Once you’ve regained composure, head out on a bicycle to see the rest of this glorious city. Hostal La Salle is located in Santiago de Compostela’s beautiful Old Town, just 8 minutes’ walk from the cathedral. It offers a 24-hour reception and rooms with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV.The rooms at the La Salle feature tiled floors and simple, classic-style décor. Each one has a private bathroom with a hairdryer. The guest house has vending machines for snacks and drinks. There is a variety of good restaurants within a 10-minute walk. The La Salle is just 5 minutes’ walk from the university and Monte da Almáciga Park. You can drive to Santiago Airport in 15 minutes.
Stayed here after 5-1/2 weeks on el Camino. Just on the edge of the historic part of town, 5 to 10 minute walk to the Cathedral. About the same distance to the bus station. Comfortable size room with en-suite, good laundry with washing machine & dryer. Over 3 nights the linen or towels were not changed. Helpful staff with good English.

Benvido Monte do Gozo offers not only a wide variety of quality accommodation for pilgrims and tourists, but also a spacious leisure area consisting of large and well-tended green spaces, swiming pools, a modern beer house and a vast array of shops and services.
I'm just writing about the cafe/beer house as I have not stayed in the property itself. The cafe was fantastic...brilliant decor, so spacious, tasty food, lovely ambiance. There are great views from the cafe of the surrounding area and my friend and I commented to each other that in the summer it must be an amazing space for sitting outside, relaxing, in the sunshine. I would thoroughly recommend the cafe in the Benvido complex.

Loved this place on arrival, warm welcome from friendly and efficient hostess, basic but comfortable room and not a bad location. A bar downstairs with a lovely atmosphere. Spoiled for me when charged extra for my second cup of coffee at breakfast after already paid for "Special Breakfast", Very Petty.

Compostela Inn Albergue: It is a new concept in accommodation, which offers an attractive pricing policy; Its bungalows have small rooms, but comfortable for one, two, three or four people, all equipped with bathroom and shower, some with TV pavilion with national and international channels. Located in the center of the resort, reception, has been transformed into a friendly environment. It also has room which can be used for breakfast, reading, TV, allowing you to enjoy a comfortable and pleasant stay
Clean room. The wifi was ok. The tobacco smelling in the room was not good. Thin walls, we heard everything people in near rooms were doing and all noises at the street (cars or people passing by). The reception was close and we had a number to phone to, which was answered by the recepcionist from the hotel across the road and we check-in and out there.

Wonderful find! Beautiful guest house that feels like home. Easy walk to everything. Close to the Cathedral, Alameda Park and great restaurants (San Clemente) and cafes right around the corner. The view from our room was priceless. Great room; bath - even the bathroom had a view! The owner is lovely and prepares the best breakfasts! The perfect spot for tired pilgrims ready to enjoy Santiago! Ask for the room with the view - I think 201.

Excellent albergue when finising Camino. From my point of view this albergue has many advantages: + located just few minutes from main Santiago attractions (cathderal, main square, pilgrim's office, museum,...) + good price regarding that albergue is really in center, new, well up-keeped + also in dormitories you have some privacy and luxury Namely, each sleeping niche is named by one of the Camino (e.g. Portugal, Frances, Primitivo,...) and there are only two bunk beds in it and also bathroom (so you have almost en-suite bathroom). Each bed is equipped with socket outlet and there is also a locker where you can lock-in your backpack and valuables when exploring Santiago. The man at the front desk was nice and helpful and there is Wi-Fi available (for free as i remember). In the ground floor there is also a kitchen and small inner courtyard where you can dry your clothes - only drawback is that due to high walls there is not much sun there so it takes a bit more time to completely dry your clothes. Entering time for albergue is from 1 p.m. on.
