Good size room and friendly staff. Room serviced daily. Located on the edge of the town within walking distance of the beach and other amenities. Also close to the main road. Restaurant not so wonderful-breakfast a little limp with Luke warm food. Carvery less than average and expensive -wait about 20 minutes. Did have a good sandwich mid afternoon so not all bad! The hotel serves its purpose and is better than some of the other Inns I’ve stayed at!

We have passed this place loads of times and have always meant to call in for a look. This Sunday we finally did call for lunch and we were more than happy that we did. Very friendly service and the whole place was clean and tidy. Altough limited in choices, the food came quickly was well cooked and was piping hot. The beer was well kept also. Overall excellent value for money a lot cheaper than some near by venues. we plan to be back to try the evening menu soon.

Our rooms each have a personal touch with luxury bedding and big soft pillows that you can sink your head in to. Our aim is to provide a cosy, friendly relaxed atmosphere where our guests can feel perfectly at home and will want to return again and again. The hotel is an ideal base for those wishing to explore Alnwick, Alnmouth, Warkworth and the Northumberland Coast. Excellent restaurant & bar serving locally sourced food.
We stayed for 4 nights at the beginning of June. The hotel is lovely and the staff so friendly and helpful. My partner arranged this as a surprise for my special birthday and the staff couldn't do enough to make any arrangements he requested and offered to help. The menu is extensive and the meals of an excellent quality. Only complaint was the heat in the room and the bed was a little hard for us. the noise from the traffic but appreciate nothing can be done as its on the main road in Warkworth. Big cheer for all the staff at the hotel Would definitely return

Stayed for 5 nights. The hotel was basically OK. The room was tiny but well enough equipped, if a little dated in the decor. Good wi-fi, although the mattress was a bit on the lumpy side and the duvet very thin and small. Staff are sometimes hard to find - reception is rarely manned, and you have to encourage the bar man to leave the bar when you check in. Also, sometimes finding a staff member at breakfast time can be challenging. Breakfast is REALLY early - not what you want on a relaxing holiday. Breakfast choice is good and plentiful, if a little over cooked. Only ate in the pub once - found far better food in the other pubs in town. Also they don’t offer room service (a bit off-putting if you are still a little covid-nervous about busy pubs) or a room tab. And £10 for a gin-and-tonic is daylight robbery. Plenty of parking, but you have to climb over rubble if you use the side stairs to get to the front door.

Fairfield House is a lovely Victorian property located on the edge of the picturesque village of Warkworth.
First came in Oct 2020 as our mini honeymoon. We returned this Oct to celebrate our first anniversary. Last year was undoubtedly an horrendous time for the hospitality industry. HOWEVER, Mandy did not falter and provided us with exceptional hospitality and an immaculate setting. So impressed were we that we booked to come back. We’ve made 2 more bookings for this year! Wonderful hosting. Spectacular food. Immaculate surroundings. Beautiful area. Impossible to suggest improvements!!! Mandy, you’re amazing!

Absolutely brilliant stay. The room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was superb quality with plenty of choice. Location is ideal in the centre of the village. Though there’s not a car park we had no problems with finding parking. Will definitely stay here again.

A Bed and Breakfast, bar and restaurant situated in the picturesque harbour village of Amble. Ideally situated for trips to Seahouses, Bamburgh Castle and Alnwick Castle and Gardens.
Called today for Sunday Lunch , I did a bit of TripAdvisor research last night and booked a table online. Nice little hours drive up , called at Blagdon farm shop on the way , an hour round the market at Amble Harbour then off to the Wellwood for lunch . I really like making my own choices at a carvery and this was the main reason I chose this pub . I wasn't disappointed either , quality of the beef and gammon was excellent, veg was cooked to perfection and the sticky toffee pud was fantastic. Very highly recommended, staff were all lovely as well !
