If you are feeling more adventurous you can hire a motorcycle and explore Biras surrounding beaches, the Apparalang cliff, and caves like beautiful Gua Paseo Cave in Ara. Bira is also famous for its beautiful dive spots.

We are located in the heart of Makassar city. We provide low-cost longing with friendly staffs, clean and comfortable rooms, and good amenities. We provide services for our guests such as tour guides, renting car or motorbike, and laundry. We have elevator to access your room from the lobby, hot showers for every rooms, 24 hours receptionist if you're check-in late, free breakfast, airport shuttle with extra fee, free WiFi and windows for every rooms. Good for knees, bad for recharging

Finding a decent place to stay is another matter, and I rely on reviews to help decide, hence this was my choice, and now this us my opinion. I met owner/manager/very friendly & helpful RITA upon entering. She gave me a good orientation of the building—I am VERY PLEASED with the lift and the WiFi. The location is quite good, too; it was easy for me to GimpWalk to the historic waterfront. Once inside the room I enjoyed a bit of television and lots of outside traffic noise (to be expected anytime your budget room is facing the road) and a lovely firm bed. The shower was also very nice, with ample hot & cold water. And this us the first time ever I have seen an automatic “bum gun”/bidet! HOWEVER, I was quite surprised to find that the only outlet available for recharging my devices was used for the television. Fortunately, I did NOT have to unplug the TV to recharge as I brought a battery pack to recharge with. I would stay here again, and it has my “Wheel of Approval!”

Reviewed By fadli998The hotel was Good, with the humble staff n friendly... I love the Nasi kuning menu... Its so Manado taste... But the standard room a little bit small, but i love the Bed, very comfort. I think its more comfortable if the single bed change in to the bigger one...

Typical hostel, clean, worth it
Reviewed By skatenurseThe first "typical" hostel I have stayed at in Indonesia! Dorm rooms on the 3rd floor have 3 bunk beds, air conditioning and lockers. A blanket and towel are provided. Shared bathroom is clean and has separate showers. Toilets are western, but bring your own toilet paper if you haven't figured out how to use the sprayer! Showers have nice smelling soap in a dispenser. It's located very close to an intersection, so it was a bit noisy at night, but it was also Independence Day. The hostel for some reason is locked in the day time, so you may have to ring the door bell to get back in. This was a bit of a nuisance for me, which is why I gave 4/5 stars. It's located right in the city- you can walk to the mall or the market within 15 min. Breakfast was Indonesian, and lots of fried bananas. It's easy to find cheap fruit if you would rather have that- there is a stocked kitchen. Laundry is available on the 3rd floor, at no cost. Worth it for the price.

Unclean and unirganized
Reviewed By addicted_2_waterArrived with booking made on Traveloka. Rooms were booked but they “upgraded” me so I could stay the night. Instead of a room with single bed I got a double bed so that was fine. Cleanliness is a huge issue here. The room needs a really good sweep and mop including shower area. No shower towels or toilet paper not hot water shower. Breakfast of nasi campur was included so I appreciate that as well and free water bottle refills.

Hotel Stay at Panda Beach 2, Tanjung Bira
Reviewed By Asyh1987I found out about this hotel from Traveloka, so far it is the best for you to get good selection with better price compared to Agoda/Booking.com. The reason why I love this place due to the location is easy access in Tanjung Bira plus they have their own beach for those privacy lovers. They have to section which is normal room & seaview room (newly built). I select the seaview room & it is perfect as we are facing the sea directly & located right next to the information counter (available 24hours) with wifi only for seaview area. There is no restaurant but they do provide free breakfast for their guest from 7am until 10am. They cater 3 type of breakfast (indonesian, oriental & american type). They also have the Bintang Beer (indonesian beer, no other alcohol options here in Tanjung Bira). For our room, it is fully glasses so you able to see the sea directly. So far there is no service in renting a snorkeling gear so please bring your own unless you will end up buying it nearby the beach which is to me less options & expensive. During my stay, everything is great only the weather is too hot compared to Bali. I wish they provide fan inside the room & the receptionist/dining area as the weather makes you wanted to locked yourself inside your aircondition room. For my room per night is MYR273.00 (malaysian ringgit). I recommend you to rent a motorbike (scooter) which is 80,000 Rupiah per day to explore the Tanjung Bira easily. You may rent it directly from the hotel as the price is standard price everywhere but please ask them to demonstrate how to use the scooter & check the fuel before you start your journey exploring Tanjung Bira. From Makassar driving to Panda Beach 2 in Tanjung Bira, it took around 6hours driving. We choose to get our own personal driver as it is more convenient & comfortable to me. For the taxi fare total, I check directly from the Grab Apps by searching from my hotel stay in makassar to panda beach 2 in Tanjung Bira and it cost us 663,000 Rupiah from drop off and another 663,000 for pick up. This fare might change due to time and seasons. You may call the helpful Grabcar Driver Pak Andre at +6285343794384 & Pak Yassir at +6285399001818, they both providing private transportation service and they are they grabcar driver which is trusted & reliable.

A very bad experience and bad management!!!!!!!!

When i came to scuba republic the receiptionist say that they didnt receive any booking notification from ticket.com so they sold all the room when i come to check in. And when i ask how rlto solve this problem they offer other room for IDR 500k (and it's not worth that money at all) for us and the receiptionist offer me her room at bira but i dont like it because they didnt solve the first problem at all. They always said they didnt receive any notification and the owner wasn't there. So i have to drive back to my city(5 hour driving car) . I dont wanna going this place anymore and i wont recommend this place too. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER FOR US !!!!!!!!!!!!
