The oldest city in Colombia, romantic Santa Marta is fringed by beautiful beaches and the stunning mountains of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta range. Ancient ruins take cover in the lush mangrove forests of Tayrona National Park, the perfect spot for a day hike. Snorkel along vibrant reefs, then make your way to a café for a multicultural meal that incorporates the flavors of Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe. When the sun goes down, the nightlife kicks up its heels in the bars and discos of the Parque de Los Novios.

Escape from the Caribbean heat enjoying our big swimming pool, hammocks and garden, large communal kitchen, TV lounge, bar and Italian Restaurant. Our vibe is relaxed and the hostel is located in a strategic position just outside the crowded city center but on the way to the Tayrona Park, Minca, Taganga and Rodadero. The city's bus station "Terminal" is three minutes away and in the immediate area you'll find supermarkets, a bilingual cinema, ATM etc. Travelers from all walks of life are welcome and we look forward to hosting you soon!
Room was spacy, amenities were simple but effective. It definitely is more of a hostel geared towards a younger crowd who like to have fun.... so don't always expect to it to be quiet. Nevertheless, really well-run place and great location for a Santa Marta stopover especially if you're looking to travel further north to Parque Tayrona, etc. The staff there are well-informed and always helpful. Gabriel, Jesus and Carlos (at the bar) were always approachable and helpful.

Had a blast at Viajero, it’s a great place to stay. Wonderful roof terrace and pool. The rooms were nice and very clean. Especially the team was super attentive and helpful. Upon arrival Monika greeted us at the reception and she even talked fluent German. I felt very welcome from the start. Good party and drinks as well. Highly recommended!

When you are poorly, come here, beyond the cathedral. It's not a fancy hostel, but people will take care of you. Which happened to me after rampants diarrhoeoa. The girl fully made sure I was ok, mopped up my brown with no thing after from asks to call the hospital three times. I kept assuring her I was ok, as I crawled back to bed. I emerged weak. Just a ceviche wich processed the wrong way with vinegar. These things normally don't happen. When they did, she was concern. Next day, I was drained yet fine. Well, well enough to enjoy meeting my friend somewhere else in Colombia again. When you travel and inopportune things happen, that simple no fuss sure-you're-ok attitude is lovely.
