The service was impeccable. Front of house were attentive and professional. Even though they probably wanted to be out partying. Atmosphere was great with a beautiful decor. Food was great….full of flavour and well presented. My first time at Heather Glen but won’t be the last. Couldn’t fault anything about the day or night!

A Corner of Eden is a chic collection of 3 holiday cottages in a hidden corner of Cumbria, situated in the newly extended Yorkshire Dales and close to the Lake District. There's Angel Barn (sleeps 6), The Farmhouse (sleeps 8) and the stunning Shepherd's Cottage (romantic retreat for two).
Our second time at angel barn and we’ll be back. Gorgeous setting with walks on the doorstep and lovely views from the hot tub. Accommodation spotless, well kitted out and beds very comfy. A lovely touch to have a welcome hamper with local products too. Debbie is super helpful. Would highly recommend.

We originally booked our honeymoon at Mirefoot but were stopped by COVID. We left our deposit and were finally able to use this against our honeymoon 2.0. We were promptly met on arrival by Ricky who kindly showed us round the site, unlocked the dog wash and gave our pooch a toy! The property was well kept and we had a very luxurious stay at Shepherd's View. The owners and staff were all very friendly and ready to provide recommendations for walks or places to eat in the local area - in addition to the wealth of information in the guest book. Comfy beds, great sound system, well equipped kitchen - although the frying pan was not induction compatible. We booked to use the spa twice - privately which was very special! We also both had massages from Emma which were fantastic - she worked out knots in my back that I didn't even know I had! Unfortunately the private dining experience was fully booked when we enquired (somewhat last minute) so we didn't get to experience that, but will have to come back to try it next time! Thank you to the whole team for a wonderful experience - we will definitely be back!

Fornside Farm Cottages enjoy a stunning location at the foot of the Helvellyn range surrounded by dramatic Lakeland scenery. We have 4 cottages beautifully converted from stone barns alongside the traditional farmhouse. They provide spacious accommodation of a very high standard retaining many original features. Well equipped, warm and welcoming with underfloor heating and a wood burning stove downstairs and radiators upstairs. Fornside Farm is a typical 17th century Lakeland hill farm, set back from the road with direct, private access to the fells. We have 54 acres of beautiful countryside with spectacular views. The farm is predominantly for sheep but we have free range hens and also keep ducks. We have a private farm trail to help you enjoy our woods, fields, streams, wildlife and fantastic views. We do not accept bookings of 3 or more cottages without prior agreement.
Fornside Farm was perfect for our visit to the Lake District. We stayed in The Old Byre in May 2022. The cottage was well appointed with everything we needed. The furnishings were very comfortable with plenty of room to store your belongings. The kitchen/dining/living area is quite large. Joanna was so thoughtful to leave a welcome supply of coffee, farm fresh eggs, and milk. The cottage was extremely clean. The outdoor spaces were lovely. The views are beautiful. We enjoyed a hike up to the top of the mountain across the street and loved walking around the farm enjoying the sheep, chickens, and ducks. The ridge behind the farm looked very inviting for another hike. The farm is well situated with a short(15 minutes) drive to Keswick. We highly recommend Fornside Farm.

Winner of the Cumbria Tourism 'Self Catering Holiday of the Year' 2010, 2012 & 2014. Highly Commended at Visit England National Awards 2013. Tottergill Farm is set in beautiful Cumbrian countryside. Our location is truly peaceful and tranquil with stunning views of the lake district hills, the Solway Firth and the Scottish hills to the north. All our cottages have inclusive central heating, log burning stoves, private gardens and complimentary use of the leisure club at a local hotel including swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, gym, steam room etc. Four of our cottages have their own private hot tubs. There are many excellent walks right from your cottage door. Our peaceful rural location also attracts an abundance of birds and other wildlife including red squirrels, deer, badgers, foxes, hares etc. A truly great place for a relaxing holiday.
Another superb family break at tottergill. Stayed for half term week in low barn cottage.. been done up since we last stayed and looking really good… complimentary brownies were gorgeous…visited duke of Cumberland pub which was really nice.. 20 minute walk in heavy rain and wind lol but well worth it..also used leisure facilities at crown hotel which is complimentary for guests from tottergill… visited Carlisle couple of times, metro centre in Gateshead and Newcastle (all for shopping with wife and 2 daughters)…can’t rate this place highly enough and the hosts Tracey and barnaby…we have previously stayed for 4 nights and so glad we stayed for 7 this time …

We stayed in the Coach House. Our family of 4 needed a much needed break over the half term period and Kerridge edge certainly helped provide this! The Coach house was perfectly equipped will all our needs met to ensure both a relaxing and active week. Lots of lovely walks nearby for both short and long durations. The kids love bouldering and more challenging walks and this was also well catered for by the location. For those who enjoy climbing, Roaches is closeby. The cottage was a perfect size for a family of 4. The kids loved the board games available. Very clean, lovely hamper on arrival. Well equipped kitchen. The owners were lovely and attentive. Would highly recommend.
