The staying experience was average. I would definitely suggest to hire cab of your own, specially if you are a foreign visitor. Try not to hire cab associated with them. I had no good experience with associated cab.

We are an upbeat Backpackers set in the heart of Ballito, although we strive to please guests of all ages and walks of life we are very popular amongst the youngsters who enjoy the wide range of night life that surrounds us. If its a more relaxed stay you looking for you just have to stroll across to the beach where you may set eyes on our local dolphins that feed along our coast.Or you can take a walk along our boardwalk that stretches along our beaches. There is a large selection of restaurants providing great food and cocktails to suit all tastes. If its a haircut or massage u need its all just around the corner. And if none of this is your cup of tea just speak to our friendly staff to help you find exactly what you looking for to make your stay an enjoyable one.
Greg and his team were friendly and helpfull, clean bathrooms and the nightquard Uagustine was a star in booking in. no issues coming back late after a party or from the close by beach, plenty space to braai and chill and the curry place opposite backpackers serves good food, spar close by for those extras, kitchen well equipped and always clean.

Khotso Horse Trails and Accommodation, deep in the Southern Drakensberg, is both a working horse and sheep farm and a perfect base to either explore, adventure or relax. Khotso is famous in the area for its spectacular horse trails, which range from 1-hour rides to 3-day cross-border expeditions into Lesotho. There is the very cosy Backpackers Lodge, a new campsite with kitchen and ablution block in the orchard next to the mountain stream, as well as 3 newly refurbished self-catering rondawels overlooking a private gorge behind. Enjoy the idyllic life that comes with living in the mountains, far away from the hustle and bustle in the towns and cities. Spend precious time with friends and family in your own rondawel or head to the Lodge for the sociable atmosphere to embrace the wonderful characters that travel here from all over the world. With the full 1 000 hectare farm at your disposal, ride over the ridge tops on horseback, hike to one of the mineral water pools, swim or fish the Umzimkulu river, mountain bike the extensive single track routes, or just take time out from your hectic day-to-day routine to relax and unwind by a fire under the stars in the breathtaking scenery of the Southern Drakensberg.
Our stay was excellent...i would definitely recommend the place, if you looking for a place to rejuvenate and totally clear your mind this is it... Visiting again soon... We thank you so much Khotso lodge.

The venue is really amazing. The lodge is found on a stunning 300 hectares of land near the foot of the Amphitheatre (Royal Natal National Park) and Cathedral Peak. The Mpande River weaves through the lands. There are buck, small mammals and a fantastic array of wild birds near the 2 dams and a picture postcard view from the lawn, a 360 degree panorama that takes in the entire Northern range from the Amphitheatre all the way to Cathkin Peak. The lodge is a base from which you can explore different sections and all the highlights of the Drakensberg Park each day. Built from stone, thatch and wood, the place is like an artist's sculpture with stained glass, metal and wooden carvings, mosaics and beautiful indigenous rockeries.
We've had a wonderful stay at the backpackers. Truly amazing view onto the Drakensberge - if you love being immersed in nature and you're into birding, definitely the right spot for you. The commodities are great: there's a huge camping site, two kitchens for self-catering (make sure to bring your own food, including salt/pepper), lounges to relax, a very nice and cozy restaurant and bar, an amazing outside area, a pool as well as an ATM. There's also a Dam just around the corner, which is wonderful to hang out at. Just know that other than the backpackers there's not much around and you're far from town - so best rent a car if you want to see some things or just enjoy your time at the backpackers. The staff is also super friendly and helpful. A perfect spot to get away from it all! I highly recommend it. Thank you for this lovely and relaxing stay, hoping to come back in the South African summer!

The camp is situated 15 km south of Hluhluwe, within indigenous woodland bushveld. Accommodation options consists of a self-catering chalet, en-suite double or twin rooms and standard double or twin rooms, family rooms, dormitories and camping. Our lodge offers meals, breakfast and dinners, next to the swimming pool and entertainment area. We offer 4x4 open-vehicle safaris to Hluhluwe/iMfolozi Game Reserve.
Bushbaby cabin was lovely surrounded by trees and quite private from the rest of the accommodation. Pool, trampoline and hammocks were great for the kids. Friendly helpful staff - particularly Sama who lent us her plug adapter - thank you!
