Nice decoration but owners not very helpful
Reviewed By Rita GI stayed with my partner for a ski weekend in this hotel. The room was average level and small, the breakfast was good, the restaurant is great but the owner is not helpful. On the middle of the night, we heard noise from the room, I found out that it was the voice of the owners having dinner downstairs, when I asked them to speak with a lower voice, they answered in a funny way, the noise though stopped then. The place where to let the skis is not easy for access and they don`t allow letting the skis in the rooms.

Lovely overnight stay
Reviewed By Sally SWe found Hotel du Hameau to be very nice, great location to town which is about 10/15 mins walk away so you are not in the middle of it all. You can easily drive/walk into town to hire ski stuff if required and get your ski pass or if you have your equipment there are more car parks further up the road which are less busy and ideally located with a short walk to the piste, where you can buy your ski passes. The hotel we found to be full of character, clean and not noisy. We had a room on the 3rd floor with a view of the mountains which was lovely. We had dinner in the hotel and found the food to be very good together with the service. Overall a very nice stay and would highly recommend. Be warned if using Booking.com as we did not get the best deal, so would highly recommend phoning the hotel direct. Booking.com would have you believe they are selling you the 'last room' available, maybe on their site but the hotel was less than half full and we could have certainly got a better price with booking direct.

Very disapointing
Reviewed By Toons7275having a property in Allos, we have recommended this hotel to our family for a short winter break (rental of 3 bedrooms, 10 persons, between Christmas and New year celebration. Due to Covid issue (one of the kid of the group), trip has been cancelled the day of arrival. We have shared and explained the issue to the hotel, and requested for a report of the nights, even in a less touristic period. It has been refused by the hotel manager. Worst, the hotel admit that booked rooms was rented (all of them). This is really unfair to not have compensated at least a part of the rooms that was anyway not lost for the hotel.

Reviewed By Bard1963Views and location in the Alps are fantastic. Staff were friendly. Rooms were basic and small-ish, but comfortable. The restaurant was pretty good, but not a lot of choice if you don't like fondue.

Reviewed By Charles SMy girlfriend and I went there for only one night and it is a marvellous site! The food was very good with a great diversity. The room is very correct for the price! And the must was the conviviality with the people and the friendship with the 'petanque' as well as drinks. I definitely recommend this place!! Cheers. C.

Reviewed By jpdski1Clean comfortable rooms but they do look rather dated compared to other ski resort guest houses. The staff are lovely that run this place. There isn't a lot to do besides stay in the hotel on an evening. If you're looking for a good time you're probably better off staying in la foux.
