Reviewed By dpsimagesStay away from here, what you save in Euros you'll spend in aggravation. I don't expect much from a budget hotel except a decent room, hot water and reasonable service. The room was ok if you don't need a shower you can turn around in, but what really upset us was not only a lack of hot water when we came back late at night but the response of the manager who "reminded" me that it is now sleeping time before he hung up the phone on me. Even worse was the following day after the cleaner decided to throw away a bag of our snacks without bothering to ask, and then the same manager who decided it was our fault for leaving it in the room and then was surprised when he asked if we still wanted it after he pulled it from the trash.

There have been different owners, now it's Goelia and they're working on a renovation - it draws well (remember wifi - it's important). But the most important thing is to highlight the serious and very helpful staff. They are fighting well to service us, but think they should be more people for the task. We already have plans to come back again next year. So we look forward to being back and meeting wonderful and positive employees. Be careful until then - see you next year. Best Regards Kaj Ove

Reviewed By collierjeAbsolutely top notch wine b&b. High points - service, porch, ease of travel in the region, and plenty of restaurants for dinner. Don’t miss out on their wines - very good prices and excellent quality. All in all, this is a perfect base for the wine road since they have ample, easy access parking, and are in the middle of everything.

Reviewed By 974emanuelmWunderschönes B&B der Oberklasse in einem historischen Haus. Das ganze Haus ist extrem geschmackvoll im Vintage-Stil eingerichtet. Wir hatten das Zimmer Sommerberg. Es ist wirklich riesig mit altem Deckengebälk. Dazu ein sehr schönes Bad mit grosser Dusche, alles stilvoll eingerichtet. Direkt vor dem Zimmer hatte es eine Art Lounge, wo man sich mit Mineralwasser bedienen oder Tee und Kaffee kochen konnte. Die Vermieter sind überhaus herzlich und haben uns ein geniales Frühstück serviert. Käse und Charcuterie vom feinsten, selbstgemachte Konfitüre, frische Eierspeisen und super gutes Brot. Am letzten Morgen gab es sogar selbst gebackenen Gugelhopf. Der Haushund Syrah ist übrigens ein absoluter Goldschatz! Der Preis ist eher hoch, aber durch die Qualität der Unterkunft in Ordnung. Ammerschwihr ist ein eher ruhiges (aber sehr hübsches) Dorf, Colmar, Kaysersberg, Riquewihr etc. liegen praktisch vor der Haustür.

Though the Gaertner family has given up on the Michelin dance, that is, no stars, I knew the kitchen had been renowned for more than 50 years, from father to son. My wife and I dined here last night. It was a dream from my "star hunting" in France nearly a generation ago. The warmth of the dining rooms (2) are from another era; warm, walnut panelling, Art Deco sconces, furniture from another period, all a far cry from the ultra modern look so much in favor! The service fit with the decor; classic. The meal, well, just out of this world! The tomato tart tastes far better than the photo which is amazing. The Atlantic lobster gratin with white asparagus will forever have "three stars" in my book. The sole with homemade noodles au gratin was as perfect as it can get. The wine was a grand cru gerwitrztraminer by Jean-Baptiste Adam, 2015, from Ammerschwihr. The apartment was spacious, well-appointed, modern and very comfortable. The bill was a "gift" in comparison to the grand hotels, and few of those have a kitchen and dining to match this level.

Reviewed By gamin08Nous avons louer 2 chambres, une pour moi et mon épouse et l'autre pour nos deux filles, dès notre arrivée nous avons été accueillis par Julien et Marie, qui nous ont tout de suite à mis l'aise, à savoir que pour nous c'était une première en chambres d'hôtes... Nous avons été chouchouter pendant nos 8 jours de vacances, Julien et Marie sont des personnes formidable, ils sont toujours là pour nous conseiller sur une bonne table et excursions. Je recommande fortement cette maison, vous vous y sentirez comme chez vous

Gros problème d'isolation phonique, nous nous sommes retrouvés au rez de chaussée avec un enfant de 2 ans qui galopait allégrement à l'étage, résultat le lendemain debout à 8h !!. Pour faire nos bagages et écourter notre séjour. Inadmissible car le responsable ne pouvait l'ignorer. Il n'a d'ailleurs pas eu le courage de nous rappeler après notre message.
