Comfortable and clean!

Reviewed By emilyoung3

I had an amazing stay here! It was spotlessly clean, the beds were so comfortable, and they had thoughtful touches that make travelers feel at home. I had all the privacy I would want, which is more than you would ever expect at a hostel. The location is fantastic, within walking distance of everything you would need downtown. And the price is remarkable! Stay here!!

Welcome to Brownies, our quaint, rustic hostel in East Glacier Park, just 8 miles from the Two Medicine entrance to Glacier National Park. The historic 1908 log building houses a bakery, cafe, deli and general store on the main floor and a hostel on the second. Come to rest after a long day of hiking, make some new friends, and wake up each morning to the smell of fresh-baked cinnamon rolls and lattes downstairs. There are men and women's dorms and three types of private rooms available: rooms with 1 queen bed which sleep 2; a room with two twin beds; and two family rooms which sleep four. Guests have access to our men's and women's bathrooms, kitchen, and common living spaces, including an upstairs porch overlooking the majestic Rockies. Welcome to Brownies!

we stayed here for the second time, we went the Glacier national park for 2 times, and both 2 times, we booked the hostel there to stay for a night. We booked a quad room, so our family can sleep in the room, the hostel offer private room for people to book, the price is reasonable, the amenities are simply but enough, they provided the lining for you, but you have to take it out when you check-out the room. There is a bakery shop downstairs, you can buy food, snacks there, we bought some ice-cream after dinner. There is a kitchen, you can cook, a comment room, you can chit-chat with others. There is shared bathroom and restroom, but also has s newer bathroom and restroom at the other end, for those newer one, it's one toilet in one room, or one shower in one room. The staffs are friendly. But people may get up very early in the morning, so you may hear the people walking sound in 5am.

North Fork Hostel and Square Peg Ranch

Quaint spot tucked away across from Glacier N.P.

Reviewed By JohnBakerTN

My wife and I rode our mountain tandem bike over Whitefish Divide and camped at the North Fork Hostel. I emailed Oliver the day before that we were coming and he told us to make ourselves at home as he would be home from work after 5:30. We showered (quickly), pitched our tent and took in the area before Oliver arrived. The hostel is off the grid. Solar power. Propane gas. Outhouses. If you look beyond the rough edges, Polebridge is a gem of a place to visit. At night, we were at the saloon in town as the sun and moon finally set. There are not many outside lights in Polebridge. It was a clear night and the stars came alive. My wife who is visually impaired could actually make out stars and the Milky Way. Of all of the nights on our cycling adventure, that was the most magical. The North Fork Hostel is very very cyclist friendly.

LOVED IT!

We went up there on a girls trip, all 9 of us and it was great! We all loved the bunk beds and it was nice that it had two bathrooms. We brought our own food and there was a fridge so we could store it in. The only thing that we wished it had was and oven, the toaster oven was nice though.

Wonderful basic no frills cabin in east glacier Montana. 3 nights were $168 including taxes. I had the private queen cabin. There was a private bath. Shower and toilet in one room and sink in the main room. There is no TV or Air conditioning, but AC is not needed as it was very cool in late July. Lovely fenced in area around restaurant and cabins that guests can use. The room was clean and met my needs. Cabin is directly behind Serrano Mexican restaurant. The restaurant is for sale, so I’m not sure what will happen to this property.

R Heart Lodge

Our family enjoyed our stay at R Heart Lodge!

Reviewed By jbamm

My family stayed at the R Heart Lodge in June 2016. We were running far behind "schedule" due to driving through the BigHorn Mountains, and there was no way we were going to make it to our Yellowstone lodging that night. I was praying we'd find something available in Red Lodge, and I lucked out by finding R Heart Lodge. Rick answered our call about 9PM, and made arrangements to let us in fairly late at night. We arrived about 11PM, and Rick made us feel very welcome! We admired the unique log beams, stayed up and chatted for a bit, before crashing in bunks in one of the "family rooms". The next morning I raided our cooler, and made an egg scramble breakfast in the main kitchen, which was easy to work in because Rick had labelled all of the cabinets so you could easily find stuff. Then I got showered up while Rick and another guest were playing games with my husband and our two teenage boys. We only stayed the one night, but felt like we had made some new friends!

one of a kind hostel

Loved this friendly, comfy, and artfully furnished place. Stayed here with my tween daughter for one night and we so enjoyed it. Lynon and Kirtlye arranged so that we could stay in the 4-bed room with other females. The beds were very comfy and the bathroom area was super clean. In the morning there was excellent coffee/tea and homemade banana bread offered in the sunny front parlor. We wanted to spend some time at Whitefish Lake and the sisters lent us beach towels to use and offered the use of the showers after the formal check out time. Also, they have the sweetest dog ever, who loves to play fetch!

Treasure State Hostel

Dumpy, mildewy, and noisy

Reviewed By wendysA1667DU

This hostel could use some serious TLC. There is no air flow after you walk down the entry stairs. The carpeting is old and filthy, and the whole place smells like mildew and marijuana. Sleeping is basically out of the question because the walls are paper thin, allowing the sound of every snore and squeaky box spring to travel into your ears. The showers have hairballs, and the fan in my room was broken. About the only good thing was that my sheets seemed to have been recently washed.
