Offically registered board failte irish tourist board listed 5 Star B+B verfied and inspected
This small B&B offers much more than the conventional Irish B&B (nothing wrong with them). The hosts are gregarious and engaging and made every effort to make us feel like we were the most important guests they ever had, The rooms are luxurious and well worth the reasonable cost. There is flair and oppulance with comfort and cozy...a difficult thing to pull off...but they did so. The bath facilities are sleek, modern and enticing...even a sauna. The breakfast is way more than the traditional full Irish with many options. The highlight for me was the porridge...it is worth the trip just for that. It was the best I have ever eaten. The rest is as good. These owners know how to treat their guests and it was in the top tier of the plkaces I have ever stayed (many...many) in Ireland.

Our family run guesthouse offers luxury accommodation, a welcome retreat after a day of activity. Relax and prepare for the evening where you can sample local cuisine in one of the many restaurants within walking distance of Stella Maris, or join in with some of the traditional music in one of the local bars.
There aren't enough superlatives to use on how wonderful this place is. We had the Junior Suite with an amazing view of the sea and the mountains. En-suite bathroom, tea and coffee, TV with remote and Netflix. Breakfast in the morning was great, cooked-to-order, along with a buffet table of breads, juices and the like. Located in the village of Keel, the house is on the beach, and has its own access to the beach (which btw is over three miles long!). Two pubs and two restaurants are within a 2-4 minute walk. All the sights on Achill are within a ten-minute drive. Magnificent scenery on the Wild Atlantic Way drives. There is plenty of walking and hiking opportunity for all levels. Clodagh and family are super people! Negative: there is only one ATM on Achill Island and it's in the town at the bridge to the mainland. It's only a ten minute drive, (one way), and a bit inconvenient, but this is just nitpicking the location.

Just returned from a two night stay here and to say that we were disgusted is putting it mildly, the hotel is absolutely filthy inside and out with not even basic hygiene practices in place, The bedrooms are very very basic and dated and certainly not worth a fraction of what they are charging for them. We will certainly never return there again and would never recommend it to anyone.

Tourist Hostel and Bar on beautiful Achill Island, Co. Mayo, Ireland. Historic Victorian house in scenic area close to beaches. Visit the charming Woodland Faerie Trail and Gift Shop on our grounds. Minutes from Blue Flag beach. Music sessions, darts and pool in our pub. Warm, friendly atmosphere. Activities arranged, groups & individuals welcome.
We stayed for 5 days in the valley hostel and we had a ball! The bar was great craic, lovely food and the staff are so helpful and friendly! The beds are very comfortable and there’s charging ports for each bed so no fighting over sockets! Bathrooms are pretty modern and a good shower too! ( also provided with towels) I’d highly recommend and I will be returning!

Water's Edge is one of Achill Island's newest guesthouses, on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. We are within minutes of blue flag beaches, fishing lakes and exceptional coastal and mountain walks. Water's Edge is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
A modern house in a large garden about 500m from the water's edge and 2k from the nearest bus stop (I was travelling by bus). Everything is well-appointed except my bath is not in use - for 'climate change reasons' - but a disappointment for this walker. Lovely breakfast and handy location for the 'Valley Loop' walk.

Lavelle's Seaside House Guesthouse, and adjoining bar Mickey's, are situated on the route of the Wild Atlantic Way, in the quiet seaside village of Dooega, Achill Island, Co. Mayo. It is the perfect base to tour the stunning Atlantic Drive, take part in the many activities available on the Island or just chill out and enjoy the spectacular scenery.
Would highly recommend a stay with Susan in Lavelles, we were made feel so welcome by Susan when we booked Lavelles last minute after another hotel had let us down. The room was lovely & spacious with a beautiful beach view. Paddy in the bar was so good to us as well organizing a taxi for us to go to a restaurant for dinner & back again to Lavelles for drinks by the fire in the cosy pub as the rain fell outside. Thanks Susan & Paddy for showing us such genuine hospitality, we will definitely be back again.

I would happily recommend Roskeel house; large comfortable room with good shower, great breakfast and a very friendly and helpful hostess. Lots to do in the area, and very close to Keel beach. Some nice places to eat close by

Unique views from a traditional, charming and just refurbished stone building. 10 rooms en-suite, wine bar, pool area, restaurant. Just a Magical Place!
16 older Men from Bluebell Community Development Project Dublin aging from 50- 80 ended up in Pure Magic by pure chance as the accommodation in our hotel on Achill Island was pulled at the last moment because of 2 Hollywood films being shot on the Island. To say we were distraught was an understatement I contacted Teresa in Pure Magic to see if they could help us they could. It was really meant to happen us staying there as it turned out to be our best trip yet we go away with the Men every year but this one was really special. Teresa, Marin and Francois could not have been more helpful the food was amazing best Pizza's I've had, the atmosphere and vibes was truly magical. You don't have to be into Kite Surfing to enjoy the experience of Pure Magic and The beautiful Island of Achill
