Clean hostel with brilliant breakfast
Reviewed By raijasaeaeRooms are nice and clean, bathrooms/toilets ok. Good location, close to railway station and in walking distance to city center. Excellent breakfast buffet, even better than in some hotels. Would stay here again.

Welcome to experience Wilhelmina Church Towns cottages and alleys, a cozy piece of history that is very close to the adventure in the wilderness and excellent fishing. At the hostel you stay in the beautiful 1800-century houses, in apartments with 1-4 beds and own kitchen and wc. The reception is situated in Vilhelmina Tourist, about 200 meters from the accommodation facility

Reviewed By 756MichaelAYou pick up the key at the Circle K gas station. Bring your own breakfast, there in a fully functional kitchen in every house. It is an historic stay to remember. You can have dinner at a nearby hotel if you want. Free parking.

Mediocre - must have changed ownership

However, the other reviews here don't resonate with me. - The breakfast does not live up to the STF award that is being displayed of "freshly baked bread and waffles" (no Müsli, no jam, hardly any milk, cheap white bread, same every day) and by no means compares to the breakfast in other STF places. - Hygiene is also questionable - never saw anyone clean the common areas (kitchen, toilet, shower) in days. And no disinfectant. Shower became really gross after a day or two, and toilet and kitchen ran out of paper. - To my surprise, no drying room or washing facilities, which is standard in other STF major huts in Kvikkjokk or Saltoluokta, even the mountain huts have dedicated drying rooms. Doesn't really feel like a place made for hikers' needs. My guess is that this is a STF franchise that must have changed ownership recently, maximising profit. Having said that, very friendly staff (not their fault) and good potential.

We are a Hostel in Sami area/ Västerbotten, Sweden. The perfect place to stay for cyklists, motorcyklists, fishermen, hikers, hunters, sleddogmushers and all other nature loving people. Close to the river Ångermanälven, forests, several naturereserves and easy to reach by car. There are posibilies to spot animals in the wild, like reindeer, bear, fox, moose. There are places closeby for downhill skiing and cross country skiing, cliff climbing, hire snowscooters and so many more. We have a restaurant where we can prepare you dinner (every day another dish) and breakfast. Our pub is open every first saturday of the month. We like to make our guests to feel at home.

Reviewed By Peter JUte i den fria nöstan naturen i Gafsele finner man detta hostel. Sköna sängar i små och trevliga rum. Stort duschutrymme på källarplanet. Ett stort allrum med TV och ett kök i anslutning. Vacker natur i omgivningen. Tämligen lätt att ta sig till.

Järjagården är beläget på en harmonisk plats i Västerbotten, Lapplands vildmark, även kallad ”Norra Europas sista vildmark”. Här möts man för aktiviteter och upplevelser i rofylld natur. Vi som driver Järjagården är själva jägare, vilket gör att vi har kompetens inom området. Vi har även god erfarenhet av guidning vid jakt. Ett av Sveriges bästa harrvatten Endast 2 km från Järjagården sträcker sig Vojmån, som har ett av Sveriges bästa harrvatten. Letar du boende med närhet till Vojmån så har du hittat rätt. I ån finns även möjlighet att fånga stor öring. I ån och de närliggande sjöarna kan du även fiska öring, röding, sik, abborre och gädda. Catch and release är vår filosofi. Bekvämt boende På STF Järjagården vandrarhem erbjuds hemtrevliga rum för övernattning. I rummen finns bekväma enkelsängar. Här finns möjlighet till både självhushåll och helpension. Efter en lång dag ute kan man slappna av i bastun. Snösäkra vinteraktiviteter Här är snösäkerheten ett faktum, vilket gör det till en självklar plats för vinteraktiviteter. Vi ger gärna tips på platser att besöka eller guidar dig dit. Efter en kortare bilfärd finns fina skidspår för både klassiskt och skate. Familjärt med personlig service Då vi är ett familjeföretag och finns inom räckhåll, kan vi ge god service med ett personligt bemötande. Atmosfären på Järjagården ska kännas personlig och familjär. Fokus läggs på att du som gäst ska känna dig hemmastadd och väl mottagen. Genuin matlagning I Järjagårdens restaurang serveras mat som tillagas från grunden. Här kan man avnjuta en god middag och dryck, medan man diskuterar kring bordet om dagens äventyr. Ofta erbjuds traditionella och lokala råvaror från Lappland, såsom vilt, fisk, svamp och bär. Friendly and personal service
Reviewed By Björn LWe were driving through all of Sweden towards work in northern Norway, and called to book the same day. The nice and friendly family who owns the hostel arranged so we could arrive in the middle of the night and the next morning, they served a wholesome breakfast buffet and filled our thermoses with tea and coffee for the trip ahead. Just the overnight stop we needed on a long trip. Simple, no-frills accommodation but cosy and priceworthy.

Reviewed By ChristineFE1We stayed for nights in a cottage, that had seems it's best days. Needs to be renovated and put into better standard. It was spacious and good for a family with children. Free Wi´Fi worked so and so... Large TV-screen. Water pipes leaking from the toilet and the and another pipe. Water constantly on the floor. Emailed this! No reply yet... Lot's of old junk (glass jars etc) in the kitchen cabinets, and in the storage room next to the outside door. The flowers and bushes needs a good work through! Nothing had been cut for a loong time. The veranda needs to be fixed, and the furniture were not even furniture... Falling apart. The homepage needs to mention about low season (summer), and no staff at the reception then. Few people. Very quiet. We stayed here because of visiting relatives here and around. The homepage also gives an impression of nice cosy baking of "tunnbröd", but the baking cottage / room is used for people in the village to rent it to do their baking... Should be mentioned on the homepage. (Have emailed the hotel with these views. Will see about a reply...) It was like a very deserted place. There is a small but very friendly and nice museum on the grounds (for how long... no one knows... seems to worry the people in the village and the volunteers). Anyone interested in the new settlers life and so on, should visit.
