This hostel is quite ordinary with no specials. It is very clean, the bathroom is very okay and the staff friendly. It was a shame they send us to a rather disappointing restaurant when we asked for a tip. The breakfast is not fantastic, but okay for the included price.

All rooms are fitted with hardwood floors. Extras include a desk. At Auberge de Jeunesse de Namur you will find a garden, barbecue facilities and a terrace. Clean, comfortable, and very friendly reception staff. Each bed has its own plug and mini light, and each room has its own shower cubicle. The setting is also quaint and lovely as it is situated by the river, so you always have a great view while looking out the window. They have a good selection of beers, nice music in the afternoon and night and a great breakfast in the morning. There is really nothing to complain about except maybe for its proximity to the city center, as it takes quite a walk to get there...but hey...we all could use some exercise. If you end up in Namur, stay at this place and visit Piano bar too.

The hostel occupies the main building of a former convent. You can still admire the brick arches of the cloister around the courtyard. During the summer we put the terrace there to have a drink, play Ping-Pong, watch a concert or enjoy the BBQ... The hostel features a large courtyard and convivial common spaces (TV lounge and game area with a billiard, a tennis table and a kicker). Large private bedrooms with bathrooms can accommodate families up to 16 people. There is a kitchen for the guests, and the sustainable breakfast served every morning. The hostel is located 5 minutes away from the city center and 15 minutes away from historical center. The neighborhood Outre-Meuse is the central location of the Liège folklore. Each year, on the 15th of August, more than 200,000 people gather here to party. The district is characterized by its small alleys, a rich cultural life and typical bars and restaurants.
Good points: Warm, friendly staff at the reception; clean, functional and sufficient WCs and shower areas on each floor; breakfast included (very basic with hot beverages, toasts and cereals, but with some fruits); fully functional kitchen and plenty of cozy space in the common areas to chill alone or in groups. Can be improved: dormitory beds were not very clean when I arrived (previous bed sheets were still on, and some sweets were left behind on the bed... though these might be a bit hard to control on the hostel's side). Other than that, there was not much else to complain. I had a very comfortable stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting Liège on a budget. One thing to note: Location is a bit far off from the Liège-Guillemins station by foot: better to reach by bus.

The Malmedy Youth Hostel lies in the superb High Fens region of Belgium, not far from Germany. Being close to the countryside, it even has an ecological pond. Ideal for a change of scenery and relaxation, the hostel also offers numerous games and entertainments throughout the year (themed evenings, blind tests, dances, etc.). Sports enthusiasts will be delighted by the possibility of hiking, walks, cycling circuits, rock climbing, ziplines, volleyball and more. And there is no lack of culture, either, with the Malmundarium, a former monastery and now a major tourist attraction, or Stavelot Abbey! Families and groups of friends will be delighted to see the many games available at the hostel, including billiards, table football and air hockey, not to mention the playground.
We arrived late evening after a tough day’s trekking and - despite the fact there was a party night in progress (which they did warn us of well in advance) we were welcomed with efficiency and friendliness. The hostel is nicely located in the countryside in Bevercé - quite some distance outside of Malmedy itself- and that’s also perhaps it’s biggest drawback: Poor & infrequent public transport links - effectively nothing from early evening onwards. Combine that with the fact there are very few local taxis (‘though neither of these issues are the fault of the auberge) do make it extremely awkward unless you have your own transport. Plan to eat, drink & socialise within the hostel or you may feel cut-off. As for the accommodation - the rooms were clean with a nice, modern shower room, a separate toilet & central heating (important if you arrive mid-November with temperature around zero) Nothing fancy, but perfectly adequate. We were lucky to have a 6 bed dorm all to ourselves (see above party night) but can imagine it might feel a bit cramped when full. The breakfast and packed lunch we had were very good. Again, nothing fancy, but more than adequate. All in all, I’d say the hostel exceeded our expectations and was excellent value for money. Would be happy to try it out again in the spring or summer, but would be looking to hire bikes to eliminate the public transport issues. Having taken them up on their offer to join the aforementioned party, I can also attest to the fact that the drinks are economically priced and the young staff are just as enthusiastic on the dance floor as they are in dealing with guests! As my son is prone to say - Auberge De Jeunesse Malmedy “ticks all the boxes”

First of all the building is completely renovated with old details. There are 4 rooms in the B&B building. The one we had was with the mezzanine. The room is well decorated, very clean and had a beautiful / clean bathroom. The common area is amazing. A nice fire place that you can use, nice comfortable couches, a big window with a nice view and 2 big tables where they serve breakfast or where you can play a game.

The Tournai Youth Hostel is ideally situated at the heart of the City of the Five Steeples. The Grand Place or main square, as well as the Belfry and the Cathedral, both UNESCO listed buildings, are just five minutes away on foot. Plus there a lots of shops and other places to have fun! The building is a former music academy (as is borne out by the 200-hundred year-old tapestries), and stands next to the Fine Arts Museum.
Due to the limited selection of accommodation in Tournai, we booked an individual room for one night to see what this youth hostel could offer. It was beyond our expectation: a very clean room, a welcoming atmosphere, a nice mixture of younger and older guests, and a lovely courtyard. As a general rule, we had to make our beds (free linens) and had to rent towels (1.5 euro each, 5 euro deposit required) but it was not a problem at all. Each room got the bathroom, but the toilet was outside, to be shared with other guests. The price was really reasonable, including breakfast.

The Bouillon Youth Hostel towers majestically over the town and its famous medieval castle. This is without doubt the best panoramic view to be found among the youth hostels of Wallonia. Located near a small town and yet in the peaceful surroundings of the countryside, the hostel is the ideal starting point for hiking, kayaking on the Semois River or a quiet weekend as a couple, with the family or among friends. The hostel also offers accommodation in fully equipped gites for groups preferring to remain independent, close to the main building. You can enjoy the same facilities, such as access to the bar or the possibility of booking meals. So make the most of your stay in the land of Godfrey of Bouillon !
Expected to come here and have a lovely experience in Belgium and have an amazing trip away however we were appalled with the standards in general and will definitely not be returning again. Firstly we were appalled with the false pictures on the website compared to the rooms we received in our stay. Next the sheets we had for our bedding had blood stains on them as well as being warned not to have skin to skin contact with the duvets incase of illness. And then finally you couldn’t change the temperature on the showers easily and you could see clearly through the bathroom windows which is a complete lack privacy when showering. In addition to this only one of three plugs in a six person bedroom work and it causes a lot of inconvenience. Also the food I had on my first night was so catastrophic that I had to buy my own food the following evening to continue my stay in the hostel.
