains in Aspen, Colorado, with access to all of its coveted slopes and trails - plus stunning 360° mountain views and striking architectural and interior design. Discover a bold point of view in this iconic town and enjoy a year-round pass to sky-high adventure.
I have stayed at many W hotels and they never seem to disappoint, for sure they delivered at the W in Aspen. The hotel offers completely rides to/from the airport and throughout town in a few nice BMW X5’s. We never had to wait long for a ride anywhere. The hotel was over sold and we tried to get an upgrade with no luck and we’re concerned about the roll from a few other reviews. They were wrong, we had the room with 2 queens and one was elevated. This set up made the roll feel more spacious. The room itself had modern decor, plenty of storage in the closets and the signature heavenly W beds. There is a nice Lavazza coffee machine in the closet and they have a small refrigerator if you need it. Some reviews complained of lack of space, I was traveling with a friend and we had plenty of room for all of our stuff. They have a DJ every afternoon in the bar on the second floor. This place was not busy during the week, it seems like only on Fridays and Saturday’s, but on those days it was a good crowd for Apres ski. We did eat here and the burger and Mahi was solid. They also have a good breakfast. On the roof they have a good sized hot tub and heated pool. There is a heated towel cabinet but no where to really put your stuff so you have to run from the bar where you dropped your stuff to the tub. The tub faces the mountains and you get a great view on a clear night. The bar is closed in the winter but I would suspect it’s a cool spot in the warmer months. The location is also great. If your skiing Ajax there is a small path you can take and walk right to the gondola. Across the street there is a market and pharmacy, you can also walk just about anywhere from here. The W delivers in all the right places! Next time I’m in Aspen I will be returning

You really are in the best zone of Aspen for at least half of the money that other hotels in the area charge. The front desk service was very warm, the parking is very appreciated and the food variety in the breakfast was a great surprise. The rooms are small and kind of noisy but the bathtub and comfortableness of the beds are the highlights of the room. I would've thought this establishment was excellent if they had an "hotel safe" or some sort of luggage room to store your things for a couple of hours after you check-out.
