Clearn rustic room in a smaller family owned agriturismo. Farm animals on the property where a bonus as it was fun to check in on the rabbits, pony and donkey everyday. Room was clean and the breakfast was very good. They specially made me farm fresh eggs with home made pancetta when requested. About 5 minute drive to downtown and Lake Bracciano. Very relaxing five nights. We weren't able to connect to wifi, and the phone reception was spotty for me in this area. The host family was very kind and friendly.

The Hotel Massimino has 24 recently restored rooms. Provided with every comforts: bathroom and hairdryer, satellite link up tv color with 6 sky channels, telephone, air-conditioning. All type of accommodation available: single room, double room, triple room or suite for families.
I knew the hotel manager for some time, yet on leaving a casa to pick up after a stay, I was told by phone that they threw it away. I lost a broach of my late mother, documenti, photos that cannot be replaced, clothes and boots. I am still under shock. Elise Floriana Leto

The Villa in the Park is a nice B&B in Anguillara Sabazia, near Rome and Vaticano, immersed in the forest of the Regional Park of the two lakes Bracciano and Martignano and it is located just on the Bracciano lake shore, with free private beach, canoe and pedal boat. The B&B has two bedrooms, both with private bathroom (one with sauna too) and windows with panoramic view on the garden of the B&B and over the lake of Bracciano. Domus Angularia is surrounded by the greenery of the Bracciano-Martignano "parco naturale" (protected area), is only a few kilometres from Rome, in the old quarter of Anguillara, and has a wonderful view of the gentle waters of Lake Bracciano. DOMUS ANGULARIA has three welcoming bedrooms and is distinguished by its warmth, friendliness and attention to the local traditions and characteristics.Looking forward to seeing you!
We have just returned home after 7 days in Anguillara, we’ve left a piece of our hearts there. I can’t recommend this beautiful B&B enough. From the moment we arrived and Veronica introduced herself, we knew we were going to have a wonderful stay. Veronica is one of the nicest people I have ever met. She was warm, welcoming and so friendly but not in anyway over the top. She welcomed us into her home with kindness and professionalism. Breakfast was varied every morning and her cappuccinos were the perfect start to the day. We had the room which leads to the terrace and even though this is a shared terrace, it did not cause a problem, we waited for the other guests to enjoy their breakfast before going for ours. Trust me, the view is breathtaking, starting g the day with the view over the little town and across the Lake was just perfect and we are missing it already. The room is lovely and clean, very homely and has everything you need including air conditioning and a small hairdryer. Plenty of storage space. The bathroom is clean and the shower was perfect, a little small but still perfect. Guests can use the kitchen and all appliances if they want to which was great as we didn’t want to eat out every night. The town itself is typically Italian, very few British tourists, lots of Italians visit so if you want McDonald’s and english food, with English bars then this isn’t the place for you. If however you wan to experience Italy, then it really is the ideal place to visit. Getting to Rome is very easy by train and very cheap. We have already booked to visit again in March for our wedding anniversary, next year and we have never done that before. Veronica made this much needed holiday even more perfect that we could have imagined. It was as if she was an old friend, I really can’t praise her or the B&B enough. Some people have commented that the view bought tears to their eyes when they see it for the first time, I totally understand why, however, I cried when we left.....we’d had a perfect holiday with the perfect host, perfect view, perfect location. A little bit of our hearts have been left behind. Thank you Veronica, for everything and see you in March xxx

