The region of Campania curves around the bays of Naples and Sorrento, with towering Vesuvius and mountain ranges and massifs looming above. Ancient classical ruins are scattered throughout the region, from the ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum to the Greek temples in Paestum. Popular resort towns include charming Sorrento and Amalfi, upscale Positano and haven for the elite, Ravello. For even more memorable sights, catch a ferry from Sorrento or Naples to the isle of Capri, home of the magical Blue Grotto.

We went to the Pettirosso restaurant two nights during our stay in Agerola. He grows his own vegetables and grapes so the wine and food you drink is from your actual surroundings! The food felt like it was cooked by a loving Italian grandma and the venue was romantic and rustic. It was perfect for a night after going to the path of the Gods.

Fattoria Terranova The Terranova Farm is a farmhouse holiday spot in Sorrento situated near the “Le Tore” nature reserve. The farm occupies six acres of land, distributed amongst a staircase of terraces which all descend harmoniously towards the sea.Facing you will be the enchanting Li Galli and Vetara islands where legend has it that Ulysses met beautiful mermaid creatures. Surrounding you will also be the colors and scents of the Mediterranean
A perfect agriturismo for us is a rustic location with rustic but clean rooms combined with a very good restaurant. Well, Terranova ticks all these boxes! The central farmhouse is magnificently idyllic. Located there are the reception, shop and restaurant. The restaurant and staff is really great. The food is exceptionally good and the host is passionate and proud about the local produce and wines. Try the almond cake desert! Breakfast is good! They serve fresh eggs and various cakes and sweet pastry as well. There is a small pool with bar and various livestock. We loved it here!

The farm holiday “Zio Cristoforo” is situated in Casal Velino, in the direction of the old centre. There are bedrooms and apartments and a wonderful pool.In the bedrooms we offer Bed and Breakfast or Half board. Inside there are: wardrobe, tv, little fridge, private bathroom with shower box. Casalvelino is situated in the middle of the Natural Park of Cilento, surrounded by olive trees,on the hills that face the gulf of Velia.
We were at Alessia's beautiful farm hostel in October 2021, with 13 persons - three families with their kids and teens. Alessia welcomed us like family and we felt very comfortable right away. They really cared for our well-being and in particular, the food was excellent and authentic, both the breakfast and the great dinner. Don't miss to taste the wine and bring home the olive oil directly produced at the farm, it's delicious. We lived in the house on the other side of the small street which is located near the swimming pool. Although it was already October and really cold at night, our hosts were so friendly to keep the pool open what was a great fun for the kids. The houses/appartments are comfortable and very clean, although rather simple - but I don't expect a luxury appartment on a farm! However, for those looking for an authentic place to calm down in nice rural region, this is definitely a great place. Thanks a lot, dear Alessia, Stefano and team, for six wonderful days at your farm. Whenever we'll be back in the Cilento region, we'll come around!

Bellissima struttura posta tra gli uliveti e spazi incontaminati...
Pleasure, nature, good food, wonderful. If you wish to spend a weekend in a nature full immersion, in a country place where relax, or enjoy with children and taste dishes with regional recipes with natural ingredients, you choose a right place. Flavia and Carlo will welcome making your self at home.

We stumbled on this place pretty much by chance but decided to stay longer because we really liked it there. Simple, clean, friendly people. The rooms are very nice, decorated tastefully with old furniture. For all the non Italians: the breakfast is typically 'Italian' (coffee and biscuits), For me this was great, but some other people might expect something else.

We spent a blissful few days staying in this wonderful agriturismo. Although only a few minutes' drive from Castellabate and the nearby beaches, this rural idyll is surrounded by lush countryside. The only noise is that of the gentle cicadia. We had a 2 bedroom suite with massive veranda- perfect for our family with 2 young children. The owner of the place, and the emotional force behind this captivating escape from reality is the absolutely lovely Gabriella: welcoming, kind-hearted, generous and warm. She made us feel at home from the second we arrived. She delighted the kids every day with honey taken straight from her own bees. Breakfast is served on the beautiful shaded terrace and consists of a selection of home made delights that change daily. One of the highlights of the entire trip to Italy was the home-made meal that Gabriella made for us and some of the other guests. It was a real banquet- home-made pasta with almond pesto, delicious local organic sausages from a nearby farm, hand cut chips, fresh local vegetable and salad, and great desserts made with great attention to detail. Of course, the local wine and dessert wines were flowing at no extra cost. Great value at EUR 20 per head for everything. Although the meal at the agriturismo was by far the best meal we had in the area, we also enjoyed dinners at Trattoria Alano, Trattoria da Giovanna (also in Alano) and La Fattoria (also in Alano). The food choices in Castellabate and Santa Maria are really overpriced tourist fare and were nothing special. We had a delicious lunch at a local farm, Caseificio Antica Giara, where they serve a selection of products made from their own buffalos. The highlight of course was the mozzarella di buffala.

Putting in words the deep feeling of wellbeing and happiness you get in Villa Vea is not easy. What I can try to describe is the very clear kindness and warmth that Andrea, Emilio, Angela and super grandma share with their hosts as soon as you get there. The peaceful atmosphere is superb, views are breathtaking and the calmness will stay with you for the whole time you are there. What is special about their food is how they are able to offer extremely genuinely 0 km home-grown products cooked in such a rich and delicious way. Your palate will smile and your body will be grateful for the wholesome meals. Wine is an elixir and spoiling yourself with one of their special sweets is a great way to end the meal. I go back to Bellosguardo a few times a year and whenever I go, this little corner of paradise makes me feel glad to be alive. Thanks for the treat!

Wonderful place in the country side near Capua. Fantastic apricot, kiwi and strawberry jams of their own production. Simple rooms, but clean. Remember to take with you anti - insect protection, especially during summer.
