When you think “adventure travel” you probably think of far-flung places like Belize and Alaska—not Wisconsin. But if you’re an outdoor adventurer, you’ll find plenty of places to explore in Wisconsin. A vacation in Wisconsin can put you close to the Kettle Moraine State Forest, which has excellent biking trails. Or choose Wisconsin’s Apostle Islands—kayakers will love exploring Lake Superior’s many caves and shipwrecks. Packers fans don’t wear those cheese-wedge hats for nothing! Foodies will love tasting as many of Wisconsin’s artisanal cheeses as possible. Either drive from cheesemaker to cheesemaker, or choose a Wisconsin vacation in a town with a good farmers’ market—then the cheesemakers bring their wares to you. And what goes better with artisanal cheese than craft beer? In Milwaukee, visit the Lakefront and Sprecher Breweries for tours and tastings.
Wisconsin Dells is a classic family vacation destination. A vacation in Wisconsin Dells will put you close to all the excitement—you’ll have to tear the kids away from the theme parks, wave pools and water parks in Wisconsin Dells! Lake Geneva boasts clean beaches, golf, and a small-town feel that definitely appeals to city dwellers—it’s a popular getaway for residents of Chicago.

Kinn Guesthouse is a hand curated, micro-hotel in the middle of flourishing Bayview, the epicenter of Milwaukee’s culinary scene. With eight guest suites, meticulously appointed and designed by Peabody’s Interiors, a full pro series kitchen, family room and laundry, Kinn offers a distinctly unique living experience one need only to visit once to appreciate.
Our stay at the Kinn was great. The manager was very welcoming and showed us around the common space on our floor, and even showed us to our room. To top it off, he treated us to a bottle of champagne for celebrating our anniversary. Our room was very clean and just what we needed for a night away. The common space was a unique feature and we liked that we had dedicated space in the refrigerator. Unfortunately, we didn't utilize the space much since we were only staying one night, but I can see how it'd be really nice if staying for a longer period of time. The location of the hotel was fantastic and walkable to most of the things we wanted to do and see for the weekend. We felt very safe knowing the front door was secure and only those staying in the hotel could enter. A parking garage was very close and convenient.

We have stayed here several times in the past. And had a great stay. but we were disappointed by how the room was not maintained. First, we arrived early because we knew the room had not been stayed in the night before, we even called to say when we would be arriving. and were still forced to wait 2 1/2 for the room. We then noticed ants in the room. The bathroom celling was leaking water from the unit above, the whirlpool tub did not work properly, lights were burnt out, and a few other minor things. We always loved this hotel. but after this experience, we probably won't be back

Wonderful location for access to Madison's vast bike trail system. Connie and Doug are super friendly and will go the extra mile to make sure your stay is a pleasant one. You can't go wrong staying here, especially for the price!

The Ephraim Guest House was a lovely, quaint escape for 4 days. We were visiting family & stayed in a 1 bedroom, unit 301-I think each one is a little different. It was thoughtfully decorated to meet all of our needs and included extensive amenities to make us feel at home. It was so nice to enjoy coffee in our place before we headed out for the day. The king sized bed was very comfortable and included an assortment of pillow choices. The cozy patio had a beautiful view of the Ephraim Guest House Garden. The location was wonderful; several restaurants are within walking distance. We throughly enjoyed our visit to door county and our choice of accommodations.

We stayed in a cabin and were very impressed. Pictures on website make it seem older/shabbier than it really is. It was clean and comfortable. Loved the 3 season porch out back. Lake was clean and quiet. Restaurant food and staff were just ok.

We stayed in #107 and really enjoyed it. Very clean, everything you could possibly need, comfortable furniture, beautiful shower, lovely deck with great view and a perfect little beach, 5 minute walk to all restaurants, shops and pier in town. We spent 4 nights and wish we could have stayed longer!

My son in law found these cabins in Door County- and made arrangements for kids, parents and grandparents to enjoy his favorite childhood vacation destination. And, he found the perfect spot! We had a 3 bedroom log cabin, with a large living room and dining room. The kitchen was ready for us-and there was a grill/picnic table. Each cabin was secluded in a wooded setting. The kids could ride bikes and explore the woods. Best of all- the Cabins are a 5 min walk through the woods to a playground and the waterfront in Ephraim. Easy walk to restaurants, boat rentals, sunsets, etc. Great spot!!!

Located on the shores of Lake Superior, Bayfield on the Lake is the areas premier establishment for condominium lodging. The facility has 8 rental units and all have a view of Lake Superior. Each condo includes full kitchens, 1 to 4 bedrooms, cable TV, patios or balconies. All this is just 1 block from the heart of Bayfield.
This AirB&B is a 1 bedroom apartment on the ground (or slightly below grade) level overlooking a marina. Getting in is a bit tricky but Alan provided good instructions before hand by e-mail or through AirB&B, there is no person on site. Parking is very close to the entrance, but you do need to go down several steps to enter. It has a nice covered patio with table and chairs for eating or just relaxing independent of the weather. The apartment is well-furnished with basically all one needs in the kitchen, a full bath and even a washer-dryer. The living room is really quite big and opens to the patio. One issue was the bedroom, which has a nice comfortable bed (although my wife felt it was too high) that took up almost all the floor space—architectural problem with no easy solution. Consequently there was very little space for two people to move around or to place suitcases for a short term stay. The location is terrific, just a block or two away from tour boats, the maritime museum and several restaurants.
