That’s what true Moscow is – a combination of layers and epochs around the corner: from bohemian Patriarch Ponds to lofty and industrial Red October surrounded by the waters of Moscow river. Exploring different neighborhoods of the Russian capital allows visitors to dig into its rich and vibrant history while staying firmly in the present.

A clean and fresh hostel, with spacious (dorm)rooms. The vibe is modern and clean, but at the same time you can still hang out and have a beer in the loft-like common room. Good staff, with a special shoutout to Julia, who showed me some amazing places in Moscow.

Hostels Rus - Chistye Prudy is situated in a very center of Moscow. In one of the top areas in absolute heart of the city, Chistye Prudy, you'll find our charming building from 1927. Our rooms have air condition and our original beds have professional hotel bed linen. Fully equipped kitchen, a reasonable amount of shower and toilet rooms. In the hostel guests can hear pleasant music everywhere. You may have known this hostel as "Fasol". We made renovation and rebranding and now are waiting for you!
It was difficult to find the place at first, but after we knew the location, it was easy and took us around 5-10 minutes from the metro. My mom and I stayed here for 2 nights. We arrived around midnight and the staff was still there for us taking us through the check in and to the facilities. We were in the twin room. The room was quite clean and comfy. The shared bathroom and toilet was OK (you need to have your own toiletries). Heater worked well. The staff was friendly and my mom likes the female cleaner a lot. The internet I bought from the airport did not work in the building and I tried the hostel WiFi through the Russian mobile number registration and it also failed. What I did was staying near the window for stronger signal. I think this was the trouble with Russian internet signal. (Please correct me if I’m wrong). Overall stay was quite good. I will book this place again next time.

Enjoy panoramic windows and French balconies that overlook Tverskaya street and give you the feel of big city life: bright lights, rushing people and the Kremlin stars just beyond. Vagabond Hostel is designed in such a way that everyone can find his/her private space and favorite view. The reception staff speaks several languages (English is not a problem).
Great experience here. Wound up using it as a locker for several days after my stay for my big bag while I went to st Petersberg, and extending my stay there a few times. Very welcoming like a family. Amazing location!!! I was in a 8 bed dorm, I think the bigger dorm would have been better as it is much bigger and more spacious. Can get little cramped in the smaller dorm and hot in the summer, even with the air con. Highly recommended, I will be returning the next time I’m in Moscow!!

Godzillas is located in a pre-revolutionary building in the centre of Moscow. All around is the historic centre of Moscow within easy walking distance to explore. The hostel is clean and comfortable and newly renovated to offer our guests a memorable stay. Godzillas is Western managed with friendly English speaking staff. You'll find us friendly and knowledgeable, the location of our hostel ideal, and our surrounding city an inviting one. Godzillas is within easy walking distance of Pushkin Square (7 minutes) and all the central Moscow sites. At night this area is vibrant with bars, clubs and restaurants. It is a 20-minute walk to the Kremlin and other historic landmarks. From the various train stations it is within easy access via taxi off the Garden Ring or via Metro (Tsvetnoi Bulvar Metro). The metro is 5 minutes walk away from the hostel.
This hostel is in such a central location but there is no sign outside so was tricky to find upon first arrival. There’s a great 24 hour grocery store about a 60 second walk from the hostel. The staff were really helpful and friendly throughout. The only downside was that we were on the second floor and the kitchen on that floor was really old and a bit grimy. The only shower room on that floor was accessible by walking through the kitchen and that room wasn’t great either. We showered in the 3rd floor showers which were fine as part of the ceiling fell down in the bathroom on the second floor whilst we were there. Don’t let that put you off though as the staff were straight on it with getting it closed off and fixed.

Stylish, youth and comfortable hostel in the heart of Moscow! The Windows face directly on the Arbat! For recreation, guests have all the necessary amenities: cozy beds made of natural materials with a reliable staircase and blinds.
Located right on the vibrant oedesyrian way of Arbat Street, with banks, restaurants, souvenir shops, grocery stores, metro station all within walking distance, one couldn't have asked for more as far as location is concerned. The hostel is located on the fourth floor and there is no provision of using the lift unless one carries luggage. The washrooms and toilets were clean. They have a well equipped kitchen. It was our bad luck that we had a baby occupying our dorm who was traveling alongwith the mother and she would cry and create havoc during night as well as day. I feel the hostel should review their policy of allowing people accompanied by babies to stay in a dorm for the sake of other occupants living in that room.

Our stay costed us 2600 for 4 days per person. To tell the truth, we liked the fact that we came to Moscow to the World Cup with friends and settled in a 12-bed room. So, we had 6 more people, but they were all sane. They also arrived in Moscow to the Championship, so we had common topics for communication. We booked the beds in advance, almost before 2 months, because it was impossible to break into any of the hotels. But here even the prices are good. There was also a kitchen so we could cook and eat easily, moreover, utensils, microwave and washing machine were also available. What we did not like is that the rooms are reeeaaally small and for 12 people it was difficult to stay. It was very hot, the window was tiny, no air conditioning, so we had to open the window and sleep with the door open to make at least some draught. Hostel is hostel, but the cleanliness is guaranteed, it's nice. In the shower and in the toilet in the morning there is incredible turn, so it is better to wake up later or vice versa :) But it’s unreal to find such prices in the center of Moscow, in connection with that we also saved some cash on transport.

I spend three nights at the safari hostel. The location is great. it's quite near trubnaya station, although the hostel is just signed on peteovka ulitsa..It is 10-20 min walking from Kremlin/ Red Square and very near the center of town . If it's an economy place with a great location you look for, this is the place. There are plenty of bathrooms and toilets that we don’t have to wait around to use them. Breakfast is simple. I had some difficulties to find the entrance of the hostel. I turned up expecting to meet people, but most of guests was from Russia .

The bathroom wasn't clear enough, I can see some hair on the floor. The room was hot, even with air condition on, also I was hearing girls screaming at night and this morning! I had long check in because the reception don't speak English. The reception guy wasn't nice, yesterday at night I came and ordered 4 bottle of water, i don't know, he is kinda angry, he gave me the water and i couldn't hold all of them, he even didn't give me a plactic bag, seems he don't care. Next day I decided to check out early morning, and i meet the same reception with same behavior.
