Reviewed By liverpool1023Reasonably priced. Clean. Good breakfast. Only 10 minutes walk into the centre of Kalmar. Handy for the bridge over to Oland and has free parking. Great budget option for high season. Our room was quite small with two single beds and a bit airless, and had a shared bathroom.

Reviewed By RabendarmVery nice little Hotel! Very quite peaceful place. The rooms are cosy and the staff speaks very good English, like all the people in Sweden. The food at lunch and evening is very delicious Thai (watch out and ask what is hot! Otherwise it burns. Probably twice...) Breakfast is absolutely fine. Best price compared to other hotels in this area. Sehr schönes kleines Hotel! Sehr ruhige und friedvolle Umgebung. Die Zimmer sind gemütlich und das Personal spricht sehr gutes Englisch, so wie alle Leute in Schweden. Mittag- und Abendessen ist sehr leckeres Thai (passt auf und fragt was heiß ist! Könnte brennen. Vermutlich sogar zweimal...). Frühstück ist absolut in Ordnung. Bester Preis verglichen mit anderen Hotels in der Umgebung.

Good for a hostel
Reviewed By LillemusenIf you want to go cheep and simple, this is the right place. It is simply a sleepover place but you can pay for linnen and towels, buy some snacks and sweets, whereas coffee and tea are free. Kitchen and toilets are common, there is a washing machine and also a common tv room with a library. Wifi is available, but there was something wrong with it so it had to be repaired first. Toilet on the upperfloor is out of service as well as entrance door nr. 2 (which makes you walk all around the house if you want to reach the upperfloor). Toilets need some additional cleaning (also the parts that do not draw ones immediate attention). Parking space is ample, there is also a small area with benches and a small playground. Vert close to the lake and three places where one can eat in Virserum.

The hostel is housed in old church stables, a 60 m long red-stained building in beautiful countryside at the centre of the small village of Langasjo. The hotel is open all year round. A breakfast buffet is available May to August. We have a cafe open during summer. There are bicycles for hire. Playground near the hostel. Here you can enjoy peace and quiet in a beautiful natural environment. If it is warm, you can take a refreshing dip in Lake Langasjon, which is only 100 m away. There are also fine walking trails around the lake, wild fishing and rich birdlife. Enjoy a relaxing trip into the deep forests of Smaland. There are walking trails and cycle paths surrounding Vilhelm Moberg's Emigrant District. 1.5 Km to Klasatorpet where the film Emigrants was recorded. The hostel houses an emigrant's museum. We are at the heart of the Kingdom of Crystal, several glassworks can be found between 15-45 km away. Golf course 10km.
NIce Cozy Hostel
Reviewed By goncaloluzA nice cozy hostel, beautifully built in the old church stables. Eva, the warm welcoming manager, takes care of you, as you arrive. She makes you feel like home. The place is simple, clean and well taken care of. The toilets/showers are outside the rooms (at least the one I took) and they serve two rooms each. There is a sink with a tap in the room. There is also a communal kitchen available. Beautiful walks around the lake and in the forest around. Continental breakfast available for an extra charge, with herring on the side for those who like Swedish delicacies.

Lönneberga Vandrarhem omges av lugn natur och ligger 500 meter från en sandstrand vid Silverån. Till Astrid Lindgrens Värld är det 23 km. De individuellt inredda rummen på Lönneberga vandrarhem bjuder på utsikt över trädgården. Du kan koppla av i ett gemensamt TV-rum och använda vandrarhemmets gemensamma kök. Utomhus finns en badtunna för uthyrning , trädgård med grillar och lekplats. Utomhus leksaker finns att låna . Kanoter kan hyras på boendet. Vandringsleden Lönnebergaleden ligger cirka 20 meter bort.
Bad experience with room and manager.
Reviewed By Michael RAwful place. We had a room in the basement. The basement had an awful smell of toilet/sewer. We didn’t want to sleep there with our small children. The manager where very rude and aggressiv towards my wife when we telephoned him. He accussed us for trying to get out of a reservation. We where just trying to get a nice place for our children to sleep. It all ended up so we took our four children on a 3 - 4 hour var drive to Gothenburg so we could get back home. He would not refund any money. He charged the full amount. I can’t revommend this hostel at all. Bad service, Awful smell in the basement (where they have two rooms), rude manager. There isn’t a lot of Astrid Lindgrens spirit in this place. Upstairs it looked clean but run down. Travellers tip: Make your business somewhere else. That you won’t regret. The area is nice and there are plenty of good and friendly options of acommodation.

Reviewed By KurtM28A great location. Walking distance to town centre but quiet and with nature around. Comfortable beds. Spic-and-span clean. Lovely host. Excellent breakfast. I must come back when the weather has become warmer and the outdoor facilities (chairs, tables,BBQ) can be used. Highly recommended!

Reviewed By AltengrabowWe liked our stay in odevata very much the room was very comfortable and of very high standard the surroundings the lake the woods and the animals at the courtyard where real Swedish countryside the breakfast was also very good with eggs meat and cheese made by farmers from the village not to forget we forgot to stuffed animals of our children and the owner of odevata sended it back to our home by post that was very kind

Reviewed By ClaesKalasSpent a short break with the family. Very nice corona/off-season solution where we had the main building to ourselves. Great hospitality, great atmosphere - with the fireplace room as an extra bonus. Great catering from the Sjökanten restaurant for dinner and lunch.

Reviewed By 365kerstinnEn underbar stugby i Orrefors, ligger precis vid en damm som man kan promenera runt, med trevliga inslag av gamla prylar såsom flygplan, fyr, brandbil samt gamla bensinpumpar. Inte att förglömma mottagandet av denna underbara värd.