Just attended a wedding in Anguillara Sabazia and stayed at Le Colline for 4 nights. For anyone thinking of staying in Anguillara, it’s a town with a slightly unconventional layout, being not particularly wide, but stretching a good 3 miles in length from the lakeside back down to the station. Getting from A to B then can involve some lengthy walks, because Anguillara has no taxi service (the nearest taxi firm is based in Bracciano 5 or 6 miles away), and although Anguillara is easy to reach from Rome (Roma Trastevere station) by train, it’s difficult to get around without a hire car once you’re there. The same goes then for Le Colline B&B, which is about a mile and a half to the East of Anguillara’s lakeside centre down an unlit, yet extremely busy - in terms of traffic - country lane. We arrived at the train station expecting to just get a taxi to Le Colline, only to find there were none, which is where Flavio, the owner of Le Colline, came into play. He picked us up from the station, he took us back there 4 days later at 6 o’clock in the morning, and gave us lifts into Anguillara on 4 or 5 other occasions, including a lengthy visit to the bank. In short he was one of the most hospitable hosts I’ve ever come across. Le Colline itself is a lovely place to stay if you’re looking for a quiet retreat. It’s clean, it’s spacious, it has a very nice swimming pool and free wifi, and lovely views of the Italian countryside. The only real letdown was breakfast, which is somewhat limited and heavy on the sugar. Crostini toast, jams, cereals, packaged croissants and a cocoa based cake, and no kettle (water for tea had to be microwaved). It really needed some cheese, ham and fresh bread or something. For lunch and dinner you have to go into Anguillara. We walked it several times (Flávio would have taken us every time, but we didn’t want to impose any more than we already had), but it can be a bit hairy because of the surprisingly high number of cars using what is essentially a country lane, and once the sun goes down that walk is even less appealing, because you can’t see! If you have a hire car though, I would highly recommend Le Colline as a place to stay

Laura at reception was so calm, kind, understanding, and helpful. This business is run with Western service standards, not Italian. I really do encourage you to use this place. Toilets and showers are exceptionally clean for a campsite, too. Own private beach. Really, great. Thanks!

This B & B was located in a part of Italy previously unknown to me or my travel. We saw the photos online and blindly made our reservations after the proprietor, Federico, assured us they could provide two beds in the preferred matrimonial suite with a small balcony overlooking Lake Bracciano. While I hoped the accommodations could be as wonderful as presented online, I was prepared to be a little disappointed once we arrived despite the fact that Federico’s English was perfect in our emails and the price seemed quite reasonable. Prior to arriving in the quiet town of Anguillara, we had been touring Sardinia for 11 days and were looking forward to a peaceful respite. When we caught the train from Rome, we were prepared to seek out the bus into town upon our arrival in Anguillara. To our surprise and amazement, Federico appeared at the station and quietly called our names. He had taken time out of his busy day to drive us to the B & B and once there proceeded to familiarize us with the accommodations and nearby breakfast bar. During our stay, Federico anticipated and met our every need: information about the bus and train to Bracciano, where to catch the bus to Trevignano, places to eat other than his family’s restaurant (La Nepitella de Martini Federico), etc. When he was unable to drive us (and our luggage) back to the train station himself, he arranged for his mom to take us. At the end, we realized our accommodations had been everything we had hoped for and more. Anyone who wants to spend some time anywhere near Lake Bracciano should definitely consider staying in this wonderful B & B and getting to know Federico. It’s a stone’s throw from the lake and as wonderful as the online photos suggest.

Three and a half stars.... Its a good location on the rural edge of Anguillara Sabazia (note that there is a non-rural edge to the town, heading out towards the railway station) but quite a long walk/ drive down to the old town. This property is a small holding with guest accommodation in a separate half of the main house. Downstairs is a lounge/ breakfast area with kitchen facilities, a library/ study area and a bedroom. Upstairs are two further bedrooms, both reasonably spacious despite a sloping roof. There is a flat screen TV, free efficient WiFi and good clothes hanging facilities. The bathrooms are well equipped with bath and shower and the accommodation is clean. Hot water was from a combi boiler and, as is so often the case with these, the performance was poor. The garden area around the house itself is pleasant and well kept with a lawn area with barbeque facilities and chairs/ tables. Further afield, there are sheds, lean-to structures and aviaries which are less picturesque but not out of keeping with a small farm. Breakfasts were set-out reasonably early in the morning with coffee in flasks, toasts and preserves, cake, yoghurt, muesli etc. The house dog is friendly.
