The Bulls Head Hotel and Pub in Hale Barns is the perfect place to meet, drink and stay for couples, families and business people visiting the leafy suburbs of South Manchester. The Bulls Head team offer exceptional menus and accommodation for anyone visiting Altrincham or nearby Knutsford & Wilmslow. Despite being just two minutes from J6 of the M56 and five minutes from Manchester Airport, our pub’s tranquil, relaxing vibe is topped off with a wonderful Beer Garden. To be honest, the only people who don’t like our hotel’s location are the airport’s taxi drivers.
From the minute we checked in our welcome was lovely and easy, the room was clean and stylish, very comfortable. We were made to feel very welcome in the pub, easy to book for dinner the food was okay just normal pub food but again our server was smashing. Breakfast was delicious. We slept well and the shower was lovely and powerful. Recommended booking. Thanks for a lovely stay wonderful start to our holiday.

Ash Farm Country Guest House perfectly situated in Cheshire only 10 miles from Manchester and 6 miles from Manchester International Airport. Beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms with either a bath or power shower, tea/coffee making facility, colour TV and freeview, wireless internet, hairdryer, trouser press, iron and bath robes plus complimentary toiletries. All bedrooms enhanced by stunning views over National Trust countryside. Residents lounge and breakfast room where we serve full English local produce breakfast of your choice - both rooms with open log fires. Within 5 minutes walking distance to two country pubs also Dunham Massey Hall and Park and Bridgewater Canal. Ample parking for guests (leave your car when departing from the airport - local taxi pounds 14.00 one way). All major credit cards accepted.
A lovely rural location, with a fully authentic feel and absolute silence at night. However, the bathroom is not authentic, but modern. The one problem is that the postcode can send you to a remote carpark across a bridge. Use Park Lane or the pub next door, Swann with two Nicks, to get to the address.

With the Metrolink and train only five minutes up the road and the A56 on your doorstep, Premier Inn Manchester Altrincham puts you in prime position for all of Manchester's attractions. Whiz into the city centre for your business meeting or shopping at the Trafford Centre. Be Lord (or Lady) of the Manor at stately Tatton Park. Hit the greens at Dunham Forest Golf Club. Then return to this friendly market town and our on-site Table Table restaurant, welcoming rooms and big, comfy beds.
We found the staff to be very friendly and on hand to deal with any issues. We were allocated a room with a low beam and we were giving a different room once we said we weren't happy with it. The radiators were on in the corridors which meant the hallways were super hot. The room was pretty stuffy too. Cleaning could have been better, cobwebs and dusty looking corners... Our TV didn't work - not a big deal as we were just in and out as we were going to a house party, but was a bit annoying It's an old building so one should make certain allowances, but the standard of decor made it the most tired looking Premier Inn I've ever stayed in... sad really.

The perfect antidote to chain hotels. You need to drive a little way off the main roads to get here, but the journey is well worth the effort. Don't rush up the cobbled driveway to the house, but take in the farmyard cowshed as you park up at the old farmhouse. Lovely rooms with comfortable beds and en suite facilities. To top it off the English breakfast is excellent. Good local pub less than a 5 minute drive away, and the town of Hale about the same distance again. All in all a far better experience than a soulless experience in a chain hotel at 2 to 3 times the price. Central Manchester a 35 minute drive, depending on the traffic. I really enjoyed the whole experience of staying here and the wonderful hospitality of the owners. Do yourself a favour and give the Birtles farmhouse a visit.

The bar is well presented. A Clean and lovely place to meet. Friendl, welcoming owner/staff. Good service. However the hotel quarters need updating, which are due for an upgrade shortly. Would recommend.

OAKCROFT Manchester Airport is a guesthouse located close to Manchester Airport , 2 mins from all the terminals. We are also located directly off the M56 making access in and out of Manchester easy. The rooms are all ensuite, with two large family rooms all equipped with a fridge, high-speed wifi and flat screen TVS (all sky channels available). There are also a selection of free hot drinks in all rooms. Large kitchen available all day for residents to help themselves with breakfast and use the facilities in there ( fridge/freezer, microwave, gas cooker oven ).
I shall begin by saying if I could actually give a native rating, it would be minus 5, this establishment is lucky to get one. I initially booked Oakcroft guest house via booking.com and it seemed okay, with average reviews. My plans changed and so I decided to add an extra night, arriving one day earlier, and I tried contacting the property direct to see if this was possible. I was put through to a call handler from a company called OYO, he offered me the additional night cheaper than Booking.com and so I took the deal. This meant I now had two separate bookings for the same room for separate nights. 25th April through to 27th April 2022. The hackney cab from the train station at Manchester airport cost me £10.00 (remember this figure). I was dropped off and I was notified by email that it was a self check in, but I had to telephone the number on the table by reception. I made the call, and I was told I was in room 8 upstairs, and my room key was behind the door. As I made my way upstairs I witnessed green Laundry bags scattered around the top floor, it was obvious the rooms were being changed over. I saw a tall lady wearing socks, (no footwear) with 3/4 length tracksuit bottoms, a hoodie, enter my room and so I walked to the door and knocked, followed by the standard "hello" and there was no reply/. I knocked again, and again saying "hello". The lady I had seen enter the room walked straight by me from the bathroom area to the bed which was still being made, and again I said "hello". It was at this stage I thought she had headphones on under the hoodie because she never once replied and continued to make the bed. I proceed to lean down towards the floor and waived at her again saying "hello" to which she looked up at me and said "do not talk to me white boy, I am not your friend!" Now, correct me if I am wrong, put the shoe on the other foot, I would be locked up!! I said " how dare you racially insult me, I am out of here" I think telephoned the same number I used to check in, and I informed the chap on the end of the phone about what had just happened and I said I wanted to leave with a full refund, and all he could say was, "yeah okay", no apology whatsoever. I went down the stairs to the main entrance and on the wall was a telephone number for Scotts-Cars, a private hire taxi company and on the wall, the tariffs they charge to take you to certain destinations, Manchester Airport train station being one of these. The cost £15.00, £5.00 more than the hackney. As I was on the phone ordering the taxi, the tall racist lady walk up to me and handed me her mobile phone with a nice long message that she had translated into English. This time, she called me blonde boy, and repeated I was not her friend and I was not to speak to her. So now I have just been racially abused twice in the space of 3 minutes by the same person. I then went onto topcashback, logged into booking.com, and booked the Clayton Hotel for the 2 nights I needed. The taxi driver who took me to the Clayton from Oakcroft house, which is located on Hasty lane I may pint out, informed me the charge was £18.00, £8.00 more than the hackney cab to cover the same distance. After I checked in to the Clayton, I called OYO and explained the sitfutaiuon, I was informed that a supervisor would call me back either that day, or the next day, well, it has been a month ands I am STILL waiting for OYO, the worlds fastest growing hotel chain to call me back!! I have always given a fair review of my stays, experiences, but never have I ever been treated like this in my own country. I strongly advise you not to stay here, and if OYO want to contest this review, I have all of the booking details, and I have the refund for the direct OYO booking I made.

The Britannia Ashley Hotel is a modern, comfortable boutique hotel located in a prime location - the village of Hale. 67 cozy rooms, a mouthwatering selection of meals and the friendliest staff await you at the Ashley.
Well where do I begin, not a great first impression of the hotel , main foyer area was dirty with only steps to get down to the reception area, main reception area was quite dirty and the receptionist was trying to serve on the bar at the same time, again we had to walk up steps to get to the lift to get to our room luckily we are both able-bodied and was able to do this if you were disabled you had no chance, we finally got to our room and I’m not sure how to describe it apart from filthy from top to bottom, there were large chunks of plaster missing from the walls random marks over every wall, large areas of mould and rust in the only window (which didn’t open) there was a seat to sit down and it was really rickety and we didn’t feel comfortable to sit on it, The TV was unbelievably small, The mattress was lumpy and you could feel the springs plus it was really noisy getting on and off it, The toilet seat is broken so every time you sat down it shifted and moved, The showerhead wasn’t fixed so when you had a shower you had to hold showerhead otherwise it just randomly sprayed everywhere also the shower leaked from the main pipe meaning that water went onto the floor, I think the worst thing though was there was no ventilation so it was absolutely humid and hot all the time, wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy and absolutely filthy hotel and will never stay here again, we did make our feelings known to the reception staff when we left but they didn’t seem surprised at all and just said ‘there was nothing they could do’
